He called me back and made arrangements to review the job for a quote which was a mulberry tree that grew to a 20ft+ monster that was growing into the neighbors yard. While reviewing the job request/site survey he also looked around the yard and asked questions about another tree that really needed removal, as well. We agreed to the project and he gave me a quote and a time frame when he could do the job which was a few weeks out. I appreciated the honesty of his schedule because he wasn't over promising and under delivering. HUGE PLUS. Giovanni confirmed the job 2 days in advance and showed up on time and got to work. He and his team were tidy and they worked quickly and thoroughly. All branches and debris was picked up and vacuumed. I had a massive tree that was dying that needed to come down. After getting ghosted by a company I'd used before for other tree services, I decided to get a quote from others, including Giovanni's. Their quote was very competitive and responsive so I went with them. Could not be happier with the service and care provided, and the crew was very friendly too. I called Giovanni after another tree service stood me up multiple times. He is professional, talented and a man of his word. I bought a house which flooded a couple of times due to tree roots in the sewers. Giovanni showed up on time as promised and removed a tree from my backyard for preventive maintenance. I just moved into a house and one of the trees in the backyard was growing into the power lines. I contacted 3 tree service companies. I originally went with another place but they kept having to reschedule, which is fine when there are storms or whatever. But my job kept getting bumped and it was getting annoying. I'm sure many people are more patient than me. So I cancelled my work order with them. I contacted Giovanni and after a brief phone conversation he came by to take a look at the work, provided a super reasonable quote and made arrangements to email me his proof of insurance. Got the proof of insurance and scheduled the job. He had to reschedule once for weather, but got rescheduled for the following week. He and his coworker came out and got the job done. They did a great job, worked clean (I didn't have to tidy up afterward), and it was the lowest quote I got. Another firm I got a quote from wanted $50 to make the phone call to ComEd to shut down the service line. That's lame and it's something to be avoided b/c you can do this on your own for free. Btw, Giovanni didn't need the service line shut down, which was great b/c I work from home. read more

Would give 6 stars if I could. Had a very challenging tree stump that a previous tree service struggled to cut down. It was wedged in the corner of our yard between our neighbors fence and our garage. Giovanni's Tree Service was able to grind it down to ground level without damaging the surrounding area. Giovanni had scheduled me for Sunday, 9/1/2013, a week prior to the big storm. Of course everyone and his brother wanted their tree branches cleaned up immediately, after the storm. Giovanni was tired at the end of the day and STILL kept his word to be here. We had a small tree in our back yard that was butchered up by a utility company, and needed to be removed. The utility group also made a mess of our yard leaving all the branches they removed everywhere. Giovanni's team came out promptly to give us a quote, and the price was very good compared to a few others we had quote it as well. They helped us clear out all the extraneous trees surrounding our home -- from a giant pine, to parts of a large maple that was destructing our roof and interfering with cable lines, and cleared up some messy trees and brush that were overgrowing in our backyard. Excellent service show up on time always called the day before due to any weather issues that would postpone the job. Once they started they work straight through a full day of work taking down two trees and removing four stumps. Trees were close to house and over hung the roof. They were very careful not to cause any damage. Had other trees removed by another tree service wish I had them for those trees. Will use them again for a couple more trees that I plan to remove.
