Rude customer service. High-volume-over-customer-service type of business. After we signed acceptance of their proposal, it took weeks and weeks of my emailing and calling to finally get on their schedule. We gave them a second chance after a storm damaged our tree and Mike arrived without notice ahead of time and proceeded to walk all over our property and never rang the doorbell, his truck parked down the block and out of sight. Suspicious. Our ring cameras were going off and so when we went outside we saw the salesman walking away from our house and refused to identify himself. We politely told him were not notified they were coming out and he shrugged us off. read more

I hired advanced tree care to remove a large downed limb in my yard. I was surprised that a large well established company like this offered such affordable pricing, they outbid all the smaller companys and even the locals who wanted to do the job with their buddies. No communication problems, they came out quickly, submitted their bid quickly, got the job done quickly and did a good job. Was happy to be able to work with professionals at an affordable price. Would definitly use again. read more

Mike was rude to us even after we were loyal customers who had posted a 5-star review a few years ago. He parked out of view down the street from our house and arrived outside of business hours unannounced to walk all around our property. When we came out to politely ask who he was (since his truck was not in sight) he tried to avoid talking with us when we came outside after our Ring security cameras were beeping. He claimed we were told he was coming and we politely reported that no, we were not told. read more

It was a great experience working with the Advanced Tree Care team. Mike and his team were responsive during the entire planning process. The teams that removed our trees and stumps arrived on time and completed the work on schedule. I would recommend them for any landscaping needs. read more

I've used Advanced Tree Care twice. First time couple years ago I needed to remove a tree that was uprooting and leaning on wires, and another troubled tree. This year I had companies come out to asses all my trees and advise me on trimming. I had areas I was concerned about as well. Sean and his team were great to work with both times. Didn't feel over sold and he explained the work and reasoning well. They have bucket trucks so we're able to do the work fast and we're clean. I always get 3-5 quotes in anything I do every-time, and Advanced has always had the best prices. They're always on my list to call for quotes, and would recommend you put them on your list as well. read more

Unfortunately, our home was hit bad during a recent "microburst". In addition to damage to our home, garage, and fence, we also ended up with a backyard full of debris. (Chunks of tree trunks, massive tree limbs, and enough leaves to easily fill up 10-15 lawn bags) Advanced Tree Care came to our rescue and were on-site several days later to tackle the clean up process. I cannot thank Advanced Tree Care enough for coming as quick as you did and doing a great job with everything! We were very satisfied and would highly recommend Advanced Tree Care for your tree removal and storm recovery needs. read more

No follow through on my last posting with pictures. Had to have my landscaper clean up the mess so they could mow.

Having used Topps Tree Service for over a decade, we had to find a new company to take care of the multitude of trees on our property when Topps closed it's doors. Using Yelp, of course, I found Advanced Tree Care. They came out and provided me an estimate free of charge. When the workers arrived onsite, we went over again what was needed to be done. They performed the work in a professional manner and did an amazing job! They were thorough and cleaned up everthing, not leaving a single stick on the ground when they were done. read more

quick response after local storms, arbor tree knowledgeable service, great price, fantastic work

Super quality work, they worked on 6 trees for us and did a fantastic job. Very professional crew, really listened to us for what we were looking for, plus added their own expertise in keeping our trees healthy. Nice cleanup. Overall it was a fantastic experience, better than I could have hoped for, and far and away a much better experience than other companies I have used in the past. And, the price was more than fair. I'll never use anyone else. read more

Great working with the Mike to get a tree cut down in front of our property. It was done in a timely and efficient manner and Mike even worked with the city inspector to make sure it got completely covered by the city. Would recommend Mike and his team for your tree needs! read more

Beware. These guys can't seem to fill a work order correctly. Confirmed our appointment, took the day off to be home for it, and they didn't show. I called at 3 PM and they said, "oh, sorry, we won't be there". Back and forth on the scope of work - lots of misinformation. Crew was unfriendly. Bill wasn't helpful and argumentative. Put words in my mouth related to the scope of work. Unprofessional is one word that comes to mind. Won't be using them again. Mark read more

We have used Advanced Tree Care for tree trimming and now for a very large tree removal. Their work is great! The men taking down the tree were experienced, professional, and friendly. Their cleanup was terrific too. Bill was our arborist and was knowledgeable and responsive. We would definitely recommend Advanced Tree Care and will use them again when needed. read more

This was a return call from previous job done. Everything was great except for a few snafus, came on time, workers all wearing helmets, very safety minded and all friendly. One big suggestion, when getting a quote for trimming branches, make sure you get in writing which branches are to be removed. One review stated they were happy with what they already trimmed, and asked if any other remaining branches needed to be removed. Well that never happened to me, I mentioned about a branch and told me that wasn't in the quote. Get a photo if possible or someway to identify the branches you want to be removed. They will have a led light to point out the branches you want removed. Get that on paper!! read more

This is a skilled tree-service company with very knowledgeable Arborists. The job was done as scheduled and as proposed-mindful of the health and best look of each tree shaped and pruned. The owner is personally involved in each job and is responsive to the customer. I highly recommend them. read more

Well it is Christmas Eve in Northbrook so I guess we better trim some trees. But this year it isn't a tree for the front window it is two badly neglected trees in our yard. So at the recommendation of Advanced Tree Care we had some targeted surgery done while the trees were enjoying their winter dormant rest period. We had ATC out earlier in the year to remove and trim up some other trees but these two like the cool of the winter. So this morning when the thermomator hovered at a sunny 16 degrees a crew of 4 showed with smiles and layers to give the much needed trim job. The crew was moving from the time they arrived until the they loaded up for their next stop less than 2 hours later. They almost seemed to whistle while they worked on this Christmas Eve morning. They did an outstanding job and asked us more than once during the process if we were happy with what they had already trimmed and asked if we had saw any other remaining branches that they should remove. When they finished the trim job they made sure all stray branches where cleaned up including our neighbors backyard and any wood chips in the street. They surely left our yard in better shape than when they had arrived. So bottomline is they arrived on time, the lumberjacks were all very skilled and pleasant and finally they cleaned up their mess plus. I am happy to say that we won't be seeing them next year but down the road they are who we will call if we need a trim or removal. read more

The work that this company did was acceptable. However, the owner has a terrible attitude and a very poor businessman. The recent problem stems from a proposal that they made where they left off one of the services. I signed off on the contract based on the total proposed amount. After they finished the work, they sent me an updated invoice which was higher than what I signed off on. I contacted the owner and offered to split the difference of the amount in error. He seemed angry and said "so you expect me to eat the rest"?. Of course, he accepted my offer as he had no recourse. He was in no way apologetic for their error and then said outright "do not call us to do any more work for you!" I won't be using this company again and won't recommend them to anybody else. I will also inform other people that have used them to not use them again due to the owner's unprofessional and poor business practice and attitude. read more

Go with Advanced Tree Care! They were the most competitive price out of four quotes we got, and I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job. The team was kind and professional. They worked diligently on a huge removal project we had, and I swear you cannot even tell they were here. They cleaned up so the yard was pristine, picked up leftover logs a day later, and ground out all stumps before the end of the week. We've already recommended them to at least 3 other people. read more

I had previously written a positive review for tree trimming work performed by Advanced Tree Care, but I'm back to update my review based on poor customer service regarding a spray and soil drench performed on my magnolia tree. I have tried calling and emailing to get ahold of someone to discuss my issue, and have been ignored repeatedly. I wanted some questions answered about the service they performed, as I have not seen any improvement in the magnolia scale since they treated the tree, and wanted to understand how long it should take to work. I was emailing with Lori who recommended a service that I already had done, and after I told her they already performed that and it hasn't worked, she stopped responding to my emails and didn't answer any of my questions. I also replied to the email they sent me with the bill for this service, and I was told I would be contacted by an arborist to discuss the issue. That never happened. You lost a customer and I will be sure to share my experience with others. read more

Had a great first experience with this company and discontinued our business relationships after the second. Quote to trim bushes was twice what they charged in the Fall. Trimmed a river birch. My husband pointed out that one side was crooked. Called the rep to come out and fix. Was reprimanded like a child because the crew was not advised before they left. He also indicated a new service charge would apply if they came out a second time to fix the trim. I declined. Instead I will never use this company again, nor will I refer anyone else. Done. read more

After my first review, Mike (the owner) stepped in and immediately worked to make everything right again. The results were ... jaw-dropping. Really. He coordinated repairing our garage without inconveniencing our schedules -- and the work was first-rate! (His guys even paint-matched our existing paint perfectly ... then left us the leftover paint for future use.) Then, he worked with our original guy (Dennis) on the landscaping itself, stating that, even though it looked fine to our eyes, he himself thought it could have been done even better. And it WAS done better! The entire time he worked to make things right, he regularly updated us on the status of the repairs -- and you could tell that his earnestness to make things right was sincere and heartfelt. Mike clearly takes pride in the quality of his work, and he demands the best from the guys who work for him. When things went off the tracks (as they did with us initially), he was shocked to hear the news -- then determined to leave us more than satisfied with the remediation. At the end of the day, with a guy like Mike at the helm, I'd happily recommend Advanced Tree Care to anyone. YOU WANT TO USE THESE GUYS. read more

We recently had to have a tree removed and another one trimmed. Mike came out and we could tell right away versus the other folks who gave us estimates (four others) that he knew what he was talking about and that he was truly interested in helping us and improving the condition of other trees on our property. While we waited for the quote we prayed it would be one of the lowest but assumed it would be on the high side - alas - it was one of the lowest for the most work. So we went with Advanced Tree Care. They took care of working with the village to get the permits and the crew came out and did a quick job and except for not knowing they were supposwed to leave some lumber for firewood and leaving a few foot sized holes in the yard (where the trunk had fallen) they did a great job. The ground down the stump about a foot and a half into the ground - way better than other jobs we've seen in the neighborhood. If you have a tree trimming or removal need call them! read more

Wanted to use Advanced again. Called them 11/5/2018, Michelle promised a quote via email. 11/10/2018, no quote. Left them a message asking them to call with the quote. Still waiting 11/26/2018. After last night's storm sent heavy branches onto our roof from our dumb neighbor's tree, we are done waiting. Got a nice quote from Final Cut, Sergio is super responsive via phone, going to have them do the work. read more

Everything from beginning to end was perfect! This was the second time we have used this company and it will not be our last. We had a bunch of very large trees that needed to be removed. We were given an estimate within a few days of calling and once we confirmed the work, all the steps followed quickly after. Correspondence with Mike was exceptional and his crew did everything perfectly. Price was competitive as well! Highly recommend Advance Tree Care! read more

I have used Advanced Tree Care several times and they have always delivered great service at an affordable price. They have removed entire trees and also trimmed trees on my property. We have a wooded lot and have to cut 7 trees around our property. ATC gave us the most reasonable pricing.

Let me start by saying that the arborists did an exceptional job removing my giant ash tree located in my backyard basically boxed in by phone lines. Ever since I knew that the tree had to come down it was a huge burden on my back. This was not an easy job, as im sure most of the arborist jobs arent easy and if the conditions arent just right can be potentially dangerous... Not just for the arborists but for neighbors and potentially for yourself. If its too windy the falling limbs are all of a sudden much harder to control, same thing for rain. So this must be taken into consideration when rescheduling. I too was annoyed by the fact that it was pushed back almost a month from the original date, but after everything was said and done I realized it was the only decision they could make without putting myself, my neighbors, and most of all the arborists at risk. So if there is a tree you need removed, plan ahead. Dont call and expect it to be taken down immediately, this is poor planning. Anyways, I watched most of the tree come down (some parts i just couldnt bare to watch). And these guys really impressed me. They made it look easy, and I know that it was anything but. Like I metioned before this tree in particular was boxed in by wires allowing not much room for limbs to fall. But they somehow managed to barely even brush up against the wires. Really impressive work at a reasonable price. (the cheapest price I got from at least three different quotes) Thanks for everything, Charlie read more

Advanced Tree Care did a great job. From the very beginning meeting with the arborist and explaining what I wanted and along with his recommendations I was very pleased. The morning that the work was done the arborist came out with his crew and we reviewed together what work was being done. They reviewed all the safety for both the employees and my home. They provided their certificate of insurance to prove they were bonded and insured which is very important to have in the event of an accident. The entire process was very professional. read more

Dee Lee was knowledgeable and direct in his assessment of my tree health needs. He also managed to have advanced capabilities to trim some of my more difficult to reach trees which was a blessing. Since then we've had numerous storms and no residual branch fallout. The deep root fertilizing has given my arborvitae in back some extra density that they needed. I intend to hire them again. read more

I have never had work done by this company ,but I live behind someone who has. This company made a mistake and cut our at&t cable. From initial request for a bid straight through chipping the tree- they were very good every step of the way. On time, professional, quick.
