The MOST AAAMAZING ARBORIST!!! My yard grew larger today. :) A terrible storm did one of my 80 year old tress in and with it being so close to the power lines I was pretty nervous. I called AAA Arborist Tree Experts and Michael came out ASAP and immediately put me at ease. I believe his exact words were, "I'll take care of you." And he and his team did. I just bought this house a few months ago and having a yard with big tress is new to me, so Michael took the time to walk me around my yard, at my request and tell me about my trees. Honestly, Michael made me feel great about my property. The AAA Arborist Tree Experts team tackled trimming a 100 foot tall tree in my front yard, cut back and invigorated my massive 80 year old mulberry tree in the back, a removed my invasive trees that were making my yard smaller and smaller as they took over, and so much more at a price that was less than half of what I thought. Not sure why Mike has so many good ratings because I would give him 0 stars if I could. He came out to look at a tree for treatment and replacing 2 bushes I was having problem with. We came up with a solution and a price and I thought there would be no problem. I talked to him on the phone about what the new bushes would be and again no problem. On 9/20 he even sent me a picture of the new boxwood he was getting. I called hi numerous times (probably around 10 times) and left messages for him to call me back to confirm the date for the work but he never returned the calls. When he finally did he told me that his mother sprained or broke her ankle. Whether she did or not I don't know but why he couldn't take 30 seconds and send me a text or phone call is beyond me. He then told me to call him on Thursday 10/3 or Friday to to set up a time on Friday or Saturday to do the work. Left more messages for him on 10/3 and never heard from him again. Thought maybe he would show up for the work on Friday or Saturday like he said but nothing, not even a call or text. Because of his irresponsibility I lost over 2 weeks of getting the tree treated and replacing the bushes. I don't understand how anyone could still be in business after treating people the way he does. If he'd like to respond to this rating, I'd love to here his excuses. read more

When we met to review my trees his knowledge helped me decide what we needed to do, eventually needing to remove an Ironwood and trim the Maple trees. I first found Michael on a paid for website in 2015. He quickly addressed a damaged tree due to a storm. His prices were competiteve and he and his crew did a super job. After being away for a month, I came home to find my beautiful 56 year old evergreen dying (images). Michael came out and said it could not be saved due to a fungus. His price for removal was $400.00. I also had him remove a large wild evergreen bush that was 7/8 ft. tall-which was too close to the foundation of my home. For an extra $100.00. We had Michael and his crew out to remove a large dead oak tree, and trim a maple tree on the sides of our house. After submitting a request for estimate, Michael was there the next afternoon to quote. He was very accommodating of my hectic schedule and was in contact quite often as we neared the removal date (as it had been quite windy and rainy the few days prior). Our tree was in a very tight spot; very close to our house/windows, gas meter, overhanging the roof, so I was nervous about the removal. Once Mike and his team set up and started going, I was completely at ease - every necessary step to insure my house/yard, my neighbors house and landscaping, etc. was taken. The trees were removed safely and efficiently and not only did they clean the yard, one of the guys was on the roof blowing all the debris off the roof and out of the gutters. It's the little things like that that set Mike's crew apart from others. I would recommend him to anyone and will have him out again for future services. Another thing that I particularly liked, is that Mike is an arborist first - he wants to take care of or save the tree if possible, before just taking it down - he really cares and knows what he's doing. read more

I don't know how I ever found Michael. At some point, his name got programmed into my phone as the 'Tree Guy'. So when soaking rains and a microburst uprooted my pine tree, I called him. He quickly took care of it for a very reasonable price. Then two years later, when another one of my pines was dying, I called him again. He looked at the tree, gave me a decent price and I told him I had another tree I was wondering about. On the way to that other tree, he pointed out some things I needed to know... he said, "You will never successfully grow grass here under this maple tree because it's sucking nutrients out of the soil and away from the grass." That explains why I have to reseed that area every year. Oh, and the plant I thought was a vine that I was going to pull off of my chainlink fence? Turns out it's Poison Oak! THANK YOU, MICHAEL! Just spent 3 thousand dollars to have a large tree removed. First, a good portion of the tree is still in my yard. Even though this was the 4th time owner saw my tree, he did not plan on enough removal equipment. Then he asks me to wait until next week when he can fit it in his schedule. Second - I asked about access with my fences. No problem, we will remove them and then replace it all. Two fences now sitting on my property, Too rotten to replace, too bad. Third, after my spouse gave water, ice, lemonade AND provide shelter in my garage, the workman made lewd comments and laughed at her, Told Michael, no response. Plants were damaged. Garbage all over backyard. I will NEVER recommend this company. Shame on me for trusting you Michael, shame on you for such poor ethics. UPDATE UPDATE Michael called me and LISTENED. He came out with crew next morning and completed the job beautifully. There even was an apology from the worker mentioned. I consider it a true mark of integrity when someone stands behind their word and completes the job to the customers satisfaction. I asked him to price the removal of a large mulberry and a box elder separately since they were threatening my power lines, then give me a separate price for removing several small trees and for grinding out the large stumps. He did that and we agreed on a package price. He came out the following week, they gave me as many logs as I wanted and enough wood chips to mulch the front of my house. After terrible damage to our tree, we contacted Michael about at AAA Arborist in Late November 2018. Today, April 2, 2019, Michael finally had his equipment fixed and was scheduled to come out yesterday (only to again reschedule,) and then he decided to tack on close to a thousand dollars over his initial bid. Are you kidding? We waited because we felt sorry that his chipper was in need of repair, and now he screws us??? First the repair, then he needed to find guys, then it was too cold in March and now, he wants to charge us $800 to take the chipped wood away???? What a disgraceful person. If he tells you he found God, and he's lucky to be alive, if true..usually people don't turn into con artists when being grateful to be alive. He knew I just had heart surgery and was worried about this tree, and then to gouge me???? Run fast and find some other company. This guy is a con artist. read more

My husband had spoken with Mike some time ago about a tree that suffered some damage in the ice storm this past winter but increasingly failing health suspended the conversation and I didn't know how my husband knew Mike. Today, after a month in ICU and a ways to go, Mike was around, unbeknownst to me, and after speaking to a wonderful neighbor, took it upon himself to take care of the damaged tree. Michael was wonderful to work with for a magnolia with scale. He came out the same day and immediately applied the remedy. Stickiness was gone within a few days, rather than weeks! I needed a large, over-grown Arborvitae tree removed from my property. The tree was in between my house and my garage and the power lines were nestled within the branches. I also wanted the stump ground out and removed. Michael completed a free estimate within a few hours after I called to request it. Michael's price was competitive with the others we received. The work was scheduled to be completed within a week. Unfortunately, we had some rather large rain storms that delayed the service; however, Michael was very timely with calling me to reschedule. On the day of service, the crew was scheduled to arrive between 8:00-8:30am; however, they did not arrive until 9am. This is my only complaint and I wouldn't have minded so much if I wasn't on a tight schedule to get to work after the removal was completed. Michael and his crew worked safely and quickly. The whole removal process took a little over an hour and a half. The crew was sure to work around the power lines and the nearby fence. Michael even offered to clear our the front gutters near the tree since they were so clogged from the tree hanging over them for so long and the removal process. The crew cleaned up the yard and sidewalk directly surrounding the former tree location. I'm so glad a co-worker recommended Michael and his company because they did great work. We have used Mike and his AAA before. He did a great job in the past, did again today. We had 2 large, old Norway Maples and 1 large old Silver Maple all pruned and raised. Lots of dead branches, overgrowth and other branches encroaching on and over our house and also our neighbors. We also had a long arborvitae hedge trimmed. Again, lots of pruning involved. All of Mike's workers did a great job. Very knowledgeable. And Mike was there the whole time, consulting with us as each tree or hedge was about to be worked on.
