Quick delivery, super nice, great quality, fair price, very dry wood. My moisture detector showed about 10% moisture. Previous companies were in the 15-20% range, which was still perfectly fine. So, this is dry. read more

C4azy high prices. Gotta wonder how these guys stay in bisiness. Bulk prices are more expensive than buying individual bundles at local grocery stores!!? read more

Very fast. Very polite. Easy communications. Ordered a face cord of mixed wood. It was stacked neatly and was much more than a face cord. Haven't burned it yet. But was told it was over a year drying. read more

Great price and great customer service. The guy who delivered was very nice and nearly placed the wood on my stand. 100% will use again.

Short version-They're great! Midwest Firewood has fast delivery, fair pricing, quality product, & professional service. Full version-I called and Tom was ready to serve. Apparently Tom was ready to serve a while ago as he is a veteran. I was so pleased to be able to support a veteran-owned business. Tom thought he might be able to deliver on the same day I called and he did. He arrived exactly when he said he would and the delivery was professional and swift. The stacked wood looks like it would pass a military inspection. It's a very neatly and orderly stack ready for use. I definitely would recommend Midwest Firewood for your wood burning needs. Bottom line - Midwest Firewood is THE source for firewood! read more

Firewood delivery? Yes, please! They were timely and stacked my wood nicely. And, you can Zelle with a rip

These guys were great. Very professional, reliable, and cheerful. The delivered a face cord and stacked in the garage taking special care to create a pile that wouldn't shift with some tricks of the trade and they even swept up after. Recommended. I gotta guy now. read more

After a bad experience with Firewood Chicago and leaving a message with 2 other places, I reached out to Midwest Firewood. They got out in less than 48 hours, one time, stacked the firewood neatly, and, unlike the Firewood Chicago wood, it burns. Will order from Midwest Firewood again. read more

Tom went way beyond the call of duty for me yesterday. But I was out of firewood, kids were having friends over and wanted to use the firepit. I called another place that's close to me first. They were out of firewood. So then I found Midwest Firewood. Tom took the call, told me he was pretty busy, but offered to bring it after regular working hours (which worked fine for me since college kids - like Vampires - never come out before dark). He came up with an entire flatbed full of really good hardwoods at around 8 pm. stacked it all up, and charged me a fair price. Nice guy. Good conversationalist. Good price. Great job. I'm a little late in posting this review; I fell asleep by the fireplace for a few weeks and could only wake up long enough to stoke an additional log. Tom is extremely professional, courteous, and goes above and beyond to ensure that the lines of communication are open. I called and scheduled a delivery of a cord of wood in mid-October, and he was flexible with timing and the price was right. The wood is great, too! Smells excellent and burns hot. I may be calling him again shortly; firewood is one of those commodities that I tend to burn through... read more

Just ordered a 1/2 face chord and couldn't have been happier with the service and product so far. I called them to comparison shop and they were helpful, patient and nice. I called back a couple days to order and had a delivery scheduled a few days earlier. They were in the neighborhood a day earlier and I was around. Reno did a quick and great job dropping off and dealing with my bad shoveling job in our alley. Price and payment was fair, quick and easy. Looking forward to the fires with family and friends! Full disclosure: I haven't used any of the foreword yet but will update when I have a few fires with their product. read more

Having tried several Chicagoland suppliers of firewood over the years Midwest Firewood is above and beyond the rest. I live in the city and I have a small wood burning stove which can only take logs less than 12 inches. Midwest has been able to supply me over the past few years with top quality, long burning, solid oak logs which which are cut for me in order to meet this requirement. The wood is delivered quickly, neatly stored and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Midwest Firewood. read more

I had a good experience buying a face cord of firewood for my home's fireplace. Price was fair and Tom was easy to converse with both over the phone and via text. The amount of wood we received (3.5' x 10' stacked) was more than a defined face cord (4' x 8' stacked) and Tom was efficient and skilled in stacking the wood where we wanted it. I'd recommend buying wood from this place if you are looking for firewood for your residential fireplace. read more

Tom was very responsive and got me wood right away. He was communicative the whole time let me know when he would arrive and had it stacked in no time. Even cleaned up the driveway after, it was like he was never there. I can't burn the wood yet as it was 100 degrees today I can tell that it is dry and well seasoned Will definitely use Tom again as soon as I burn through it read more

Last evening I looked out my window to see people unloading firewood and toting loads up the stairs to a neighbor. I asked if they had any extra left on the trailer, they said they did and gave me a good price to stack it on my front porch. Really good quality wood and they gave me a great price. I will order from them again. read more
