Vahideh and Fariba talk to you condescendingly trying to tell you that you don't understand and what you see is wrong and we tell you is right. You have to rob a back before you go there for a very poor service. Going inside the procedure room and leaving there doesn't take more than 2 minutes. For that 2 minutes they overcharge you. They ask your opinion about the service and as soon as start complaining, they try to convince you that you are wrong and what you see on your body is not hair or it is less than what you have had. But of course you know that it is not true. I spent $2000. with minimum satisfaction plus being talked condescendingly. read more

My daughters and I have received highly professional, kind service and I'm now HAIR FREE, yeah. After years of waxing and sugaring, I have permanently lost my leg, underarm, and upper lip hairs. Package prices are reasonable. The salon is clinic-like clean, with serious, yet sweet estheticians. Consider laser early -- say in your twenties or thirties, as once the white hairs start to grow, you will need electrolysis in addition to laser to get fully hair free. The ladies who work there are kind, helpful, and attentive, absolutely the type of people that I want to go to for these procedures. The women who work here are extremely judgmental. They walk around the tiny cramped office giving the clients dirty looks and side glances. I always hear them speaking another language to each other. (Arabic maybe? I'm not sure.) I heard the owner on multiple occasions tell sob stories about her life in order to finalize a sale with the customers. (Classic con artist move). Their lasers on the other hand show 0 results. I've had multiple treatments at this "laser center" and I've yet to see a single result. Save your money and go somewhere else. I have been quite pleased with the service at McLean Laser Center. Prior, I went to a place in downtown DC near my office (found via Groupon). It was cramped and used an older laser. I've never had to wait at MLC (a personal pet peeve), the staff is friendly, and the results have been fantastic. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I sometimes have difficulty finding and appointment time that works, but to me this shows high demand and satisfied clients. So far, the staff has been willing to work with me to find suitable times for my busy schedule though. read more

Everyone was really nice. The only reason I didn't give this a higher star is because one time I was getting the laser hair removal treatment on my underarms and the owner (I believe Vahideh) was in the room and what appeared was she was showing a new girl how to work everything and she was rubbing so hard against my armpit that it stung all the way to my fingertips. I have done hair removal before but this is the only time that it hurt a lot and I think because she was doing it too quickly and pushing down really hard. I have gone 6 times for underarms and the hair is still coming back. Of course, this depends on your body. I do like how they have two different types of machines so you can choose which you prefer. read more

I initially bought the groupon for a microdermabrasion facial- which I had been wanting to try for quite some time. My friend and I both went the first time and loved the difference it made and the advice that Farzi gave to us! We both ended up buying 2 additional treatments (at least so far!). I want to start by saying that I hesitate to ever write bad reviews on yelp unless I feel very strongly about the service I've received. I would NOT recommend McLean Laser Center nor will I go back. In my opinion, Vahideh and her assistant that works the desk/answers the phone are often rude, abrupt, and unprofessional. What got me was EVERY time I went in, she would ask if I've been in the sun because I looked "darker." I would say no. One time, she actually said to me: "But aren't you Lebanese? Lebanese people are usually much lighter." I was appalled, but simply answered: "Well, I've always been darker." Their hours are completely inconvenient for working people. No appointments after 3:30 pm during the week, and weekends fill up VERY quickly so it's hard to get the day you want EVEN when you book 6 weeks in advance for your NEXT appointment. I would go through this EVERY single time with her assistant when making an appointment. I often had to book 7-8 weeks later for my next 6 week appointment. I stuck with it though because I wanted to finish my treatments that I paid for. But when I got dark spots on my neck and under arm, I finally called it quits and told her to forget about the last session and basically keep the money. I went there because I also purchased a Groupon for Laser treatment for "the entire face" but was then told it would only cover three areas- chin, upper lip, the sides of my face. To do my side burns or beneath my chin would be an additional cost. Fine. So I purchased that. Then Vahideh sold me on underarms. Fine. I purchased that. So yes, up selling definitely happens. Even that is fine. That's what people do when they have a business. But the insults, rudeness, and dark spots I can do without. There are better laser places out there. read more

I have to agree 100% with Farrah K. when she says she was bothered by the repetitive questioning at each appointment and slightly insulting upselling. I believe that the statements made by V--- were just plain false and were an attempt to get me to commit more money. For example, she said "The hair on the back of your legs is very dark and will need many treatments- probably a total of eight. Or more." HUH? As a matter of fact, after two treatments the hair is almost gone! So, the effects were good, but I would not go back because she was a pain to listen to and made me feel bad. I probably need two more treatments on my legs to be satisfied but I will find someplace else. If it were not for her repetitive questions and pushiness she would have had a very good customer because I want to have other areas done, also. One more thing: before my second appointment I was made to wait while two middle-aged Middle Eastern men, who had come in and out of the waiting room a few times, went in to look at her room for some reason. They closed the door and were in there about five minutes. They made it clear they were giving the small waiting room and its occupants the 'once-over' each time they entered. I started my laser hair removal sessions in August 2015 and I have to say I've wasted about $2500. I was told I only needed 6 sessions and promised that 80% of the hair would be gone. After the 6th session, there were no results. They told me I should do 3 more sessions and I will see results. I've done 8 sessions and now the hair grows more than before and in areas I never grew hair in. To top it off, she cancels your appointments a couple of hours before you come in and after I've already made arrangements with my job to leave early. And when I call or text, I get ignored or get sent to the voicemail box. This is completely unacceptable and I don't recommend this for anyone! The only thing good about it is the price, but honestly, it's a waste of money. I'd rather spend a couple more hundred dollars at another place where I'll actually see results and good customer service. I highly recommend you go to an ACTUAL laser center where you will actually receive reliable service and results. read more

Bad bad experience- I brought a groupon for microdermabrasion and one G. Collin spa facial but I did not get what I paid for. Ridiculous experience with Farsi. here's what had happened, first; she removed my make up and putt dried my face and used the microdermabrasion machine for one stroke not even entirely on my face, as I close my eyes there pondering and hoping it will go better but it was worst. She pretended massaging my hair and rubbed my shoulders instead of masaging it. Then she put the mask and came back for a few minutes and wiped it off - not even sure if it was clean actually. While she was doing that I asked because I had the feeling that was it. And she said No so I took a deep breath thinking Good! because seriously I was expecting her to spend more time on the microdermabrasion or masaging but honestly that was really it. She put the cream on and said I'm was done. As I was putting my clothes on she went out and talked to the front lady, that's probably the owner. I went outside and tried to talk to the owner my she's defending her staff. Did not even dare to care that I was unhappy and unsatisfied with their service. Very pooooor customer service. I was thinking to do the skin tightening but not anymore. read more

I first went to McLean Laser Center when I bought a Groupon a little over a year ago. The Groupon was only for three laser hair removal treatments, but I've been so happy with the results that I've stuck with them ever since. The hair has diminished considerably, and I see better and better results with each treatment. I usually see Ava when I go, and she is always really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I was planning for my wedding last year, she even helped advise me about scheduling my treatments before the wedding and taking care of my skin on my honeymoon. I've also worked with Vahideh several times, and she has also been pleasant, helpful, and professional. The only thing I would wish is that they would have longer hours so it would be easier for me to get there after work, but they are great about planning appointments well in advance (and confirming them when the date gets close!) so I can find weekend appointments. I was very nervous about laser treatment when I started, but McLean Laser Center has been a great experience. read more

I was wary of going to a laser hair removal place that wasn't affiliated with a doctor's office. Especially because the prices seemed so low that I was worried they were too good to be true. However, all of my worries were for naught. I feel that they have been very honest about the procedures, easy to work with, and very professional. The prices are very good. The treatment has been effective. (I am having my underarms done.) I do not give it five stars because I am not a huge fan of the treatment room itself and because they do not offer numbing creams or sprays. The first treatment was VERY painful. For the second treatment I purchased a numbing spray from Sally's and it was much more tolerable. I do not think it affected the treatment, but you may want to talk to them before using something similar. My only other complaint is that I never find parking in front of the building and have to park (against the rules) next door. read more
