A favorite amongst locals, Meditteraneo serves unfussy good Italian food at reasonable prices. I like the laid back atmosphere and the decoration that really conveys that light and lively spirit of the Mediterranean. The service is friendly and in general good, and one thing I love is they serve your table a basket of warm bread, which is always welcomed when you are starving and waiting for your food. The pastas are to die for, I went with a couple of friends, we ordered different dishes and these just went around the table till we where using the bread to scrape off the remains of the sauces. We also had a hefty amount of wine; they have a great selection we chose bottles of Chianti. I strongly suggest you book ahead only because its so popular it does get pretty busy.

Wonderful food, truly Italian. Excellent staff!! pasta al dente. Bruschetta was wonderful!!!i have had the linguini al frutti Di mare and my mother the linguini al vongole... We have also shared a bottle of Sardinian wine!! Fair price! the total bill was 80 pounds: appetizer, main course, wine and coffee. Truly recommend it!! Necessary to make a reservation if going on Fridays or weekends.

I loved the ambience of this place. We sat near the window, so we had the outside air. The food was excellent, and the service was good.

Great Italian food in Notting Hill. The spaghetti was great and the sauce had a good heat to it. And the pannacotta was on point!!

Great food. Crispy calamari is outstanding. Wines are good and cheap. They are snobbish about seating and bookings even when empty.

It is a small sit, so reservations are a must, although they did accommodate some walk-ins. Everything was freshly made which added to an elevated experience. Service was perfect balance of being prepared to execute as well as being able to spending time getting to know each other. This palace is highly recommended!

My mom is, which is why we went but there are rather limited options, at least on pasta courses, that don't include pecorino. 2 - we tried three different pasta dishes. What made them truly stand out was the freshness of the pasta. That said, the sauces weren't remarkable. I tried a special pasta with pecorino, butternut squash, and mushrooms which was nice and not heavy but not partial flavorful. 3 - the ambiance is great if you like a small restaurant- with maybe 10 tables and 500 sq ft of space, this restaurant has character and charm. 4 - the service was outstanding. The staff were kind and efficient. 5 - the dessert was just OK - had some scoops of ice cream and the peanutella was outstanding while the strawberry and the pistachio were just fine. 6 - the appetizer cheese plate was the real highlight of the night here. Fresh cold cuts and cheese with the most wonderful fig jam. All in all; this is a good stop and you certainly won't have a bad experience! Perhaps just not the most notable.

We came across this place and had a preview of their menu. When we saw food we would like to try we walked in. We were sat almost immediately. It was a little slow when we first arrived but soon picked up. The staff was super friendly and the place gave a quaint home like feel. We sat down and ordered some cocktails and water. We didn't want to stuff ourselves so we order the margarita pizza and an order of fries to share. Everything came out pretty quickly. We were offered a spicy oil for our meal. The guy said it was spice but to be honest it was on the more mild side of spicy. I like spicy food and this wasn't spicy enough for me. Maybe some chili pepper flakes mixed in what have been the spicy I was expecting. My friend and I enjoyed our meal and the service. I think everything was good. The reason for my four stars was because the basil (although fresh) was scarce in my pizza. The guy also had to substitute the drink we ordered with a syrup he had in stock because the one the drink calls for wasn't available. Also, who wants to pay £4 for a bottle of water to share. Crazy. Other then those small criticisms I would come back. I think it's worth coming back to. Give them a try and judge for yourself. My tastebuds and stomach were very happy.

Giancarlo responded via email to let us know what pastors and pizza did not have eggs. We were able to order, spaghetti, rigatoni, and any pizza. We really appreciated the early notice. We each ordered a pasta or a pizza, and also split lamb chops at the table. Everything was yummy. The kids ordered the spaghetti all'Amatriciana, Rigatoni alla Genovese, and the Diavola pizza. They all finished their healthy sized portions (especially the pizza) and joked with the wait staff about the amount of Parmesan that our youngest had on his pasta. My wife had the Gnocchi con Nduja e Salsicca (which was so good! And she didn't finish and we brought some home) and I had the Margherita pizza with some of the Lamb Chops. The pizza was a little more doughy than we thought it would be, but it was unique and so flavourful! My eldest som even had a bite. The Lamb Chops smelled and tasted amazing, just the perfect amount of char grill on it. All the staff were friendly. The waitress working the desserts was prepping them right beside our table. That convinced us to get three desserts to share. We had the Gelati, the Belgium Apple Flan, and the After Dinner Mint. Our youngest licked the Mint dessert clean, loved it. The wafers in the Gelati may have had eggs so the allergy free folks in our group ate them. Everything was scrumptious. Great spot, great ambience, and really friendly staff. This place was steady, and it looked like there were a number of locals who frequent the spot. That doesn't surprise him because everything but the spirits was just excellent. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful night.
