Brilliant Italian food in an authentic atmosphere with spectacular service. The tomato salad had bright acidic flavors and a nice crispy topping. The bolognese had perfectly cooked pasta with a hearty sauce. All around great meal.

If you want a nice change from British fare, I would absolutely recommend this Italian place. Not only are the vibes immaculate but so is the menu! I had already tried their restaurant in Paris so I knew the food would be great. You can't go wrong with anything truffle from the menu! I had been dreaming about this truffle pasta for days! All the food was delicious!!!

For our last full day in London we sought out a spot that would be good for brunch and my girlfriend stumbled upon Gloria on one of the recommended lists. Gloria opened at 11AM and was a short walk away. We were the first customers of the day with our reservation at 11. Inside is super cute and the seating is comfy- the fabric does show some signs of wear when people have spilled things. Now the food, while not traditional brunch we were searching for, was phenomenal. The lemon and ricotta ravioli and the lemon tiramisu were so fresh and full of that lemon flavor you want when ordering a lemon dish. It's been a few weeks since we visited, but I've thought about this meal almost every day since and wish we had this spot back home. Sometimes the things you aren't expecting turn out to be pretty great and this rang true at Gloria!

I'll never forget how good the pasta was! The spring giardino salad was also one of the best salads I've ever had. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and service was great. I wish we could have had one of their desserts (esp that massive piece of pie they serve) but we were so full from the pasta. It was pricey but totally worth it, I can't wait to go back when I visit London again.

Wow! What a vibe!! This place was so fun inside. It was super romantic and elevated. The ambiance was impeccable for a night out in London. The food was delicious. The menu changes every month but i have a feeling you'll get lucky no matter what month you go there. Had the Cacio e Pepe con scampi and it was so creamy so peppery it was delicious. Their brick oven pizza has a massive crust which is so doughy and just so good!!! Totally impressed

Definitely need to make reservations! I'm giving 3.5-4 stars for the great service and accommodation. We were really late for our reservation but they were still able to accommodate us despite being super busy since they are a popular restaurant. Upon seating the waiter explained the menu and gave us his recommendations. We ordered some drinks and appetizers. I love truffle so anything that has truffle appeals me. We ordered: - Empanadas - Honey I truffled the crochetta - Truffle pizza & added prosciutto - Bolognese - Truffle spaghetti (this is 2 servings so you have to share with someone) - Tiramisu I loved the truffle crochetta. Full of flavor. Empanadas were great. I was kinda disappointed in the pizza and spaghetti. I'm a saucy girly and I would have liked the spaghetti to be saucier and more flavorful. It was a bit bland. Pizza was also lacking some flavor. Tiramisu was fantastic and a must if ur a tiramisu lover. We each ordered 2 drinks and bill came out to about 200 GBP for the 3 of us. Overall I enjoyed the apps and dessert more than the entree. I'm glad I got to try out this place but it's not worth coming back for.

First time I've been to Gloria's. The food was great and the portions were fantastic. Great atmosphere and the service was amazing. Next time I'm in London I'll definitely revisit Gloria's for dinner.

Great presentation and decent food. From the green walls to Cacio e Pepe demonstration in a big wheel of cheese, this place has plenty of grammable visual attractions. You might say gimmicky, I guess that depends on your taste. The service is great - fast and friendly. The food is good. Not mind blowing but good. Burrata was served in chilli olive oil with pesto on top. No salt on burrata itself, which I found a bit lacking in seasoning. Basil pesto pasta was ok. It was very salty. I tasted salt but not much of basil, pine nuts or Parmesan. Tiramisu was great, though. No gimmick there. Classic recipe, just very nicely executed.

Honestly the best meal we had during our trip. So good we came home and tried to recreate the dessert. In full transparency we went because it was listed on a website for best brunch spots and made assumptions it would have "brunch food" which it does not, but do not be deterred. Run, don't walk because everything here was wonderful from the service to the atmosphere to the food. I can't say enough good things, besides asking when I can go back!

It's more of a 3.5. Our pasta was undercooked and our server tried to tell us that it was hard because the pasta was fresh? It didn't really make sense because some of the pieces were softer than the others. He did comp the pasta though, and everything else was delicious. The Brooklyn sour was probably one of the best drinks I've had.

Love love love!!! 10/10 must go! Absolutely terrific Italian food, dessert was amazing too, & service was top notch! My fiancé and I celebrate our engagement here and it was absolutely one of the most memorable dinners, loved this gem in the shoreditch area!

It's also basically on my street and one of the few sit downs open on weekends! However, each of my visits yielded a variable experience, meaning the quality consistency is lacking which means I wouldn't recommend it to a good friend. Not a good thing when it comes to lesser known restaurants. My first time, I was drawn in by the golden lights radiating from the bar and the warehouse lighting which looks almost chic when paired with the exposed brick and glass embellishments. Although my boss and I were the only ones here, the staff paid little to no attention to us - no greeting or any mind paid to us until we physically walked over the bar, distracting the group chatting away in their huddle. The wine was on the pricier side. The second time I came, the place was brimming with city brokers having Thirsty Thursday. The prosecco was decent and we had a nice time. Until we got the bill for the 3 shots of tequila we had which totalled £48. So that's over 15 pounds for each shot...when we queried the bill, the staff explained that the quality of the tequila he poured us explained the cost, exasperated with our stupidity. We said we were not going to pay for that just because when asked what kind, we had probably said "whatever" or "doesn't matter". Doesn't that usually mean house stuff? The third time I had post-birthday party brunch here where I opted for the Italian breakfast which means eggs, soppresetta, sour dough with pate?, tomato, and tuscan sausage. My tastebuds were (to be fair) taking a beating due to the hangover but it was just mediocre at best. Plus the stuff on the sour dough was strange and unpleasant. Canto and I are neighbours and I don't give up on my neighbours.

So a big shout out to the old man (if indeed he has anything at all to do with the place) for continuing to do the simple things really well and not charge the earth for it. My mushroom soup bucks the trend by steadfastly refusing to be the creamy, comfy clagged up version but instead a thin but powerful broth choc full of a variety of dried mushroom and the added bonus of small pieces of ham. It's a rustic affair, bravely done and all the better for it. A refusal to fall into the prissy traps. Arancini and a side of roast new potatoes for my nibblish mood don't disappoint either. The arancini's crispy shell giving way to unctuous insides and the potatoes perfectly crunchy and salty and rosemar-y. Again, simple stuff done very well. The arancini and the potatoes came to about £8. I'd rate that a bargain. Carluccio's wherever you go always feels bright and airy and modern. This one has the added advantage of being on Spittalfields so you can watch the groovy wordbenders whizz by on their hover boards and scooters playing spot the person without funky facial hair. Atmosphere's a bit cosier. The menu has changed somewhat, I tried the duck pappardelle labelled "new". As expected it was very decent, generous portion, but not mind-blowing. I had the sourdough w olive oil to start -- not a bad choice to whet the appetite, but the real move was to use it to mop up some of the sauce after finishing the pasta :) For my main I ordered the pappardelle with beef shin ragu -- so delicious. The pasta had a wonderful texture, perfectly chewy al dente, and the ragu sauce was rich and savoury without being too oily or heavy. I really liked how the flat pasta and the sourdough bread were able to carry the beef flavour so well. Price point was reasonable (and portion size ended up being quite large!).
