Edgar and his crew successfully, safely, and professionally removed a "Tree of Heaven" located in an extremely challenging location, all in one day! The tree was nearly three stories high, wedged in the easement between my neighbor's iron fence and my own iron fence. After receiving evaluations from several tree services, some who said they would be unable to do it without cranes, major alley disruption, or a guarantee of the results, we found Edgar at Chicago Tree Service Professionals. He evaluated the health of the tree (poor/dying), the location (challenging but not impossible), and described in detail the process they would follow. I needed to cut @ 200 years old huge Elm what just got a virus and died on me and 2 big Pines in the back of my house! I have to say, my experience with these guys was great. Edgar and I corresponded over email and phone for pricing and prior to them completing the work I needed done. He was polite, professional and quick to respond to my inquires. When the price came in, he beat the other prices I received and provided me proof of insurance. When the day came for him to do the work, he was on time and had the work done lickety-split. I wasn't home when they were working (my dad met them for me) but I came home to a newly cleared, clean lot with well ground tree stumps and everything complete exactly as I had asked. I contacted Edgar in early May about removing a dead 30ft tall Ash tree and apple tree. I put the project off for few months but finally hired Edgar & co today. Their price is extremely reasonable and they do great work. We were a little concerned about the crew hitting power lines, but that wasn't an issue for them. The crew was very professional and clean. What can I say, all his reviews are 5 stars for a reason. If you need a tree removed Edgar is the guy to call. We had a 40 foot tree, in the yard, that was infected with ash beetle. It was dieing and we had to get rid of it. We called 3 different tree service companies and Edgar was the last to quote. He came in 2k under the lowest quote we had. They removed the tree in one day and removed another tree (about 10 feet) for free. They also removed the back fence which was rickety and when he replaced it, his crew put in new posts and fixed the fence as a part of there service. He is honest, straightforward and trustworthy. His team worked there tails off in 90 degree heat and cleaned up after they were done. Edgar even followed up with us to make sure we were completely satisfied. When you find trade professionals like this you wish that he did other work than just trees, because they are so rare. Amazing. We had more than 15 trees on a small Chicago lot to remove. Edgar and his crew did an incredible job. They were meticulous, put up barriers so the neighbor's property wouldn't be disturbed and even went up on the neighbor's garage roof to blow off some debris that had drifted up there. Six months later as we were having the landscaping done we noticed some of one of the stumps still left and called Edgar. He had someone come out the next day and not only took care of the one we noticed, but also suggested grinding down another area. Best of all, his prices were VERY reasonable.
