Despite this, they showed up with a truck that was not large enough to fit all of our furniture and items. This caused us to have to make a second trip in which we had to leave even more behind than we anticipated. They damaged a few pieces of furniture (including our couch and dining room chairs,) they scratched the floors moving out of our old residence, and they damaged a wall moving into our new residence. Management has failed to adequately address the situation despite promising they would multiple times now. If you are looking to move in the SF Bay Area, I would not suggest using Truket.

The guys that loaded me up and unleaded the stuff were all fantastic people. Eduardo and his wife are super sweet and great to talk to. But, that does not a business make. Eduardo needs a manager until he is ready. As a fledgling business I wanted to give him my business, because he is young, hope-filled, and very conscious of his customer's needs. Still there were so many problems. HOWEVER, he got most of my stuff where it was supposed to be in one piece. And that counts for a lot. - He is not insured. - I specifically said I wanted my stuff in an enclosed truck and it arrived piled (yes, piled like a clown car) on the back of his pickup. If it rained... there would have been no way. - 8:30 time to show up, got started somewhere around 11 and finished about 2pm putting us 4 hours behind schedule - Was supposed to be delivered the next morning, arrived midnight the next day. - All ... ALL of our lamp shades were missing. They were old and in great condition and classic for the beautiful maps we have... (sigh) - would not answer any of the 3 texts I sent him in the following days as he and his wife remained in Las Vegas. Only showed up 5 days later to get his moving blankets and only came when I was not home. I was rooting for him whole heartedly. I tipped well. I wanted him to shine. But, it was not great. Not bad. They were with done packing, disassembling and re-assembling, and moving all within 3 hours. They were late by an hour, but there was rain so it was understandable. They wasted little time once they arrived and all of our stuff arrived in one piece. It might help out if you speak Mandarin. My roommate who is not a Mandarin speaker had trouble communicating with them. But he mostly had to point where stuff needs to go, so language barrier hardly mattered. I did give them a 72% tip, since it was raining the entire move. However, even after the tip, they are still cheaper than most other places who quoted me. They quote half the price others did for per hour rate. I am very satisfied with their service. Will definitely consider using them on my next move.

The movers did not have any spatial intelligence and had no idea how to turn large furniture around corners or tight spaces and will try to squeeze your stuff in without caring about whether it scratches/breaks/tears on the sides; all the while constantly bickering with each other loudly in Mandarin about how the other one is not doing a good job. It would have been hilarious if it weren't for my stuff being ripped apart due to their incompetence. Here's the complete story:- Two people showed up with a big truck 30 mins prior to the appointment time and told me that they are a busy company so I will have to start early. Fair enough... The first thing they moved was my coffee table, which was wrapped in two thin layers of plastic (yep); it was picked up by one person using the foot of the table as he hobbled down the stairs. I had to ask him if he needed my help in holding it up and he told me that I need not worry. The table somehow made its way to the truck. Oh and they had those huge blankets in the truck. You know...the ones that you use to move stuff with to ensure nothing breaks/cracks/rips/tears? I guess it wasn't needed for glass... Next; they wrapped my couch with the same plastic and tried to make their way out of the door. I told them they would need to unscrew the ceiling lamp to be able to fit the couch vertically through the door. I was again told to not worry. After struggling for sometime they realized they have to unscrew the ceiling lamp to get the couch out. *facepalm* At this point, I was already a bit anxious about letting them handle my expensive couch and told them to get more blankets to wrap the parts of the couch that were exposed. "Don't worry it is okay". They promptly went on to scratch the armrest of the couch against the side of the stairs and ripped a hole in the bottom of my couch. When my girlfriend asked them to stop, they continued bickering with each other loudly, continued to push the couch through and completely ignored her. Sorry to call this out, but there was a certain lack of respect towards women from the crew and it showed in the way they were responding to my girlfriend. We had to shout at them to get them to keep the couch down. At this point I was certain that they were incapable of handling this and called their manager to complain about the ripped couch. After a few back and forth calls between them, their manager told me that the couch ALREADY had the hole and they did not rip it! When I confronted the guys, they pretended to not understand what I was trying to tell them. Instead, one guy told me: "You are a man, not a woman, why you care about small hole in couch!?" I had to ask them to leave before any further damage was caused.

I ask for a call or text when they're on their way (because I couldn't just wait around for them for two hours), and then they call once they're at the home. So I fly up to the house to meet them in less than 15 minutes to find they left to take their lunch break without any communication. When they did finally show up, they spent the entire 50 mins of work whining and complaining about the weight of my furniture and the tight packing of my POD (that was completed by real professionals). Repeatedly asked me if there was anything glass or breakable in boxes so they could just apathetically toss stuff around and carelessly arrange it. They wanted to claim they'd cut me a deal for my future moving needs, but that is such a laughable prospect, I couldn't even bring myself to acknowledge such a ridiculous suggestion.
