Don't bother driving there, nothing they have on the website is in stock. May as well just go to…read morethe company's website and order from them. He said to "drive to Bellingham to try it" . Would not recommend.

Bought a bike today for my goddaughter. I was on a mission to get it done today as I needed to…read moretrek all the way from Vancouver, under a tight work schedule. First stop was Trek Bicycle on Westwood Street. No stocks available, and they seemed too busy to answer questions. Hmm...that kinda layback and hipster attitude seemed far too familiar as I'm in the coffee business for 20+ years. Then we rushed over to Kinetik Cycles. Sales person seemed way too passive, and when we were shown a couple choices (my goddaughter needs a small or an extra-small frame), not much help was given about the seat height adjustments. I understand that the Kona we first tried was built a certain way where the seat stem was way too long for a small frame. The minimum seat height was so tall that it defeated the purpose of calling it "size small". We asked how we could make it possible to accommodate the height so my goddaughter could do a proper test ride. (Of course I know of a solution...just find a shorter seat stem and substitute it for a few minutes worth of test ride)...Nothing from the sales person, just a shrug of the shoulders, and followed by "if you buy the bike, we will saw the seat stem short for you". The more senior looking person behind the counter didn't offer any help as well. So basically it's like take it (for a spin) or leave it situation. I was seriously not impressed but as I mentioned earlier, I was on a mission to get a bike today. We've finally decided on a Devinci. Next, I asked about bike lock choices, and I forgot the brand I've recently bought (ARBUS...I later recalled). So I described the lock as metal plates folded together kinda lock. The sales rep said they do not carry such style, except u-shapes, and chains. As I proceeded to pay for the bicycle, helmet, and gloves I realized the ARBUS locks were just stacked in boxes, right next to the other locks. So after this long story, I guess one can comprehend how lay back and unenthusiastic the service was. And I'm about to make a point here...Kinetik Cycles, you've dropped the ball. I could have bought the second bicycle for myself on the same visit, but I've made up my mind to make that purchase somewhere else on my way back to Vancouver the same day. Please refer to the enclosed receipts...one purchase from Kinetik Cycle (which I reluctantly went through due to a tight time window), one purchase from Rad Cycle on Fraser and Broadway (very pleasant experience from real people working, and providing real service and advise at a greasy and not very rich looking shop). Not going back for more hipster attitude.

Two weeks after I bought my bike the pedal started sticking so I brought it back, they changed it for me without charging me. It's not a super big store but they have a good selection of helmets and other accessories. Bikes do go fast these days in the time of covid though which is why when I found the size/color and brand (specialized) I wanted I bought it right away. I'll be back when my bike needs to be serviced or I need any accessories......

We have barely a clue on what to go with and certainly required advice for the right bike. While their supply was limited, he was able to recommend a bike that fit our daughter perfectly. He allowed our daughter to give the bike a test in the parking lot and didn't rush any decision. In fact, another employee did a quick tweak to the bike and let my daughter go for another spin to see if it made the use of the gears any easier. We also learned that they have a buy back / trade in program for children's bikes since the kiddos tend to outgrow their bikes quite quickly. I recommend anyone in the area to include this place when seeking out a bike. I bought my previous bike from them about 10yrs ago and remember the same high level of service and support.

I was worried that there wouldn't be enough time to get to their remote location with my new secondhand craigslist bike in Burnaby after working my dental shift here on Hastings (also in Burnaby). So I brought my bike to work, chaining it up best I can on the street as a proper lock was one of the many things I hoped to purchase. So as soon as I can I huffed and puffed me and my bike east on Hastings, sadly arriving minutes before their 6pm closing time and literally just as they were closing the door. :( The sales person had somewhere they needed to be so all I could do is put my bike inside stating my needs and offering to come again the following day asap after work. Anyhow the next day came and finished so I hoped a bus and arrived at 5:30pm only to wait and wait and wait and wait. Yes they were busy but it seems only the overly aggressive wait on me people get first attention - how about a numbering system? So suddenly 6pm is again fast approaching along with my frustration level. One of the two people briefly help me with a new helmet, kickstand, lock and light accessories. My bill for the above came to over $160 and I am left disappointed. I would not recommend this place. Even making the effort ahead of time with my unique timing restraints did not make this an easier pleasant experience and having me wait so long with a two time visit?
