As someone who has been waxing for several years, I am so happy I decided to come to Softtouch Laser. I've completed 5 Brazilian sessions so far and noticed a significant reduction in hair growth to the point where I only shave once a month right before my next session. The amount of hair that still grows is very minimal and thin -- I'm sure a few more sessions will take care of these more stubborn areas. In my opinion, I find laser hair reduction to be much less painful than waxing! The needle-pricking sensation is quick and does not feel like a lingering pain as I have noticed with waxing. I have not experienced any sensitivity nor negative skin reactions after the treatments but, of course, every body is different. I've been going to Softtouch Laser for 7 months now, I've completed 5 sessions of full body laser hair removal, and I am extremely happy with my results. Even after the first session the hair was noticeably reduced, and at this point more than half the hair is gone (FOREVER!). Anu is so easygoing and great to talk to. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable during the treatment (cools the skin with a fan, then puts cooling gel on, and makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire treatment). As far as pain goes, this was the part I was most nervous about, as I have a low pain tolerance. I honestly barely feel the laser with all the steps she takes to make it comfortable. If the laser is too strong, she will lower the power for you, so don't let fear of pain stop you from going! It was seriously a waste of time driving all the way out fairfax for 5 mins. I've been having issues with my pores and black heads, and read about carbon peel and this place popped up. So I first emailed them and didn't hear anything back (should've thought how bad they were going to be then!). So I decided to call and spoke to a gentleman who said skin rejuvenation would be better. Made an appointment and spoke to this lady, I'm guessing the owner of the place. She said I don't do carbon peel anymore because it smells and skin rejuvenation won't show anything different on your face. I said whatever you think is the best; let's do it, she is like facials will be good and will remove black heads, I was like ok let's do it and guess what she doesn't do facials. Why would you waste anyone's time if you don't want the business? And/or why would you still have carbon peel on your website when you don't even want to do it anymore due bad odor? I have been going to Softtouch Laser and Electrolysis for years now for laser treatments. Initially I started receiving treatment on my face and was so pleased with my results and experience that I decided to have my full body done (arms, legs, back, bikini) and could not be happier! The establishment is extremely clean and all tools, blankets, towels, etc. are either disposable or sanitized before use/reuse. Ms. Anu is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. She goes above and beyond in ensuring her clients are safe in her hands by asking appropriate pre-procedure questions, discussing benefits and risks of procedures, and performing procedures only if it is safe for the client. Knowing Ms. Anu prioritizes her clients' safety puts me at ease knowing I am in great hands. I am often only in the area for a day or two having been away for medical school and now residency, however Ms. Anu havery accommodating and will always do her best to fit me in to her busy schedule. The location is close to GMU and was clean which was very important to me. The staff is nice and explains everything throughly. Getting on the appointment schedule can be a little tricky but you have to be flexible. The laser hair removal treatments were as expected in terms of discomfort. My only reservation is that the hair removal result was not very good. After several sessions I still had much of my hair growing back in the treated areas. Perhaps the laser setting is too weak but I had already paid for the sessions, ugh. Soft Touch may work for you and your skin type but I will try treatments elsewhere. read more

I wanted to have laser hair removal done, but I didn't want to use one of the online coupon sites. I looked into laser removal centers with good reviews and found this place, which is a convenient location for me. The staff was kind and friendly. Anu did all 6 treatments and for the most part, they were no more than 20 minutes with very little pain. During the treatments, I was for the most part, satisfied with my experience. However, after about 4 months, most of the hair that was supposedly permanently removed returned. It pretty much looks the same as it did before I paid $900 for 6 treatments. When I approached the staff about this, they said they've never had this problem before in the past 7 years they've been operating. I would think that because they haven't had this issue, they'd be more inclined towards customer satisfaction. But the only option that was offered was to have me pay for even more sessions, which I would definitely not do at this facility. I would not recommend this to my friends or any other potential customers for laser hair removal. read more

I've been a client at Softouch Laser for going on 3 years now. Recently, I've been alternating between microdermabrasion treatments and laser photo-facial treatments and the results have been amazing. Now in my mid-40's, my skin looks the best it's EVER looked. The discoloration from years of tanning & sun damage have been significant reduced, and my complexion actually looks younger, fresher and healthier now than it did when I was in my 20's. I continue to struggle with the occasional monthly hormone-related breakouts, but like my sun & tanning damage, it's now significantly reduced b/c the combination of the laser facial + microderm. Another thing I've noticed is that my pores, which have always been on the moderately large side, have gotten smaller, tighter, and my childhood chicken pox scars & acne scars have all but disappeared. The key is to find a treatment regime and follow it consistently for the best results...It's a lot like doing physical therapy after an injury: If you follow the program, stick with it, be patient and consistent in getting your treatments 1-2 times per month, you will see significant results in about 6-12 months (depending on your own complexion issues). I completed my laser treatments and then was moving towards the maintenance portion but when asked what I thought of the progress I informed her it wasn't as great as I had hoped but I was optimistic. She preceeded to tell me I needed to stop looking so closely at my face because no one else does. A woman in her profession should know that it's not about what others thunk but what I think of myself. If i see black hairs where there shouldn't be then I will be affected. It's not about others. For this I cannot go back. She told me to shave which gave me more hair for her to NOT be able to remove. Do not go to her!!! Plus, her husband was pushing me to help their daughter with her career but I felt like this was a personal visit and my office hours were not associated with this. I felt pushed. I've been having hair removed from my face and legs, and have been very happy with the experience. The process itself is only slightly uncomfortable (it feels like pinpricks, but they last for a split second and that's it), and is pretty quick. Anu is very nice, professional, and gentle, and does everything she can to mitigate the minor discomfort. She explains everything, and doesn't set unrealistic expectations; she's up front about the fact that laser doesn't work for everyone and that the results can vary. I am very very happy with my experience here in Softtouch. I have seen good results after 5 sessions and decided to continue, but before, I decided to stop for 2 months to see how is the hair will grow. There is still hair and kind of bothering me, but it is much better than before I started the sessions with Anu. However, because of hormones problems my doctor discussed with me, I decided to take a break for couple of months then go back to Laser sessions for better results after we solve the issue with my hormones. I have been suffering with terrible lower back pain that shoots down my leg and causes me trouble walking properly for a few years now. I've tried medication, chiropractor and other treatments but nothing too successful. My friend told me about how she's been getting laser pain therapy and I should try it.
