We had a storm-damaged tree that needed to be removed, and the crew did an outstanding job. They worked incredibly hard, even in the extreme heat, and were professional from start to finish. They not only removed the damaged tree safely but also cleaned up additional trees and debris around the property, leaving everything looking great. Their attention to detail and work ethic really stood out. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again in the future! read more

Have called and texted Sergio Trees countless times for an estimate over months after Sergio and son came to look at my job. I've spoken to the woman who answers the phone many times asking for at least a call or text back, or if not interested in my project to kindly let me know. No response. Simply ignored. Not the way to run a business. I have used Coco trees instead and the experience was night and day. Responsive and thorough. I highly recommend Coco trees. Call Jorge at 847-766-1692. read more

Very disappointing- have used Sergio before. Prices are good but scheduling is notoriously slow. Eventually they make it out to the property if you are patient. However, I recently called for service and Sergio Jr came out. Scheduling was difficult. I finally had a date on the books and he blew me off. No call and no explanation. That was WELL over a month after he came out and gave me the quote. I even attempted a reschedule and never heard back. This business may have been reputable at one time but Sergio Jr could be changing that. Prices maybe good but you have to actually show up and do the work. read more

We contacted Sergio's Tree Removal to take down 4 evergreen trees. Sergio came out and gave us a fair quote and promised to have a crew do the work within a month. It is now two months later and they have not arrived to do the work. We have called his office over a dozen times and they do not respond. No way to run a business. read more

Do not call or use this. He came out right away, gave me a quote, and promised to come back a few days later. I must've left half a dozen messages being very polite over the next two months, just asking him to call me back and to schedule. He wouldn't even do me the courtesy of calling me back. There is something seriously wrong because many other people have given him the same review. Nobody, I mean nobody should use this person services. read more

I called them on the day they were scheduled to crew my trees to see what time they would be arriving and the only answer I got back was quotes" I don't know". They never showed up. I called the scheduler to see if they would be rescheduling and she said she did not know their schedule but that they would come within the next few days. It has been weeks and they never showed so I canceled their service. read more

We had a small tree split and fall in the storm. Sergio's Tree Removal came the same day and removed it. Very reasonable pricing and very fast and professional! read more

The Sergio's crew removed a tree from a neighbor's yard today. They parked their trucks in front of my house, blocking the Groot truck from grabbing my garbage. I'm also not happy with Groot. read more

Best tree service at the best prices. They are careful and fast and very tidy. I will now always use them for my trees in the future...I am that impressed. Great team. I asked them to leave some of a large tree stump and level it so I can put and planter on the top and they got it just right. read more

If you want a company that keeps telling you they are coming but never shows. These are the guys for you.

How does this place stay in business? They never answer calls or texts and this is the 2nd time they have not shown up when we were told they would. Never again will I attempt to use their service. Need a zero star option. read more

Unprofessional, Been waiting on a reply from them for weeks after they gave me an estimate, which was agreed to and then I went ahead and paid for the permit. Since then it's me calling every few days with no reply by Sergio just his daughter. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Sergio! He and his son came out the day after I called, gave me a great estimate and came out early the next week to remove several dead trees from my property. They cleaned up after themselves - the yard was impeccable. More importantly, Sergio knows what he's doing - he knows trees and gave me some good suggestions. This is the second time I've used them and will do so again in the future. read more

Working with both Sergio father and Sergio son was awesome from start to finish. They came out one day, gave us an estimate and were out the next day to complete the job. Honest, reliable, trustworthy, and not only on time to do the job and showed up 1.5 hours earlier as expected. Above 5 stars and highly recommended. Good work and appreciate you. Thank you, --Rick read more

They always do a great job of an estimate and cutting and pruning my trees! I would never use anyone else! They always clean up afterwards and do everything with a smile read more

Sergio's crew are precise and efficient. They have been trimming my trees for years. They do a great job and leave no debris behind. I highly recommend them for your tree trimming needs. read more

Sergio's guys were amazing! They removed a large dead Oak tree in Glencoe that was near a fence, pool, and power lines. ComEd shut the power off while they removed the tree. One guy went high up in the tree and took it down piece by piece. The 5 guys on the ground took away the debris with ball carts, chain saws, and wheelbarrows. They brought a large truck and a truck with a chipper. They work together really well! read more

Great response time, great customer service, polite and charged a very reasonable price to cut down and core our sick tree. Have used them before with the same positive reviews. Consistently solid company! read more

Sergio and team are great. They arrived on time for the estimate, tree removal, and stump grinding. They removed two huge dead oaks in a location that required parsing and manual haul out to the chipper 100 feet away. Fast, efficient, left everything in great condition, and very reasonably priced. I will definitely use Sergio again. read more

They really disappointed us yesterday. We needed branches removed urgently because a squirrel was beginning to nest under a roof eave and accessing via a low tree branch. They PROMISED Friday and then never showed up - this is the 2nd time in a row...they're good and reasonable when they actually turn up but now we're convinced they're unreliable...it's too bad, read more

I never leave reviews. However, please don't use this company. Had a no show in December to trim an Oak. They said they were behind. Called several times always reassured they would get to me. I called again for a date. Was given one. Never showed up. Called went to voicemail, left a text with no response. Finally texts back and asked if a crew had arrived yet at 2pm. Meanwhile I made a call and had an estimate and someone else is coming in 2 days. The bottom line is I'm not begging someone to take my business and money if you can't even call back. No way to run a business read more

Sergio has serviced several friends and neighbors and when we had quite a storm this week, I called his office at 8:00 the next morning:00. I spoke to a live person and he was at our house in 45 minutes. Sergio quoted a very fair price and removed the two large limbs from our huge oak tree in our backyard. His crew was friendly, took care of our property to ensure no damage and cleaned up afterwards. Sergio quoted a very fair price as well. I hope to not need him again, but if I do, he's the guy to call. (PS - I introduced him to several neighbors in the same situation and he quickly and cleanly resolved their tree issues and at a very fair price). Thanks, Sergio! read more

They removed 3 trees and grounded all the stumps plus one additional stump. They were prompt, easy scheduling, and great communication. One tree was right up against the house and they removed it perfectly, with no damage to the house or the lawn. I could not be happier with the work and I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

Sergio Tree Removal is just phenomenal to work with. I called and Sergio himself came out immediately to give me a quote. His quote was the best of the three people I contacted, but what won me was that Sergio and his son were both genuinely good people. They are light-hearted and you can tell they are honest, good people who also know their craft. Their crew came a few weeks later to do the work and the crew was also very nice and considerate. They were also very efficient with the job and took much less time than I thought it would. I would highly recommend Sergio Tree Removal. I am so glad I found them! read more

Sergio's Tree Removal - Tree Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Gave me a quote that I agreed to and then didn't show up. The next year he gave me another quote and his daughter even emailed me a certificate of insurance. I had used him twice in the past so I gave the benefit of the doubt. Never showed up. Stay away from this company. read more

I have had Sergio's at my property 2 times. Both times, worked out great, awesome work, reasonable pricing. I literally have been trying to have them do more work since. Had two estimates done, scheduled the time, no one showed up. This has happened twice, and this was after having great work done in the past??? I think Sergio has so much work that there is an option to pick and choose what jobs are convenient for the company to complete. Kudos to them for having that luxury as a business. read more

Excellent work on our tree removal- would hire again and again. They were fast and thorough.

I would give no stars if I could. While Sergio, the owner, personally stopped by for the walk through, I received no call back for a quote, although I even called their office twice and told me they are checking, still nothing. After the pandemic, seems like no one wants to take the initiative or responsibility anymore. Seriously, customer service went out the window, for many. Just trying to give people money to do their job. Never calling them again. read more

IF you are able to ever get them to show up, they do a great job. Sergio came out to quote some tree work. He told us they would be out next week. Have called the office many times with promises of call backs and nothing. This seems to be a pattern with them. They do great work, but its a slim chance they will ever show up read more

EVERYTHING could improve!!! Sergio JR. NEVER answered a call while SR. happily gave me a quote which I accepted. That was the last I heard from SR. I followed up with the office number only to have them tell me they can't get in touch with either of them. They are the schedulers...!!! The office after 2+ months of blowing me off responded by text and told me to start over elsewhere. Truly pathetic company and experience. read more

Prerty sketchy company. Two gentlemen showed up for a quote for tree removal. Then I heard nothing after that. Crew showed up at 8 AM a week later without notice. No one spoke English. I had got in touch with Sergio's tree removal, he came out, I got an estimate for removal and stump grind on 3 trees, I called 2 days later to book them, I was told they could come the following week, when I called to set a date I was told that they were very busy due to a wind storm and it would be 3 weeks they could get to me. Two weeks pass and I asked when in the next week or so could they come out, then I was told they were swamped and they couldn't do it until late February, 4 months after I first spoke with them! I've used him in the past and the work he did was ok but I couldn't wait any longer for this, I ended up booking J. Perez tree service. He gave me a fair price and did a great job. read more

I got a bunch of quotes to remove one spruce, another mostly dead tree as well as a number of smaller-med sized hedges. Sergio and his son (Jrn) were great and gave me a price on the spot that was super competitive. I really enjoyed his friendly demeanor and 'can-do' approach to things. I was super surprised to see those lower ratings but can see that if you wanted an urgent job with everything ticked and tied then perhaps Sergio's relaxed approach isn't for everyone. All these companies have been super busy this summer and Sergio's team was no different. But once we locked in a date his team showed up and did an AMAZING job. My kids were fascinated with the way the team took down the various trees and branches (from the house). The 4 person team were there all day and left a few trunk pieces that were picked up the following day. The final 2 person team came a week later to grind out the various stumps. Great service, great job and I can wholeheartedly recommend this family run business, they were all fantastic. read more
