Just a quick update on trying a new cake flavor. Passion fruit guava strawberry is not my cup of tea. Too much cream and a tad too sweet for me. Service and delivery is consistently good. I still like the black sesame blueberry hojicha the most.

I preordered these cupcakes for super bowl Sunday on wednesday and they were super fast with a response. The cupcakes are delicious. Not too sweet and the mini cupcake size is perfect. The inside is perfectly moist and the cream is super fluffy. This tray of cupcakes came out to $153 which i think is on the pricer side but definitely really delicious

I ordered the 6" hojicha black sesame blueberry cake. Communication was smooth. I was sent a text reminder an hour before my pick up time. I arrived early, but she arrived early as well. The cake was carefully packed, and it survived my trip home + to the venue. It also fits in the Trader Joe's insulated bag w/ice if anyone is wondering how to transport it. I can actually taste the nutty flavor + the cake is moist and soft so I actually ate a bigger slice than I intended to. I got the cake for my fiancés birthday, but we're basically using his birthday as an excuse for me to try out this cake LOL. I'm pretty sure I could eat half of this cake easily. However, I purposely got this 6" because I've always had leftovers cake before and I didn't want to waste them.

This second order a year later, poor text choice and the text is partially hidden by decor.

My initial ordering experience was great with MCourse, but a year later was not so great. We had a 5 star experience last year for our pups birthday, the packaging and flavors were absolutely spot on. Along with the key reason we ordered-- having a customizable topper. Now, more recently my second not so much. I know I asked for an earlier pickup but would have just appreciated the communication earlier about the topper. Her printer broke down and was unable to print the image on the cupcake-- which was a big part of the celebration for our friend. That's understandable but she did not ask any follow-up questions on the text printing for a topper or give an option for design, to say the least it is disappointing. I wish there was a better font and design choice for the topper esp with the last minute change. Some of the font is covered. She did refund the cost which was appreciated, but I'd rather pay more to have the right topper request or some other options. We had a 5 star experience last year, so just adjusting down a star given the printer mishap. Pickup was smooth.

I found M Course through Yelp, since I was searching for a place that offers vegan and gluten free desserts since some of our party guests have allergies. I decided to reach out for a quote for a customized frosting strawberry shortcake buttercream cake and their ube ube vegan and gluten free cupcakes. Megan was easy to work with and responded within a few days after I sent my request. I sent photos of the color scheme/party theme I was going for for the cake and included that I would need delivery. We sent some emails back and forth confirming the details, delivery timeframe, etc. She accepts payment via Paypal, Zelle, and Venmo. Her payment details are in her email signature. She offers delivery service (price may depend on how far you are; it was $10 for me), or local pick up at 10am or 3pm. Her cake prices are reasonable compared to many other places I've gotten quotes from. Come the day of the party -- I received a text message that the cake and cupcakes were dropped off at the venue. The cake and cupcakes were delivered without any issues. Everyone enjoyed both the cake and cupcakes! The cakes were moist and not too sweet! I am so glad I found M Course through Yelp and look forward to working with them again for any future events!

Hojicha black sesame blueberry regular 6" fresh cream cake

Few places offer cakes with black sesame (which my mom loves) as a component and I'm so glad I found this by accident because the hojicha cake with black sesame and blueberry that I ordered was phenomenal! The flavors go surprisingly well together. The cake itself was dense and a little more moist but solid, and each of the flavors shone through clearly. We will definitely be purchasing the other unique flavors to try out in the future. I hope they continue baking these wonderful treats! As for ordering - I contacted them through the website about picking up a cake on a specific date and received an email with instructions and pickup options (10 am or 3 pm at a specific location). Payment can be sent through Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal 2-5 days in advance, and pickup was very smooth as well - I was sent a reminder an hour before and the make/model of the car they'd be arriving in and could provide my info as well so they'd locate me easily. I got there earlier and they basically just parked and handed me the cake quickly!

I love the Pandan Mango cake! I ordered the 8 inch to congratulate my boyfriend and was able the order the day before. Everyone enjoyed it! To order you go on the website and email them your info and they will get back to you shortly. But I would advise to order in advance just so you can get a time slot for pick up! Overall, great service and cake was moist and flavorful, it was not too sweet which is something I look for in cake but flavorful!

I put in an inquiry on the cream puffs since I read such great reviews on them, but sadly they are not being offered anymore. My request was responded to the very next day. Their website had all pertinent information such as size, price, flavor, product such as fresh cream cakes, buttercream cakes, and cupcakes. If you have dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or if you want your dessert egg-less, they can make it happen. I don't know if I've tried ube but I know my sister likes it very much. Her birthday was yesterday but had plans so I ordered for pickup today so I can drop it off for her. There are 2 pickup time slots. They will wait approx. 15 min. before driving off. I was late because I got the time mixed up. I was able to contact them via email and was so grateful it was responded to right away. They were able to return w/in 20 min. otherwise I could would have needed to opted for the 3PM pickup window. They were so sweet, and I felt so bad for being 5 min. late. I got to the pickup location at 10:19AM. The pickup time is at 10AM. Though I did not get to try the cake, the cake itself was beautiful and carefully packaged. My sister and my mom complimented the cake for not being too sweet. It was light, too. It looked really delicious. I will have to wait till they offer all chocolate buttercream cakes or all chocolate fresh cream cakes. I am not a fruit person, but I was so glad that I was able to find this place on Yelp. Thanks to my Yelp friends for the wonderful reviews otherwise I would have passed on it. Thank you, Mia and Megan!!! I'm sorry again for having you turn around today.

The two ladies who run this shop are so sweet (hah!) The 6 inch cakes are super tall and more filling than I expect, so it usually feeds our party of 6-8 just fine and with leftovers! The cakes are delicious, with my only complaint being that sometimes they're just a tad too sweet, usually due to the fruit curd/jam, or a little too rich like with the chocolate cake, but that might be a personal preference. I'm rounding up from a 4.5 to a 5 because the order/pickup process as well as the presentation of the cake is just so easy. You submit an order on their website, they email you back pretty promptly with questions and an invoice, you confirm your pickup time, pay, and then you go pick it up at the location they specify in their email! It's a park with decent amount of parking but you're in and out quick. Would definitely order again!

Light and delicious! I first ordered a bunch of mini cupcakes for my daughters' 100 day celebration and loved their guava flavor the most. Very moist, fruity, light, and the perfect bites. They have seasonal specials for a very limited time. This year for thanksgiving, they made the cutest mini pies that I couldn't resist or miss! They were actually pretty big. Order of sweetness by my palate: Banana cream pie with toffee and caramel -- thought this was super light, even the banana flavor. The crunchy topping was a nice touch! Pumpkin pie -- also not sweet at all. Cheesecake -- lightly sweet and creamy Bourbon pecan pie -- definitely the sweetest (too sweet for me) Pickup was a breeze. They set a pick up time and wait 15 min max for you. Will order again!

I've had 3 birthday cakes from MCourse. They make my fave cakes and will continue to order for all my bdays! I've gotten a matcha strawberry black sesame ( sad they don't have that anymore), a passion fruit guava, and an Earl grey one. I actually don't enjoy other cakes from anywhere else.

It's only the beginning of March, and I've already tried three different cakes made by MCourse! For not being a dessert gal, I've thoroughly enjoyed all the cakes I've had the pleasure of trying so far. The sizes of the buttercream cakes may look smaller than expected, but don't be fooled by how filling it is given its several layers. The cakes are perfectly sweetened where it's delicious and not overwhelming, I know your Asian mama will appreciate it. Thai Tea Cake - My surprise birthday cake. If you're a fan of Thai tea, this IS THE CAKE FOR YOU. It isn't too sweet like the drink, and the thai tea flavor is actually present. Please don't hesitate to order this cake if you're thinking about it! So goooood for the thai tea lover! I want more. Earl Grey Cake with Lemon (2 layer Fresh Cream Cake) - Two layers since fresh cream doesn't hold up like buttercream would. Buttercream isn't for everyone, so I highly recommend this alternative which we got for our mama's birthday. The cake was was light, but flavorful, refreshing, everybody went back for thirds. On some bites, the lemon overpowered the earl grey, but that's why you go for seconds. Blueberry Lemon Lavender - Despite this being the buttercream vs the fresh cream, it was still a refreshing cake. The lavender is in the buttercream, so it's subtle but it definitely comes through in each bite. The blueberry jam component gives the cake that flavor punch, while complementing the lemon and lavender. Still good after two days! Cream puffs are loaded, either eat them sooner than later, or make sure you store it well. Once I had it two days later, and it was still fresh and tasty. I like the matcha and ube flavors. Please give this place a try, there are so many options, there has to be something appealing! The owners are also super sweet and friendly, local pick-up was easy. Next time I am going for black sesame cake! read more

Mochifins are so good, I got mango and pineapples for this time. I really want to try matcha flavor but they are not available since early this year. But I'm so happy I ordered mango and pineapple! I wish I had read Anna S's tips throughly . Buttercream is definitely not for everyone . even the buttercream was not that sweet, it was way to hearty for my family . if you like buttercream a lot , this cake remind us of nothing bundt cake low sugar version . It's very light , but way buttery for us . Next time we would like to try the regular cream type of cake . Super stars for the cake design and for Megan and Mia . Ordering and pickup went super smoothly, and the cake was delicious! We got the passionfruit guava and strawberry flavor - the whipped cream is passionfruit flavored (and super good if you're a passionfruit fan), the guava was in a purée layer between two of the lower tiers, and there were chopped strawberries in the cream + on top of the cake. I came across MCourse on Instagram, and had to try to their cream puffs!! Megan was very responsive and helpful during the whole ordering process, she kindly answered all my questions. I ordered some cream puffs, mochifins, and strawberry shortcake mini cupcakes. The cream puffs were a big hit! So creamy and flavorful. I also loved the cupcakes. They were light and fluffy! Mindy and Megan are amazing. I brought these specialty desserts to the office for a special occasion and got RAVE reviews. They are responsive and so accommodating. Btw this is a WOMEN OWNED business. These desserts are also visually stunning and make a statement to impress. This will be my go-to place for special occasions. If you are not seriously into super sweet desserts and love mochi - you HAVE to try the mochi fin. My coworker said it's the best thing she has eaten in a LOOONG time. read more

I stumbled upon their photos on instagram and thought to give it a try. I placed the order and scheduled a pick up time via IG. It was quick and easy. I got the minimum order of 4 mochifins and 4 cream puffs. The mochi muffins were exactly what you expected. Mochi in a muffin!! I love everything with mochi, so this was like heaven to me. The cream puffs were giants and filled with cream custards!! They had the right amount of sweetness. I only wish that I can order less because I had to eat some leftover ones and they didn't taste the same. read more

Ordered 8 dozen mini cupcakes for a baby shower of 100 guests and they were perfect. Opted for mini so people could try more flavors and they were the perfect size! They smelled amazing and the frosting was not your typical buttercream, it was like whipped frosting which is fluffy and soft and absolutely delicious. The fruit and fruit fillings also tasted fresh. We barely had any leftovers so safe to say, they were a hit. Would definitely order again. read more

Ordered an all black vegan birthday cake from them and they were so sweet and diligent to get it completed. These cakes are very sensitive, though so on the way home I must have taken a turn or two too sharp and it broke. Thankfully they were so nice and repaired the cake for me promptly. The cake tasted so good I was actually skeptical it was a vegan cake! 10/10 my friends and I will be ordering from them for our upcoming events!! read more

These ladies did it again!! This is the 3rd cake we ordered from them and they just keep getting better n better! They made a beautiful black sesame and matcha cake with little fluffy ghost decorations and it was AMAZING!! They also dropped off some burnt almond cupcakes which were excellent! MCourse reached out after my initial review and apologized for the delay in getting back to customers and worked with me to take the order. We went with a custom cake with vanilla and mango butter cream cake. Overall 7/10 - the cake tasted great, very moist like homemade cake, and the mango filling is delicious. The butter cream is not at all sweet like many other bakeries but there is just too much buttercream in ratio to cake. Taking off points as the cake design and art is not on point as it is on their Instagram page. We went with a beach ball themed cake for a first birthday and the beach balls were sloppily colored and there was barely much sand, I had to make graham cracker powder to add it on top to improve the appeal. read more

Based on reviews and their website pictures of their tres leches cake, I ordered a tres leches cake and 4 cream puffs. The tres leches cake was probably the best cake I've ever eaten (I've also tried tres leches at various places including Whole Foods and various cakes at various bakeries), and for a reasonable price. Not too sweet, perfectly done. The cream puffs were also all yummy. read more

I placed an order for a dozen of their creampuffs yesterday and picked them up today. Each of the flavors were nice and subtle. The ube and pandan flavor were the best I've had. The pick up was outside and they were accommodating of my last minute order. read more
