It's currently 11:15 and I am sitting outside their office in hopes of someone showing up for my 11am appointment even though it appears it's closed. The lights are off, the door is locked. I drive 25 minutes from DC to come here and I show up and they're closed?? Without any call or email telling me they will be closed? I came to Grandeur 5 or so years ago and my experience was great. It was definitely my fault for not coming in/scheduling every 6 weeks, but considering the lack of consistency on my end - the results were better than expected. I went to a different technician for touch ups the past couple of years and decided to come back to Grandeur for 3 follow up sessions this past summer. I immediately regretted purchasing 3 sessions as soon as I had my first session. The glasses given to me during the first session didn't seem to be clean, had finger marks and an awful dirty rag smell. The technician did seem to do a very thorough job, so I decided to overlook the stinky, dirty glasses. I had a different technician for my second session and I'm not sure why, but she literally only took 5 seconds on each side. She zapped maybe 5-6 times each side and told me she was done. I had no results after this session. At this point, I was wondering if the drive was even worth it and considered cancelling my third session. I had to wait 15 minutes to be seen after my appointment time for my third session. The ladies here are all nice and scheduling is very convenient, but I would never come back. read more

They're always busy since they're open on limited days (I could only go on Saturdays) and it seemed like they had an appointment every 15 minutes. The staff is always nice and professional. They'll also try to get you your next appointment to match your usual day and time preference. Today was my first time receiving laser hair removal, and I am so glad I came here. I was recommended by a friend. I had my upper lip done and it took less than a minute. I was a bit nervous at first because i didn't really know what to expect. But everyone was so pleasant, and that really eased the nervousness. I didn't catch the woman's name who did my procedure but she's very nice and knowledgeable. Update - (After 3 sessions) I had the treatment done every 4 weeks. My 4th session is scheduled in 2 days. I also purchased 3 sessions on a medium area for $79, but unfortunately it was only one per customer (I obviously didn't read the fine print). The people at the front desk were super nice about it and said that they would give me the 3 sessions on a medium area for $79. I used this deal for my brazilian and underarms. I waited for a little bit as my clinician Farah was finishing up with her last session. I told her that I had previous experience so she went through all the paperwork quickly. Staff is really rude with booking appointments and rescheduling. And their hours and appointment availability arn't that convenient. I've been coming here for a while only because its the few places that do the particular region I need as one area other then that they kinda suck and are cheap. They dont even give you sunscreen when you leave or any cold compress or nothing. They just zap you ask quick as possible and like many have said they focus on one spot and don't really do the whole area like they should, I always have to remind them like could you cover this area please I'm paying for the whole thing like not just that one spot. I've been burned before by them bad I want to give more descriptions but because I need to go back to them (cant find any other place that does the whole area I do as one area) I dont want them to know who I am. I've been surfing through Groupon to do laser hair removal and a location that is closer to my job. Because I had one bad experience in the past I figured as a consumer I should take on the responsibility of conducting more research before diving in head first. Simply I wanted to confirm the I formation on their website and see if they had experience doing skin darker skin tones as oppose to of fair skintones for example Caucasians. I politely greeted the receiver who I assume was the receptionist. She didn't hear me and by her tone didn't seem to care for pleasantries. I asked her what type of laser that they used. She then answered, oh do you mean what type of machine? I answered "sure the type of machine and laser." She then informed me that she didn't understand my question in what seemed like a condescending tone. I then gave her two examples of lasers, Yag and Diode in hopes that might trigger her comprehension. Instead crickets. At this point I grew impatient I stated "you know it's okay if you don't know what type of laser you use." She proceeded to say "well it's not-" I simply thanked her told her to have good day and hung up. I'm actually not hot headed but I'm not going to tolerate unprofessionalism and poor customer service especially when I was anticipating on getting a Brazilian. If you don't know the answer don't get defensive and catch an attitude and act as those the customer is asking an absurd question. I assume she knew what machine they used but didn't understand that there was such a thing as different lasers. My advise would be to educate your receptionist and train them on customer service. This isn't Walmart, when it comes to spas, consumers expect a higher standard and competency. I once had a receptionist at a different spa answer the phone and was not able to answer all my questions but she simply humbled herself put me on hold and had the technician get on the phone with me. read more

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two super friendly ladies- one who ended up being the one doing my laser (Farah). She was super nice, talked me through the whole process, and made sure it was something I wanted to do. She is great at making you comfortable for your appointment. I have one out of six sessions left and I have to say the results have been amazing. There's barely anything left and it just makes my life so much easier. I wasn't satisfied with how the brazilian and inner thighs were done. I had to remind her to do the inner thighs I don't think she did a thorough enough job. These treatments aren't cheap and I wanted my money's worth. I didn't feel comfortable anymore and felt they werent being thorough enough to finish my package and requested my money back. Not recommended for a "deep-cleaning facial" I ended up paying $65 for a mediocre facial. I'm use to deep cleaning facials that include extractions but at this facility they charge an additional fee. I informed the technician that I still had some blackheads and she told me that I would need to come back for another session. The man that did the extraction was very unorganized in the manner he pro formed the extractions it took less than 5 minutes. I initially did the recommended 6 treatments her when Eva was still a technician. I loved coming here for that very reason. However, after Eva left thins haven't been the same. I stopped using grandeur as my go to laser treatment facility but recently was desperate for a touch up and this was the only place that could fit me in. First, they do not treat with kindness and courtesy you'd treat a repeat customer with. Their touch up prices are ridiculous (60 dollars for a small area) Farah the person who took care of me barely made any conversation and I kid you not. She spent no more than 2 minutes lasering my face. I felt she did the procedure in a rush and missed many spots which I pointed out at the end of the treatment much to her dismay. If you're charging me 60 simply for a touch up I expect you to be thorough and do a good job.
