I've hired Renzo and his team for a few projects. Every project they have done a great job and at very reasonable prices.

Be careful buying firewood from this company. I bought a face cord and unfortunately was unable to watch them unload it. later that day when I checked , almost all of the wood was wet frozen and covered in packed dirt and mud. Can't even bring it into the house without a mess wouldn't have purchased it if they would have let me know it was sitting out in the weather. when I texted Renso to state my displeasure he basically said so what haven't had complaints. read more

We had a dying blue spruce tree needing to be cut down and ground down. I called about 6 other companies to compare, he was prompt in getting back to me in less than a day. He had most competitive price among the ones I spoke with. Once he got started he was here and down cutting down a 60 foot tree in less than 2 hours. His team was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I am extremely pleased with a job well done and would gladly use them in a heartbeat. Renzo and his crew were awesome! We had one gigantic tree that was between two houses and they skillfully removed the tree in about 2 hours. They also cleared several large limbs away from of our driveway and house. The were fast, polite and tidy. The one thing that stood out was Renzo's responsiveness. After trying to set up appointments with other tree companies without response, he was quick to respond and followed up by delivering the service in the timetable promised. Fair price, professional, efficient, Safe Renzo and the crew were here yesterday to remove a large Black Walnut that was leaning over the street. I appreciated the great care they took to protect my lawn and the neighbor's property during the process. They laid down sheets of plywood on the lawn to drive the cheery pricker truck over. That really helped. They also roped the branches being cut and carefully lowered them to the ground rather than simply allowing them to drop and tear up the lawn. Same with the trunk sections. I reached out on yelp to get a quote, and final oaks was the first to contact me, set up an appointment for a quote, and actually show up to the scheduled meeting. Their quote was also lower than the other places that eventually decided that maybe they want my business, so the choice for the project was a no brainer. They did an excellent job, and any contractor that can actually keep their appointments, not give you any runarounds, and provide good service for a reasonable cost deserves five stars. read more

Renzo at Final Oaks Tree Service provides a great service at a fair price. Renzo's quote was near the bottom of four quotes we received. Renzo's team was onsite on time and did great work removing tree stumps in my yard and deadwood on my trees. I really appreciated that they left my yard clean and better than they found it. They took great care to remove all debris from my yard. Best of all Renzo was honest, and came back to complete a very small amount of work that could not be completed due to weather on the next business day. Renzo was very responsive and brought us a face cord of firewood, stacked it neatly and quickly but 1) One of his workers ripped our tarp BADLY and didn't say anything. I texted Renzo and sent him a picture of the damage and he did replace the tarp. But.... 2) Even though I specifically asked if the wood was seasoned already and he said yes, the entire cord is unuseable and green. It literally won't catch fire even after burning with the gas on our fireplace for an hour. He said the wood is what he himself uses and no one else has complained. We told him we would gladly pay him $500 if he could come over to our home and make a fire out of this wood. He said he would come and replace the wood with some that would burn and is now no longer answering our texts or calls. I feel like we just got scammed. He seemed nice and he did replace the tarp, so he must have some ethics, but he owes us some wood or some money. DO NOT BUY THIS WOOD UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE WAITING A YEAR TO MAKE YOUR FIRES!!! read more

The workers were awesome!! They really worked hard and were done in 2 1/2 hours taking down a birch trimming another birch tree and another maple tree. They also left it cleaner that what was there already. Renzo was great at explaining what needed to be done and I think they were reasonable price wise. I would highly recommend these guys! My roughly 2 acre property in Northbrook has a bunch of buckthorn trees (hundreds of them) growing along the perimeter. I've had two separate arborists tell me they an invasive species and will take over if we don't keep them in check. But the trees provide nice privacy in the summer so we don't want to cut them all down. So I called Renzo at Final Oaks Tree Service with an odd request, to get rid of, like, every third buckthorn tree in our yard. Thin them out a little, but not too much. Keep them in check. Renzo stopped by to survey the situation, gave me a quote, and though it was reasonable we reached out to a couple of other landscapers as well for quotes since it's not a small job. One never got back to me and the other didn't know what buckthorn trees were. So I scheduled the Final Oaks team to come out and they did the job in one morning. These guys were great!! They returned calls/messages promptly, they showed up on time to give quote, to do work and to do some follow up services. They climbed into a very large tree to prune it and cut it back as to not infringe on my neighbors roof, and their clean up was fabulous as well.
