When I explained that $2,200 was way out of my budget and that I was no longer interested, her tone immediately shifted and became defensive. She repeatedly pressured me, aggressively asking why the price was "turning me off so much" and arguing that financing made it less than $150 a month. I kept reiterating that I simply wasn't willing to spend $2,000 on a cosmetic procedure, but she continued to argue. The conversation ended with her snapping, "Have a great day, and next time do some research before you ask for a consultation," before I hung up. While I acknowledge I should have researched prices beforehand, a client's lack of familiarity is no excuse for outright hostility. While I understand sales commission pressure, belittling a potential customer for sticking to a budget is completely unacceptable. But lo and behold, I found this clinic that must have been sent from the heavens, because after being tossed around from doctor to doctor, they're the only ones who have been able to clear my skin! One of the things to keep in mind is that because this clinic is mostly for cosmetic procedures, they do not accept insurance. I must admit, I was a little bit skeptical when they said they don't accept insurance, but I'm so glad I gave them a try or else I would've missed this gem. Every penny I paid had been worth it. I was assessed by Dr. Hayre (the dermatologist), and she prescribed me some topicals as well as an oral medication. She also recommended I do isolaz once a week, which I have been doing regularly. Ratana does my isolaz treatments each week, and she is fantastic! I always look forward to the appointments with her, she's so fun to talk to and is super gentle with the treatment and the extractions (which usually hurt so bad!!). I also have to thank them for being so accommodating toward me. My job is very hectic and sometimes I end up having to stay longer than expected, which makes it hard for me to make it to appointments on time sometimes. My understanding of laser hair removal is you need a tech who is experienced working with your skin color and hair type, it matters in hair removal. Mclean Laser Center was recommended to me by a friend with blond hair and fair skin, and a friend with dark skin and dark hair and it worked for both of them. Tips: Park in the lot across the street that doesn't appear to be connected to anything. Don't park by the building, there are so many restrictions, and don't park in a lot for another business on the same side of the road, you aren't allowed and i have had a note left on my car that the next time it will be a ticket. If you don't already have a package, you will be required to pay a deposit. They do match groupon prices. Make sure you aren't taking any antibiotics when you come, and certain medicines that affect the skin (like accutane or retinol (i think?) anything that makes you more sensitive to the sun) cause you can't get laser while on those medicines. Once you make the appointment you will need to confirm it a few days before. Be sure to tip! PS - YES IT DOES HURT!
