We came here on recommendations from our friends who came to London last year from the states. They said it was their favorite restaurant during their visit, so much that they ended up here three times before they left. And just like that, after our first experience at Misto, we ended up coming back two more times too. That's how wonderful this little place is. Everything we tried was delicious and the service was charming too. We had their Pizza Margherita (light & easy to eat in ur own), Pizza Quattro Formaggi (you'll want to share, very filling), Linguine Spicy Gamberoni, Crab Ravioli, Bolgonese. Darling storefront in bustling area with many choices. Caught my eye as I saw a table with fab looking pizza and food. The lovely gal who greeted us said we could do take out. The menu is lovely however pre race we wanted pizzas. Well we got them and devoured them. So fresh , hot , tasty. Cooked perfecto. The Caprese salad was so good. The presentation and fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes, olives , basil and drizzle of oil and balsamic glaze was so good. The restaurant is charming and ambiance is lovely. Very nice, good presentation. Very quaint! Not really for larger groups, as it is small. Only had the pizza and calamari, but very good.

We got takeaway from here on a weeknight. The gnocchi special was amazing, as well as the garlic bread. The mixed vegetables were super flavorful and so fresh. Great location. read more

Delicious, homemade, good value, courteous service. A must for Italian food lovers when visiting London.

We came for a late lunch on a Wednesday and couldn't have been happier. In a stroke of luck, the two of us got a seat right at the window of this extremely romantic location. We could people watch in the little "Diagonal Alley" setting and enjoy an incredible meal. The place only can hold about 14 people on the ground floor and six outside. No idea how many upstairs as we didn't go up there. I went all in. I had the Ravioli stuffed with crab special. It had about four very crisp shrimp with it and the crab ravioli made me want to cry. Having a home in the Chesapeake bay, I eat a lot of crab. Kinda like Bubba Shrimp, I can list a LOT of crab meals. This should TOP the list of exceptionally tasting dishes. I stole the left over crust from my lunch date's pizza to go with it and was just in heaven. Definitely needed some sort of crispy bread with it, so do what you can if you are able. Since it was an Italian restaurant (and I had the day off!) I added a Negroni. Wow, it was EXACTLY how it should be prepped. Just a real memorable meal in our visit to London. Came in on a Monday cold January night and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. It was intimate, warm and welcoming, had amazing service and everything I had was fantastic. Per their recommendation, I went with the lasagna and it was incredible. The picture doesn't do it justice. Huge portion so hopefully you have someone to share it with. read more

I love love love Italian food. Especially the pasta and seafood. This restaurant has limited indoor seating, so I'd recommend booking in advance if you want to ensure you'll have a table. Otherwise, there is outdoor seating as well (if you don't mind the weather/cold). I've been to Italy before and I have to say that this experience is very similar, mostly because of the dishes they offer and the fact that I had to pay for my water (which is very common in europe). The ambience is super nice and the dish I got was great. The seafood pasta is a bit on the pricier side, but this restaurant definitely offers cheaper dishes as well! read more

We were walking in the rain trying to find a restaurant and came upon this restaurant. We had no reservations and the place was full but the staff were really trying to accommodate us. I had the lasagna and husband had the pasta with mushrooms and truffle cream. Both of us loved our dishes and really liked the tiramisu. I've traveled all over the world and this was one of the best Italian restaurant experiences I've ever had. Atmosphere/Design: Charming, elegant and intimate. It provided for a wonderful dining experience. For the reviewers who stated it was cramped, they assumably do not have an understanding of visiting a city like London. Everything is small. That is by no means a negative merit on this restaurant. The atmosphere and design of Misto is beyond perfection. Service: Attentive, polite, professional, knowledgeable, great appearance and well spoken. The service was at Misto was a primary reason I continued to dine here during my visit to London. Food: I will NEVER have a lasagna as delicious or memorable as the one I ate here. I would pay to fly to London for the day just to eat here. The food is absolutely magnificent. In my opinion...Misto is the best Italian restaurant in all of London. Possibly, even all of Western Europe. Cleanliness: White table cloth dining experience without the white table cloth. We came here after Buckingham Palace, it was great! I got Cannelloni with Pork and Mushrooms, which I'd been craving for a while, and it didn't disappoint. First day in London on this holiday and was looking for something simple (but good) to eat before turning in. Found this place (thanks Yelp reviewers) and picked it above the many other choices in the same area. Restaurant was cozy, but they were able to seat us quickly. Service had perfect timing (not too much, but right there when you needed them). The menu was solid and the dishes we ordered were really good (seafood risotto, braised lamb shank and a salmon with herb and lemon sauce). I did see another person order a pizza which looked great too. Prices were moderate (we went with a bottle of house white for 17 pounds). I would definitely recommend seeking this place out (maybe after a pint at one of the surrounding pubs). read more

Cute little Italian restaurant with 2 tables outside and 5 inside. Unfortunately the food isn't great. The chicken soup with vegetables was a purée that tasted like lentils with curry. The meatballs were pretty bland with a brownish marinara sauce. The pizza was very very dry with little sauce, less cheese and lifeless dough with no chew. The homemade ice cream was pretty good though. Why we went for Italian food in London is beyond me, but it was still a fun little spot. read more

Truely fantastic pizzas made from fresh home made dough. I've not had a pizza as good as that for years, true Italian pizza with a lovely thin base. The garlic bread is a must have. The chocolate ice cream was a very generous serving, very chocolatety indeed! Coffee was really good too. So much better than any 'chain' resturant. We're be going back for sure. read more
