At the side of the restaurant where you order, they have some pantry items, beers, cheese on sale as well. We tried their breakfast sandwich, baked French toast, mint chocolate cruffin, and chai. Would recommend the breakfast sandwich and French toast. The French toast was soft, fluffy, not too sweet, with roasted pear on top, perfection! We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning and the place was pretty packed! Even with the line wrapped around the store area, it went quickly and the employees were very friendly and apologized for the wait time. While waiting to order our food and drinks, we were able to purchase some of their fresh baked bread and baked goods - the Oreo cupcake we got was to die for! Once we ordered, we were given a number and told to find a seat and in less than 10 minutes, our food was already coming out. While it was a little bit pricey for brunch, it was worth every penny! We tried the breakfast sandwich and avocado toast and both were so delicious and beyond what you'd expect, loaded with greens and vegetables to take the typical breakfast foods up a notch. Prices are reasonable and they have a nice selection for charcuterie, beer, and wine. It's set up very nicely and it's jam packed with jams, olives, canned seafood, and little oddities perfect for snacks and entertaining. Mediterra does a lot right. For one, we love taking out-of-town friends here. It is designed so well, from the bakery items to look at to the cute floor tiles, to the bar. They have lots of products to browse while you wait to order (on a busy day this can take up to 25 min). Their food is always delicious. I almost never know every ingredient in their food items, but am confident I know I will like it. And all of their bakery items look delicious. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu, enough options to satisfy many different palates. The coffee/ tea menu is always quality and they have fun seasonal drinks. Whether you get takeout or eat in - this place is awesome! Staff is friendly and food is delicious and drinks are soooo good. We went with friends and sat in their outdoor area which was so beautiful and fun it was a perfect night to eat outside! When you get here go to the market place side and order your food and drinks (and any treats you want from the market) and pay on that side then sit wherever you like. They have a dinner menu you can select from in the evening. I love the small plates concept - we were able to try a nice variety of dishes - the only problem was the table was too small to hold all the plates we got :-) some of my favorites - the grilled octopus which was so tender flavorful and the whole table agreed the risotto was the star. The kid at another table got the last pepperoni pizza (which he barely ate which totally infuriated us) but the mushroom was pretty good. My drink (I can't remember what it was called) but i think it was a brown butter bourbon old fashioned - whatever it was called you must get it! I'd say the menu items at Mediterra are a luxury, meaning I can't come here very single weekend because my bank account will be really unhappy with me. That does not mean that their items aren't worth the cost by any means. Quite frankly, if I'm going to splurge, I want to come here to do it! This location is larger than the one in Sewickley, and they have a large seating area where you can do work or have lunch with small groups. I've come on weekdays only, and both times there were a good amount of people, but plenty of open tables. Now, I won't even DARE venture here on a weekend unless it's bright and early. I know how packed this place can get. My first time here, I ordered a thin mint mocha, and this time around I went big and ordered the carrot cake bunny latte. I mean it was a latte inside of an entire Sarris chocolate bunny with a chocolate covered strawberry on the side. What more can you ask for? Yes it was pricey, but honestly I'm surprised it wasn't more than $22. Sarris bunnies alone are about $20, but this one was filled with a delicious latte! You bet I'll be coming back! read more

This is award winning food. Gluten-free heaven for me! I had the tuna melt on GF focaccia bread, it was SO delicious I had to reconfirm that it was GF. The tuna was exceptionally mouth watering. This honestly has to be the best new restaurant opening for me selfishly in the past few years, hands down. Why is that? Because it's blocks from my house and I can walk there whenever I have a craving (and it's not freezing, then I'll drive!) AND they have tons of gluten free options available!!!! One of the owners has celiac disease, which is what I have as well. It's a curse no one wants, but thankful for those who take the time to prepare correctly and safely delicious food and other offerings (and by other offerings I mean desserts!!!). Can you tell by all the exclamation points how excited I am about this spot? I have worked my way through the majority of the sandwiches, which is a treat to have in itself because obviously bread is a hard one to find gluten free. They get their bread from local gluten free bakery Gluten Free Goat and it's delicious! Their sandwiches are equally as tasty and I have not been disappointed with any of them. My favorite has got to be the turkey sandwich, it's just loaded with all the good stuff and a creamy pesto mayo I die for. Like I said, they also have gluten free desserts made from other vendors around the area like Gluten Free Goat and Gluten Free by Kassiani. I am WAITING for the right time to indulge in those, but I will! They also have a full coffee bar, which I've had a delightful oat milk London Fog from and VERY excited to enjoy their real bar at some point. The cocktails and wine list look amazing. Honestly, I haven't been comfortable dining indoors since COVID started, but I'm really looking forward to eating here when I feel safe enough. Was so excited to try this new spot! Everything is so fresh, neat and new! The decor down to the plates and mugs are stunning! There is no server, so head to a table first to check out a paper menu or go right ahead an order and you will be given a number for your food to be delivered. As for vegan options, sadly not ONE of the hundred looking pastries are vegan friendly. She did tell me she has some gluten free - womp womp. I was a little sad because with the amount of skill and talent going into the beautiful looking pastries, is it that hard to add like one? But, maybe they just aren't out to please the vegans hah, I get it! Luckily they do offer oat milk. I had a lovely London Fog latte - it was very delicious! The woman working while ordering was unsure of the porridge was vegan friendly. So, to play it safe I went with the avocado toast, no egg or bacon added. It was also very tasty with the radish and tomato additions. My son had the kid's waffle. It looked great! He still is learning to talk so he didn't tell me if he enjoyed it or not. I noticed this location was pretty busy with long lines though they moved pretty quickly. I could tell this is a popular spot. Ordering was easy and outdoor seating was plentiful. There is usually a line when you go to order, but it gives you a great chance to look through all the goodies that they sell in their shop. Mediterra's newest café location continues to excel in quality food and great service. Their newest location, which formerly housed Block 292 and Fairlane, has expanded into both a grocery, dine in, and take out facility. They have very limited parking in front of the building but metered street parking is along Beverly Road and there is a pay lot in the next block up the hill. Wi Fi is available. Passcode given upon request. You can either order online for pickup and have it ready or in my case just come in and be prepared to wait in line. While I was waiting my turn I noticed they have some of the finest foods I've seen and of course some of it can be pricey. There is a grab and go refrigerator off to one side and the bakery. They do have some of their freshly prepared artisan loaves including my personal favorite pecan cranberry for purchases. Also their delicious baked goods are available. For those who are gluten free I noticed they have baked goods from gluten free goat bakery (now located in Adda Bazaar in Garfield) as well as other bakers. Soergel's in Wexford is featured among their products. When my turn came to order I went with their soup of the day- lentil, chickpea beet tops in turkey broth and their grilled eggplant sandwich. I was given a number and told to sit anywhere. As I passed the bar area I saw it was set up for takeout only. No seating is permitted there. All the tables were set up to encourage social distancing and masks are required except when eating. I got my food in a reasonable amount of time. The soup came with two French baguette slices and was so good!! I was overwhelmed at the generous size of my eggplant sandwich but savored every bite of it. Breakfast is also served here until 1 pm and they carry the same items as their sister café over in Sewickley. After I was done I was glad to see the place had cleared out from the lunchtime crowd. It gave me an opportunity to look at their groceries. The chocolate candies looked inviting so inquired as to where they came from. I was told they came from various vendors. I was also thrilled with the fact that they carry regular and bourbon flavored maple syrup from Paul's family farms. Paul's family farms has been my syrup go to place at the farmer's markets and now that that season is over I was happy to purchase a pint of it for home use. Cards are accepted for purchase as well as cash. Mediterra is a welcome addition to the Mt Lebanon neighborhood and I hope to return there as the occasion arises. Mediterra does it again, so I'll keep this short (ish). I've been impressed with Mediterra since their bake house, where we would always get bread for family dinners. The Lebo location is a perfect addition to the South Hills, and even better because I recently moved about 10 minutes away! This location is significantly larger, has a bar, and has dedicated parking. I've been two times so far, once for a post work cocktail, and another time for brunch. Both times were great, and and it seems that the menu has already changed since I've been in to address this, but one thing I wish there were more unique beer and wine offerings. Perhaps featuring more local breweries on tap and wine options that can't be purchased in the state store. A few places I could see an interesting partnership with are SPiLL the Wine Bar (Bloomfield) or Dreadnought Wines (Lawrenceville). Looking forward to my next trip, hopefully when the tapas menu is available. read more

A great popular spot for brunch! I've been to the Sewickley location before and was impressed this location was much bigger and had more seating and a full bar. I ordered the Milk Bread French Toast and it was delicious! The dish came with 2 thick pieces of toast that were soaked in milk and butter and toasted to be slightly crispy on the outside. On top were fresh apple chunks with cinnamon and a few cranberries, along with homemade whipped cream and warm maple syrup. All the flavors blended nicely and balanced so each bite wasn't too sweet. I was full after my meal too. The staff was great and efficient too, especially with how busy they were on a Sunday morning. Our dishes came out to our table within 10mins and someone came to clean up our dishes when we finished almost immediately, but they didn't pressure us to leave.
