Always wanted to try this place out. Pros: -parking -has a lot on their menu Cons: -small for a big party -closes early I ordered the eggnog latte and honestly just tastes like a regular coffee. It is 4.50 for a medium. $5 minimum to use a card

It's kind of hard to find, it is located in the strip mall behind Fresh Meadows Pizza. It's too bad they can't put more signage outside so people can know it's there. We discovered it when we first moved to Fresh Meadows. They make some of the best avocado toast I've ever had and it's decently priced too. The ingredients are fresh and there's so much avocado. She does not skimp. My husband has had their breakfast wraps and said it was delicious. I like supporting a small business. Go check them out!

This small cafe is a great stop for a quick bite or drink. They pay attention to detail and things are made in house. It is conveniently located next to a local Chinese supermarket and an elementary school. Fortunately, there is a parking lot that has tons of space available for free. The cafe is quite small and meant for a quick order and pick up, but there's some seating for a sit down. Indoor Sit down is only for 3-4 people. You can place your order either by walking in or calling ahead of time to pick up. I ordered lumpia and it was cooked right away just as I ordered it. It was fresh and crispy. Definitely homemade. One order comes with 5 pieces along with a sweet and sour sauce. The chicken bacon avocado wrap is filling with lots of vegetables and protein. Flavor wise, everything is quite balanced. The Hawaiian chia bowl had mangos, bananas and granola on top. It was just sweet enough and not overpowering. Decent portion. The lemonade was a bit too sweet for my liking. If you'd like flavored lemonade, expect it to be flavored syrup mixed with some lemonade. It's delicious but quite sweet. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a quick bite, but not really for a sit down spot.

Really wanted to love this place. They have amble parking near the Asian supermarket. Although the Hawaiian breakfast bowl was delicious, it wAs a really small portion in the big bowl they provided. You have to go early to get it because they are usually sold out by 10-11am. I also tried their chicken bacon avocado sandwich and it was super dry. Place is very cute and cozy though

This small, but impressive cafe surprises just with sheer number of items on offer in a place the size of postage stamp (tastefully decorated postage stamp). Truly a staggering collection where it seems they offer the world, but it also makes me hope they don't burn out trying to keep everything in stock. I wonder how they keep track of how to make all the food/drink items on this menu. I'll just list the categories, you can check out the details here: https://www.meadows.cafe/online-ordering Morning Bites, wraps/sandwiches/painini's/Pita Pockets, Bowls, Salads, etc. (small bites, snacks, sides), Coffee/Tea/Crafted Drinks, Bubble Tea, Ice Cream & Sorbet, Tea time, lil' lunchbox and a catering menu. The Guava green tea yakult was delicious and I felt I was being healthy by drinking this, but like most green tea drinks once you add anything you can no longer taste the green tea. The Galaxy lemonade is a multi-color beauty with butterfly pea tea added to lemonade causing the effect. The egg sandie was a folded omelet with spinach and cheese on multigrain bread, but you have other options (always other options here) and the breakfast burrito was stuffed with egg, black bean & corn salsa, spinach, jack cheese, brown rice and ranchero sauce. Hawaiian chia bowl was packed with fresh mango, goji berries (no longer listed on menu) and banana with the macadamia nuts and granola giving the added texture to this generous bowl - shaved coconut and passion fruit drizzle round this out and transport you to Maui. Everything on the large menu is reasonably priced (dare I say - inexpensive :o ). The large parking lot in this off the beaten path shopping center is a bonus. This place is a hidden gem.

Drinks are pretty unique and tasty. Somewhere around $4-6 each. Mango black tea - good Peach jasmine tea - good Passion fruit jasmine tea with bubbles - good Tropical drink (?) with chia seeds - so good The brown sugar bubbles was an interesting texture but the flavors is so so. The aloe jelly is super soft and not the crunchy kind. The chia seed is a nice addition. They have a buy 10 get one free punch card.

A new cute little cafe just opened up near IOG supermarket. The menu looks fresh, healthy, tasty and fun. They serve salads, sandwiches, wraps, pitas, bubble tea drinks, ice cream, sorbets, danishes, bakery goods, coffee, lattes, flavored teas, chia bowls, quesadilla, lumpia, hummus platter and Hong Kong egg waffles! The list goes on.... Wow, so many choices in this little cafe! I tried the Carolina Bowl $8: White meat chicken with Carolina bbq sauce, brown rice, crispy onions, purple cabbage slaw, corn, cherry tomatoes, microgreens, and corn bread crumble. This was quite yummy! Though, the chicken was a bit dry. And the dish needed a little more veggies like cucumber, or lettuce, etc., because the bbq sauce was rather heavy... but tasty. The crispy onions were super good, not oily at all. The bbq sauce was awesome and faintly spicy. It was a nice sized portion. I would get it again. Seating. Right now, there isn't any but they are working on adding some indoor and outdoor seating. Beautifully decorated, all in white. This place took over the spot that used to be a Chinese takeout place. Parking: Plenty that is shared with the supermarket and a few other stores. Final note: The menu looks super yummy and the chef is so nice! Looking forward to coming back and trying some more of her dishes!

    Egg waffle with fresh strawberries

What a wonderful addition to this neighborhood. I love how the menu offers flavors from around the world! So many great items to choose from. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Craving some type of Asian? Indian? Greek? They have it. This is such a great idea considering the lack of options in Fresh Meadows. When I came in and looked at the menu I had a hard time deciding bc everything looked and sounded so good. But being Filipino I had to try their lumpia and I must say it is legit good! It tasted very fresh. The owner told me that the recipe is from her best friend who is Filipino. No wonder why! :) I also ordered the Lamb Pita and the Egg waffle with strawberries . The lamb pita was DELICIOUS. It's made to order. So fresh, great texture with a bit of some crunch inside. The lamb meatballs were perfectly seasoned. I noticed she even pulled some fresh herbs from her plants to add in the pita. How great is that? I love how the pita bread was thin. Most other places use the thick bread to compensate for little filling. But here- it was filled and full of delicious flavors. I kept saying Mmmm this is so good. Lol. The egg waffle was freshly made. Perfect amount of sweetness, good amount of strawberries. My kids devoured it! To drink I had the orange blossom chia iced tea. Very refreshing and healthy! We will definitely be coming again and I can't wait to try all the things on the menu. I hope they stay here and prosper, this place is a gem.

Very nice quaint cafe that I recently discovered in the Fresh Meadows area. Has a large amount of items, and none of them leave a bad taste in your mouth. Hawaiian Chia Bowl is absolutely refreshing, and I haven't had a bad drink from them either. I'll be visiting this place often for light and refreshing food, something that I feel was well needed in this area.

Cute little healthy spot to grab breakfast/lunch! I got a Tso's chicken bowl, fruit salad, unsweetened tropical iced tea (?) and a cookie!!! The Tso's chicken bowl has brown rice, chicken with tso sauce, avocado, mango, ginger, red pepper, edamame, scallions, and sesame. It was good but I ate the mango separately.. I wish it had some other veggies but I got what I chose so ‍ Anyway, it was filling. I didnt get to try other ones but I LOVE that they have various kinds of food because I always want different cuisines. Also, everything is pretty cheap so that's a plus. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu!

Blueberry Healthful Muffin. Tastes healthy and delicious! (I ate some before I took the picture)

The staff ( maybe an owner?) wasn't very friendly or nice. The small iced coffee cost more than at Starbucks. Not worth it.

The breakfast croissants are made daily and they do not disappoint. They're buttery, flaky and depending on which one you get, so cheesy! I'm also a sucker for the brownies and cookies because who wouldn't be?! The service is absolutely amazing and always so welcoming when I stop by. I can't say enough good things about The Avenue Cafe!

Jamaica Ave is known to locals of Jamaica Queens as "The Ave" so I thought that naming this place "The Avenue Cafe" was a really nice touch. The Avenue Cafe is definitely a hidden gem. I believe the small number of reviews is primarily due to its location. Tucked away in a food court which could only be accessed through an alley on Jamaica Ave or a side street (160th St), this cafe was not easy to find. Although the food court it is located in is no-frills, The Avenue Cafe actually put effort in establishing an inviting aesthetic that made me feel no different than if I were walking in my usual cafes in the city and I really liked that. The staff were courteous and they make your order quick! Best of all, they take card and Apple Pay (I didn't have cash on me that day and I was aware that just about every stall in that food court is Cash-Only). I only had their cold brew thus far but I'll absolutely be back to try the other items on the menu.
