There's a weed tree growing in the alley behind our house and one or two of the larger limbs was threatening to take down the Com-ed lines to our house. Com-ed told me they were only responsible for the wires from pole to pole. The wire to our house was my problem. Arborgreen had already removed a whole tree from our back yard years ago and they were great, so I called them again. They came out two days later, removed all the limbs that were in the way, cleaned up afterwards, and they were once again great. And reasonably priced too. I needed two trees removed after the recent wind storm we had in Chicago. One had fallen over onto my neighbor's garage. The arborist who came for the consult instantly knew the type of tree we had (Silver Maple) and its age (150+ years). I am a return customer for arbor Green Tree Service. We used them last year to remove a huge old silver maple that was threatening to cause damage due to rot. This year we asked them to thin another really big maple. They got the job done 2 days after I accepted their quote. I was really surprised and pleased that they're prompt response. They did a fantastic job. It took a few hours . They used three men and made the tree look young again! A lot of the branches from this tree were above part of our garden that has a lot of expensive plantings and small trees. They were very careful and the cutter, working from a basket at the end of a big crane was amazing in how he guided all the cut pieces so that they did not land in the area below him. We had a variety of volunteer trees in the backyard that have grown over the course of a few years. We needed to get them removed. My partner contacted them and they arranged to send out one of the arborist the next day to give an estimate and schedule the work. An arborist became available that day, however, so Leo got back in touch the day of the initial call to have someone come out that afternoon. Estimate was good, so the work was scheduled for eight days hence. They came yesterday and were so quick. In fact, they came right into the backyard before we realized they were here and started doing the work as soon as the scope was confirmed. It blue criticism is they left some wood chip debris from offloading the truck and should have been swept up, but this was really minor in the overall picture. I hate calling a business to get no answer. I am truly upset if people are late and don't keep appointments. When I called Arborgreen not only did a very pleasant and charming girl, Yami, pick up on the fourth ring, she quickly found out what I needed and introduced me to the President and owner, Leo. Leo, a very soft spoken gentleman promised to come over in 30 minutes. He was there in 25. He surveyed the site and phoned in a estimate. A contract was emailed within 24 hours. With the price he quoted, we did not need much prodding to sign. Work began on the promised date with a very safe and competent crew, and some truly impressive equipment. The best and heaviest I have seen. 8 hours later 1 humungous tree which was leaning precariously over the property, and four smaller trees were chopped down, chewed up and gone. The roof, landscaping and gutters were blown clean and all over hanging branches trimmed. Arborgreen has active Workmen's Compensation and Liability Insurance. I called their Insurance carrier to confirm. That's added peace of mind because this is very dangerous work. I couldn't be happier with the superlative job done, the excellent price and the professional clean up. I would highly recommend Arborgreen for any tree cutting service you may have! Arborgreen is by far the best tree service out there! The guy's had come out to remove the tree the very next day after looking at it. Since Arborgreen has an outstanding reputation and own their own crane they absolutely had been my choice for the job. I was worried about the removal of the tree because there was many large limbs over my roof and the neighbors roof and in order to do this safely and carefully using a crane was the best option.
