This place is legit! I previously had my first treatment at a place in Annandale and did not know how a Laser paramedical spa should carry themselves. A year later, I came here and realized THIS is how things should be done. Front desk explained EVERY SINGLE STEP and provided a long description of what we should feel, expect, and precautions we should take to ensure our face healed properly. Any question we had, our technician answered professionally and also showed compassion in regards of the pain level and discomfort. I'm so happy with my results!!! Laser Tysons is a hidden gym! I don't know why I waited so long to try it out! I went in to try their micro-current body sculpting + body wrap, along with laser treatment on my lower leg. Unlike other body sculpting services of heat/cold therapy, Laser Tysons uses a micro-current machine that works 1000x better! I got the sculpting for my midsection since it's been so stubborn to lose any inches there... and it was an intense workout for my abs!!! The machine went thru four layers -- the top skin layer, cellulite layer, fat/lipid layer and then the muscular level. You can see results after your first session! I was shocked... I came in skeptical because I had a hard time seeing any ab/oblique definition, but seeing a before/after pic of the session, I'm a firm believer of this treatment. It gave me extra motivation to keep up with my gym regime and nutrition. I can see it giving a boost/jump start to people who aren't seeing a big physical difference on their bodies or even those who are regular gym-goers to enhance their bodies. And if you want your skin to feel even tighter and firmer, the body wrap is perfect after the sculpting. Tina also removed the lower leg hair I had. I had laser removal treatments done a long time ago and this treatment was painless! I recall it being so painful back then... whatever machine they use here is magical. Wish I had waited and did all my hair removals here. A young lady had her eyelashes lifted with a tint when I was here. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! I wasted $115 of my hard earned and saved money to get what they told me was laser hair removal. They repeatedly lied in their advertisements, and in their communications in person, that I was paying for laser hair removal. I was upset to find out after the fact (after some research on my own) that the machine they use is not a laser, it's a Kona Radiancy which is a much cheaper and less effective technology. I have lamented my sparse eyebrows my whole life. A friend suggested microblading, which I'd never heard of. I did a bit of research and came upon this spa. It's different than getting eyebrow tattoos, which always looks weird to me. Tiny little needles create individual looking hairs--which apparently last between 1-3 yrs. The end result is much more natural looking. It's kind of expensive, but in the end, I think it was worth every penny! The technician was very professional. She made sure to understand exactly what I wanted (not too dramatic, as natural as possible, etc.) In one visit, I have gorgeous brows!!! Now have to find something new to complain about. read more

I bought the electrolysis package for 6 sessions and paid for one before I bought the package. I received 15 minutes of electrolysis each visit for 6 months. There was no change at all. There hair came back every 2 to 3 weeks. This was a total waste of time. I do not recommend electrolysis and I won't be going back for the last session since it's not working. read more

Sometimes I buy groupons on a spur of the moment opportunity based on a brief yelp review search. I am typically very wary of some of the things that are offered that "improve your skin". I am 40, laugh and smile a lot, and have loved the sun all my life; therefore, I have some wrinkles around my eyes, forehead, and mouth. I was getting ready for a big event so I decided to try the non-surgical facelift. I am so glad I did! Even though I waited until my groupon was almost expired the manager, Amy, tried very hard to get me an appointment and work around my limiting work schedule. She was so sweet and kind I can't say enough good things about her. The procedure was explained to me and all of my questions were answered putting me at ease. My best ability to explain the procedure was what feels like electrical pulses delivered through patches attached to different areas of my face (I got the full facial treatment). The first time I did it the pulses were a bit weaker and the worst that happened was it bothered the fillings in my teeth a little bit. I really liked the results. It gave me a more youthful, fresher skin tone. I signed up for a second session in conjunction with an exfoliation. The second time the pulses were a bit stronger but still bearable, and let's face it, women will do crazy things to preserve our youthfulness. It was totally worth it to me. I found them on Groupon and the reason why I purchased was because of the great reviews they have on here. And since it was my first time getting eyelash extensions I wanted to try it out first before committing to them. I totally would've come back here if it had been a good experience but sadly, my experience was less than pleasant. I called them to make an appointment for a half set of eyelash extensions. She booked me for 1pm this past Saturday and told me that it'll take an hour to an hour and a half. I had an event to go to that day so I said that was fine. I got there at 1pm, the front desk was a mess and no one was there. I could hear her in one of the back rooms so I figured maybe she's just by herself, I'll just wait. She came out 20 minutes later and had me fill out some paperwork. 10 minutes passed and there was another person there so I don't understand why I had to wait about half an hour. She finally led me to the back room for a consultation and explained to me the difference between a half set and a full set. I told her it was my first time doing the extensions and I was just curious which is why I purchased half a set. Now, JUST BECAUSE it's my first time doesn't mean I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I did my research before deciding to do these so I've read up on eyelash extensions beforehand. She went on and said that full set would be much better than half set and that I could get 75% off to upgrade to full set. Ok, fine, she sold me on that one. I said that was fine I'll upgrade and pay for that. She then added that they had other services like chemical peel and microdermabrasion and even commented on my dry skin that it'd be good for me to get it. I didn't like that she was pushing me to get other services when I only came in for the eyelash extensions. She also said that for the full set, she really takes her time with it so that it looks really nice. I was already irritated. First because I wasn't seen right at 1pm and waited half an hour and second, because she was trying to push me to buy other stuff. Just because I purchased through Groupon doesn't mean you can rip me off and treat me any different than a regular customer. I'm a paying customer as well. And I'm not an idiot. I was already pressed for time so I said I'll just come back. She then went on and said that the 75% off is only good during the consultation so I can just go ahead and pay them and reschedule my session. Um, no. I work a lot and I'm going out of town. I don't have the time which is why I called first to make an appointment this past weekend! If I had known my experience would turn out like this, I would've gone somewhere else! The icing on the cake was...she offered to come in on Sunday even though they were closed. Sweet seemingly...but when I told her that I have a busy schedule (she asked me what hours I worked at my two jobs to see if they can squeeze time in between) and I told her I know it will take an hour or two. She THEN backtracked and said "wellll it's not going to take an hour, the only reason I said an hour and a half over the phone is because including the consultation. It's really only going to take half an hour." I looked at other places and their websites and it all said it takes about an hour to two. Who are you kidding here? First, she said she'll take her time so it looks nice and then she says it'll take about half an hour only. I was very skeptical about laser treatments prior to coming to Tysons Laser (either concerned about being burned or just lack of results) but they have by far exceeded my expectations. The place itself is very clean and professional. The staff is helpful and the three technicians I have worked with were extremely informative. Most recently I've been seeing Tina, who is very knowledgeable and will alleviate any concerns you might have. I purchased a package of LASER HAIR REMOVAL underarm treatments and a package of Brazilian treatments. I saw results from my underarm treatment after my first appointment and have only had to have a few follow up sessions to maintain my results. The Brazilian took a few more treatments to see full results, however this was to be expected as hair removal in that area is harder. I went to Laser Tysons for a full set of eyelash extensions. I showed up and no one was at the office, the front door was locked. They showed up 10 minutes after my appointment time and handed me three pages of paperwork to fill out. After already being so late? No thanks, I showed up early in case this was required. My service was done by someone who did not speak English. Nothing wrong with this, it just makes it hard to communicate my expectations of the lash extensions. She was very rough, the application hurt, and she was pulling my eyelids up and opening my eyes throughout the process, exposing my eyes to the burning glue they use. I showed her a picture at the beginning of what I wanted my lashes to look like. When she was done my lashes were rock hard, you couldn't get a lash comb through them they were so caked with glue. It hurt to shut my eyelids!!! I called the next day and the woman argued with me about how I didn't say anything when I left the salon. Honestly, I just wanted out of there. She spent the entire time trying to sell me extra services. I will not go back. I also now have to find someone to safely remove these lashes and excess glue so my eyes don't hurt anymore. I had my initial reservations about receiving IPL again after receiving a treatment in Okinawa, and having no real results. Research showed me what I should have seen as a result, and I had none of the after effects. I believe that the laser they used was too low, and in that case I was not willing I spend the money again. However, I came across this as a Groupon and thought I'd give it a second chance. I am very pleased that I did. Amy and her staff were very professional, and after bombarding them with numerous questions during my initial consultation, I had a good feeling. Even though I didn't have an appt. set up for that day, they were still happy to work to fit me in since I had driven 1 1/2 hours to get there, saving me time and gas as well. After the treatment I have had no negative effects from it. I have seen the results I am supposed too after only a few days, with the melanin having broken up and leaving my body. I am very pleased with the microdermabrasion and IPL treatments on my face mostly. My skin looks better and my pores have definielty and noticeably shrunk, just as Amy said they would. Update- I did not get my money back and gave them a second chance. When I went back they were concerned about my satisfaction. They really tried to make things right. I had two IPL treatments, the second one with a microdermabrasion pretreatment. The treatments were well tolerated but not enough time has passed to assess longer-term improvement in my skin. If I see benefits, I would return. I have to wonder why these ratings are so high. I brought a living social deal, and went in for a consultation. I was advised that the service I selected was ok for my skin type and she marked my living social as REDEEMED. (It was explained that I was booked with enough time to get the treatment after the consultation.) Then I got a HARD upsell for other services, balked, and was then told I had to come back for the treatment because I needed to wait 4 weeks after my last chemical peel. Never mentioned that before. (I assume this is a second chance at pressuring me into more services.) We agreed on a date/time and later get an email with a different date and time. Given the lack of spa amenities, communication skills, and services I had to wonder about all these 5-star ratings. There is a sign in the office that advertises if you "like" them on Facebook and review them on Yelp (or other) platforms, you got a discount on services. Finally, I overheard a worker explain to a client that if she paid cash they do not charge sales tax! Is that legal? I hope that I can get my $ back from Living Social or my credit card company. Caveat emptor. On the plus side, there is free parking, the treatment room appeared clean and the technician seemed sweet despite the hard sell. read more
