I am EXTREMELY impressed with Meca Tree Service (and I'm very picky). A huge rain stormed moved across Chicago on Sunday around 3pm, breaking 2 large branches of a huge oak tree in my backyard, the branches were so large they covered half of my large backyard. I emailed Meca via Yelp around 4pm and by 6pm a Meca employee and his son showed up to access the damage. Promising they would return the next morning at 7am to remove the fallen branches, at a very reasonable price. As promised, Meca returned the next morning with 5-6 men (and one very handsome tree climber), removed everything and cleaned the yard before leaving. Bravo!! read more

Maca tree service trimmed a large maple tree in my yard, they dug out a stump from an old juniper bush, they trimmed a front juniper bush, and trimmed side hedges that were quite tall. The service was excellent and the crew was polite and knowledgeable. Manny (Meca) led the team and told them exactly where to cut the larger branches on the tree so that the tree ended up looking like a tree and not a stump. It looks wonderful now and there are no branches hitting any of my electric lines, hitting my house, or hitting my neighbors and my garage. I was very pleased with all the work they did. I was especially pleased that none of the six apple trees in my yard were damaged in any way, shape or form. I was also very pleased with the price that I paid. Meca did some trimming on three of my trees in my backyard. They provided a reasonable estimate for the work. They were on time the day of the trimming. About 15 workers arrived in multiple trucks. They split up into three teams and each took tree. They were extremely coordinated and speedy fast. Within 45 minutes, they were cleaning up and packing up to leave. Responded to request within minutes, kept communications throughout the whole process. The estimate was more than reasonable, scheduling seamless. Showed up on time, actually a bit even earlier. The whole process lasted about 2-3 hours. There were more guys here than I could reliably count, 7-8 for sure. Very efficient, careful and a pleasant overall experience. They left the place cleaner than it was before. Great price and great service. Meca is my man. I just bought a house and my backyard is lined with trees and shrubs that we needed removal for our fence to be installed. Took one day to schedule estimate and he came the next day. He informed me of some dead/dying trees and so we went ahead and removed those too. The day of removal his crew came on time and worked quickly and efficiently. No mess was left behind! He also asked if I wanted to keep one of the trees because it was an expensive one which I thought was so considerate. The service I had used for over 10 years went out of business. Based on the Yelp reviews I called Meca. As advertised I got a call back within 10 minutes and had the owner and his son stop by within a couple of hours to give me a quote. It was within $50. Of what I had estimated based on previous work done. That was on a Friday. They were back the following Tuesday to do the work. They got all the tree and bush trimming done within an hour ( the team had 5 workers plus the owner). They did a great job of trimming and balancing out the limbs. When they finished cleaning up, you could not tell they were there. They did a fabulous job and I highly recommend them. read more

Removed a large Blue Spruce tree and stump today. Couldn't be happier with their service! The whole crew was wonderful, Mike, Manuel, and Adrianna(office). Because of rain and lightening they had to reschedule a couple days later and were promp and on time. The even trimmed a Crab tree at no additional charge. They were less expensive than an estimate we got from another company that we had used for another tree a few years ago. I was going to go with a competitor then decided to call Meca for a second quote. Their quote was much more reasonable for taking down 5-7 medium-sized branches, and I liked that they didn't use lifts but rather climbed (a better/safer option for our small yard).
