I hate calling a business to get no answer. I am truly upset if people are late and don't keep appointments. When I called Arborgreen not only did a very pleasant and charming girl, Yami, pick up on the fourth ring, she quickly found out what I needed and introduced me to the President and owner, Leo. Leo, a very soft spoken gentleman promised to come over in 30 minutes. He was there in 25. He surveyed the site and phoned in a estimate. A contract was emailed within 24 hours. With the price he quoted, we did not need much prodding to sign. Work began on the promised date with a very safe and competent crew, and some truly impressive equipment. The best and heaviest I have seen. 8 hours later 1 humungous tree which was leaning precariously over the property, and four smaller trees were chopped down, chewed up and gone. The roof, landscaping and gutters were blown clean and all over hanging branches trimmed. Arborgreen has active Workmen's Compensation and Liability Insurance. I called their Insurance carrier to confirm. That's added peace of mind because this is very dangerous work. I couldn't be happier with the superlative job done, the excellent price and the professional clean up. I would highly recommend Arborgreen for any tree cutting service you may have! Arborgreen is by far the best tree service out there! The guy's had come out to remove the tree the very next day after looking at it. Since Arborgreen has an outstanding reputation and own their own crane they absolutely had been my choice for the job. I was worried about the removal of the tree because there was many large limbs over my roof and the neighbors roof and in order to do this safely and carefully using a crane was the best option. I've used Arborgreen a couple times for tree trimming. The first time was quick, efficient and reasonable. The second time was a disaster. They came to remove a dead trunk and trim around a power line. So far so good. Then they also surprised me by removing a bunch of healthy branches lower down on a the live trunk. Branches that I was in the process of training. Branches that were still tied with twine and staked out to keep them horizontal. The guys just cut the twine, and then cut the branches. read more

About 20 minutes after my husband called Leo, he was here to assess the splitting and creaking linden tree that was threatening to fall on our or our neighbors house. It took another 20 minutes to get his crew, two cranes, and a chipper shredder to our house. And about 90 minutes later, the tree was cut down (we could see splits all the way through the trunk and a base that had rotted out!), the crew cleaned up the street and sidewalk, and they took off just as it became too dark to work. This place has great prices. The reason I think they're busy and things like that is because their prices are good. A lot of places will charge you $1,000 $2,000 or so. This place has really good prices under $1,000. But you do have to call them a couple of times. They'll come and they'll do a great job. You basically just need to remind them maybe a couple of times. And then you know I'm sure because they were swamped with business that they probably couldn't get to the yard. So you know once they got there they did a good job of getting rid of the vast majority of everything. But you know if you're looking for some company that has good prices they'll do it. It all starts with the owner, Leo, who is an absolutely joy to work with. Not only is Leo extremely professional and proficient at what he does, but he also deeply LOVES what he does. He cares about your property, your yard, and your landscaping. If he feels that removing a tree might not be your best choice, he will tell you. His primary focus is the wellbeing of your trees and property, more so than how much money he can make off of you. In terms of my experience, I had a large, mature, black walnut tree in my front yard that I wanted removed. It was a challenging project due to a couple of honey locust trees in the parkway area in front of my property, as well as the closeness of the tree to my front porch and house. The Arborgreen Tree Service team was brilliant in carefully positioning their equipment on my property, and making sure they were very careful to not allow any tree debris to damage the bushes and other landscaping in the area. Good communications between them and me as they were trimming my 7 oak trees and same earlier in the year as they trimmed a maple and a couple of elms. Leo and his team came early for their morning appointment (on a cloudy 55-degree May weather) ....that's great in our book. We were pleasantly surprised they were able to maneuver through a tight driveway and in between our neighbor's fence and our property to get to the Mulberry tree to remove it, chipped and hauled away. In addition there was a stump next to the garage and a Buckthorn by the back fence that were agreed to be removed. However, per Leo when they arrived at the location, they found it necessary to cut the fence to remove the Buckthorn and generously offered to cut the fence and replace on their dime to satisfy the agreement. That was simply music to our ears to hear such news. We recognize superior customer service and business sense from Leo and Arborgreen Tree Service and will not hesitate to highly recommend them for the North Shore Area.
