Arborgreen Tree Service cut down and removed a large Ash tree in my backyard today, along with two trees in my neighbors' yards. They did a great job and were easy and pleasant to do business with. I highly recommend them. The job started when the owner, Leo, filed for a permit with the Chicago Park District. It took several weeks to get the permit but Leo managed it all. Today, the workers showed up on schedule. Took the tree down cleanly and safely. And left my yard in great shape! I would describe the job as more difficult than average. The tree was quite large with twin trunks. The space to work in was very tight. The tree was close to a fence on two sides, wires on three sides, and perennial plants surrounding it. But Arborgreen did the job quickly and efficiently; they ground the stumps to below ground level; left my perennials and grass in good shape; and left a few wood chips in my perennial garden where the stumps used to be. I hope I don't need to remove any more trees, but I would definitely use Arborgreen again if I need any tree trimming or arborist work done. read more

A big tree branch fell on my roof the Tue night before July 4th, I had a hard time getting anyone to come out and do the removal before the following week. Luckily I found Arborgreen Tree Service online on Friday, they came by to give me a quote the same day, and completed the job Sunday morning. They showed up on time with full equipment and manpower, and completed the job efficiently in about an hour while me and my neighbors watched. The staff were courteous and did a thorough cleanup job, their price is very competitive esp considering the work was done over the weekend. They are adequately insured and gave us a copy of the certificate of insurance. I'd recommend their service highly, my neighbors on both sides are considering having them back for tree trimming in the future. read more

We found Arborgreen Tree Service as very efficient in providing service to our needs.. They were prompt with estimate and gave a short time lead for service. Within a week's time from date of estimate the service team was here to cut the trees. While the work was being done there was always a request that we come out to view the work progress to make sure that the cuts and shaping of the trees were done to our expectations. The work was done efficiently and the clean up afterwards was just great. I would recommend this company to anyone who might need tree cutting. I haven't experienced the tree removal side of this business, but I've bought firewood from them a couple times this season and every time has been a pleasure! The prices knock the socks off any firewood in the area, and they are always very responsive and go out of their way to find a time to meet up. They tied up bundles of wood and loaded them for free, and they're already only charging ~$.50 a log (depending on what package you're getting) for hefty logs that are well seasoned and burn great. To start of they are so nice, calling the office and setting up and appointment with the Arborist was easier than what I expected. The way they handle a customer is very professional, got a quote in less than 24 hrs. The price for the quote was amazing it made it easy for me and my husband to begin the job right away. One thing that did surprised me was that they gave me a set time for my appointment yet Leo was a bit earlier then I expected but Leo did mention that sometimes he runs earlier than other days which is understandable. Although it was sad to see this 60-yr old tree go, I was delighted with the prompt and professional service provided by Arborgreen. Leo came out to quote a price (a bit more reasonable than other quotes) and we arranged a date for them to come and do the job. I was amazed how accurately they were able to cut away and remove these huge limbs hanging over my house without a scratch to my gardens and house. They provided nice wood chip/shred for mulch and some logs for firewood at the dimensions I requested, and hauled the rest away. Good job! read more

Some time back we had a tree break in half after a high winds. Arborgreen was out to quote 30 min after I called them and gave me a quote on the spot. Other places I called could not get to me that fast. As the tree was over a sidewalk, this was an urgent job for me. Their price was reasonable and they were out the next day getting it done. I called for an estimate to remove a very large dead tree. Leo came out later that day. He was very friendly, told us exactly what he would do and gave us a great quote. Leo and his crew showed up on the day we agreed on. The tree and the crew were gone in about 3 hours. Nothing was disturbed and all branches and chips were taken away. I had a difficult tree to remove, poised to fall on my house after a storm, and Leo and his crew came in on an emergency basis, after dark, with a crane and a number of very skilled climbers and got the job done.
