Just had Leo Mendoza and crew do a wonderful job on 5 trees. Both removing and trimming a huge show tree in our backyard (horse chestnut). They were skilled professional and a delight to work with as well as being professional. Plus they were reasonable in cost! I would recommend them highly. read more

Arborgreen Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Evanston, Illinois

We had a damaged tree in our backyard that was threatening to fall onto our neighbor's house. I called Leo who was able to come within the hour to look at it. His team arrived - as promised - within the next 2 hours to take down the tree. Fantastic service. Great price. I wouldn't go anyplace else for tree service. Follow up in October 2018 I needed more trees cut down, so of course, called them. And just like last year, they had 2 trees down within the hour. Excellent service and great price. Seriously, don't call anyone else. read more

I am a previous customer of Arborgreen, and was satisfied enough to call them back to remove a second stump. I called on three different days in a row to get an estimate. They did not arrive as promised on all three days scheduled. Really disappointed that they never called me back to say they would not be able to make it. I have tree waiting to go in, so time mattered. Discourteous. read more

I had a huge branch of a tree fall in my back yard and take my electric power line down. I called, they came in ten minutes and cleared it out within a couple hours. They came back the next day and removed the 4 story tall tree. They were prompt, professional and fairly reasonable in price. read more

In the midst of new announcements of COVID-19 and the need to quarantine in March, this team shows up outside for our neighbors with proper gear and little notice on a Sunday to take down a huge tree that had rotted from the inside and was swaying dangerously in the high winds toward our house, their house and parked cars. Arborgreen was so organized and professional! I haven't seen a seamless team work together like that so efficiently and effectively in some time. Truly impressive watching the whole operation. 5 stars! Highly recommend. read more

Could not be more pleased with Leo and his team at Arborgreen! Took out several trees - some huge, some small- Not only were they prompt, thorough and professional, they had the most reasonable rates. They will be our first phone call as we continue to groom our yard. read more

I used arborgreen after a recommendation from my mother in law. I had 3 other quotes and their quote was reasonable and based on the recommendation and other reviews I thought I would give it a shot. They removed a massive tree on the side of my house and did a great job. Also did some tree trimming on a tree above my garage. Leo, the arborist, was also great. I am glad that I used arborgreen and would definitely recommend to family and friends. read more

My experience with Leo and the team at Arbor Green was excellent. Our condo association was planning the removal of a giant mulberry tree for almost 2 years. We received many bids on the job, but Arbor Greens was the best. They were prompt in scheduling the removal and courteous to our neighbors and tenants with their machinery. They removed the tree, grinded the stump and cleaned up after they left. Leo and his team are professional and efficient, and I would recommend them anyone. read more

I would give five+ stars if it were possible. My mother-in-law had two really big trees in her backyard that had to be removed. These trees were precariously located between her home and the neighbor's, one tree was dead and had already started to lean over the neighbor's deck. I got six quotes to cut the trees down to stump level and remove them. Leo beat the most expensive quote by more than a $1000. Throughout the whole process Leo and his crew were responsive, courteous and extremely professional. It would have been very easy for any of the branches to have damaged either one of the homes or a deck, but each one was brought down with precision. When they were done they tidied up where they worked and the final product looked great. Make sure to get a quote from Arborgreen Tree Service, most likely you'll end up going with Leo! read more

Arborgreen did a great job removing a large, unstable, and dying oak tree that was threatening our house, as well as our neighbor's. As others have said, Leo the owner was a pleasure to work with. He and his guys showed up on time, and worked efficiently through the job. They all wear Arborgreen branded gear, which shows they take pride in the company they work for. Lastly, their price quote for the work was very reasonable and far superior to others we received. I plan on hiring them again for tree trimming services this spring. read more

Wht to say I watched a gentleman up in my tree who made it look like it was as simple as eating pie. The team that came out to my house was very professional. They made quick work of the job! I will recommend them any day of the week read more

I have had 5 backyard pine trees in Glenview in a row for over 30 years (one we planted). This year three seemed to be dying...brown branches except for green near the top. This company listed an arborist but the gentleman who came to examine the trees said they were dead because of growing too closely (actually their widest branches did not even touch one another) and they needed to be cut. I asked if it could not be due to beetles or fungus and he said, "no." Because I said I wanted an arborist's opinion, he called his company and related that the "specialist" said it was a fungus because that's what's in the area and recommended putting fertilizer. He then half-heartedly tried to show me the fungus problem on the bark, but he couldn't. Sorry, but this gentleman didn't know what he was doing. I would never use this company for anything. read more

A big tree branch fell on my roof the Tue night before July 4th, I had a hard time getting anyone to come out and do the removal before the following week. Luckily I found Arborgreen Tree Service online on Friday, they came by to give me a quote the same day, and completed the job Sunday morning. They showed up on time with full equipment and manpower, and completed the job efficiently in about an hour while me and my neighbors watched. The staff were courteous and did a thorough cleanup job, their price is very competitive esp considering the work was done over the weekend. They are adequately insured and gave us a copy of the certificate of insurance. I'd recommend their service highly, my neighbors on both sides are considering having them back for tree trimming in the future. read more

A large tree branch fell across my fence during an ice storm. They came quickly after I called them, gave a reasonable quote to remove the tree to which I agreed. They came within 30 minutes, cleared away the tree branch and other debris and even repaired the fence. read more

I'm sorry, I'm quite late with this review! In May my husband and I hired Leo and team to remove our neighbor's large tree. It was not healthy, and parts of it had fallen, first 7 years ago (damaging our roof) and again last year (damaging their own cars in their driveway). Leo must have been in the area or had some free time because we received a detailed, written estimate before we ever even spoke with him! He was patient with us and with our neighbors while they figured out how to remove some things that were in the way. Once the obstacles were removed Leo's team was right out there. They started early and worked as quickly I suppose as possible (weather was threatening) but also very carefully. I saw them do thorough maintenance and preparation of their equipment before they began. They appeared to work well together as a team and to really plan each step for safety and efficiency (to my untrained eye). It was really quite an operation to watch! Yes, we definitely recommend Arborgreen! Oh also....very reasonable rates! read more

We highly recommend their service and we would definitely hire them again if we need anymore work in the future. read more

This company is not reliable!!! I called on Monday to set up an appointment to have an estimate to have some tree stumps removed. I told them it was something I needed done ASAP. Lilly scheduled me for the next day to have someone come out at 1pm. I rushed home to make sure I was there on time and at 1:20 called and left a message asking where the gentleman was for the estimate. She called me back and said he was running late and could come at 2:30. I said I am sorry that will not work I have to pick up my son from school. She said I can put you on for tomorrow (wednesday) at 11:15am. I said perfect. I sat around waiting until 11:40 and called. Lilly called the gentleman and called me back and said he is running late it would be another hour or so. I am sorry this is 2 days now that I have wasted waiting for someone and both times I had to call to find out where he was! read more

After all the positive reviews I thought my experience would be different. Called up last week and scheduled to have someone come out and give me an estimate. Someone came the next day and we agreed on a price and scheduled the removal for the following Wednesday. Nobody showed up. Eventually got a hold of Leo and was told that in order for the appointment to be held I had needed to respond to the email that was sent. Huh? Why is that necessary? Even so, in your own email you state "*Please confirm reception of proposal or office will call to confirm." Well, nobody called to confirm. So they want to reschedule for next week. Sorry, too little, too late. I'll find someone else. Best part of the story. On the phone Leo complained that he was having a good day until he spoke to me. Really? Did your customer ruin your day by expecting you to show up to your agreed upon appointment? I guess I should change the way I do business. Wait a minute... read more

Leo did a very good job he took down 5 pines and 2 oaks he diagnosed the problem on the pines right away very professional company and they know what to do read more

We couldn't be happier with the service we received from Arborgreen! After getting 3 quotes, Arborgreen was by far the best price - and we were especially pleased with their recommendation to SAVE TREES, not remove them. We have several very mature Maples that were a hazard to our home; the recent storms, earlier this month, caused damage and we were ready to remove them to avoid it happening again. They could have agreed to our request (and therefore made a considerable amount more from the job), but they care more about the health and vitality and value that our trees provided to our property. Hands down, would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable and valuable tree service company! read more

I required immediate service to bring down a towering, unstable blue spruce in my backyard. The high wind gusts with water-saturated soil made it imperative that the swaying tree be felled as soon as possible. At the recommendation of my landscaper, I called Arborgreen, and Leo came to my house several hours later. He promised to send his crew shortly, and they arrived within an hour. The danger was quickly mitigated by the expert action of two of his employees, as the tree was brought down without any complications. I had them remove another evergreen tree at the same time. They cleaned up after completion. I was quite pleased with my experience, and I expect to have Arborgreen do some additional tree-trimming in a few weeks. read more

We had 2 trees that were over 100 years old removed. They both were close to our house and one was sick...Leo was very professional and his team worked for over 2 days while skillfully removing them and grinding the stumps. All of our neighbors commented on how courteous they were. They also trimmed 3 other trees on our property and left our yard clean! We had to reschedule due to a snow storm and they were proactive in doing so. We also had a Nicor team working on our block at the same time and they worked well with Nicor in scheduling. They were substantially less than another tree company and VERY professional. All in all I would use them again in a heart beat...in fact I hope to have them out this summer to hang a tree swing! Leo and his crew are a pleasure to work with. They even left me some wood chips! read more

These guys did a great job. Leo talked to us about what is good for the tree and what to do to maintain it's health and beauty. It's a massive tree and loads of little dead branches needed to be removed. The price was very reasonable and they did a great job plus cleaned up afterwards. I've give them 6 stars if I could, they really do know their stuff. read more

We contacted Arborgreen Tree Service for an estimate on a Monday. Leo came out the same day and told me what parts of the tree should be taken down. He really knows his trees and when I realized that, I asked him to help me landscape my yard with a tree and bush. He takes care of buying and installing trees and bushes as well as tree removal. His estimates were exact and by far less than any other. The work was done by a polite crew by the end of the week. Everything was cleaned up and left spotless. The yard looks great and I highly recommend this company. By far the best bargain done by professionals! read more

Leo and his team did a fantastic job on our trees and bushes (in Northbrook). When Leo came by to prepare the estimate, he was very pleasant, patient with my questions, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and provided great suggestions. He gave us an estimate on-the-spot, and because I was so impressed with Leo, I hired him right away. On the day of the job, Leo and his team did a terrific job, and they were also very efficient and considerate in doing it. I would highly recommend them. read more

As others have noted, Arborgreen just does exactly what you want them to do, they respond promptly to phone calls, make appointments right away (mine, the same evening as I called, although they would have come and looked at tree even if I wasn't home), and came out within a few days to remove the tree while I was at work. There is literally no sign that the tree was there -- the clean up was terrific, everything that might have been broken was moved, and every trace of tree is gone (this was a 25 foot tall diseased ash). Great price, terrific service. Highly recommend. read more

If you need a great tree service call Leo. He did quality work, was very professional, and his rates were great. When other tree trimmers would not even respond to my emails Leo was quick to get back to me and even quicker to get the work done. He was careful not to damage an overhead cable line or my lawn. If you're looking for a tree trimmer anywhere on the north shore, just give him a call or send him an email and you won't be disappointed. read more
