After much consideration, I've decided to share my experience with hopes it will help someone who…read moremay be considering using Dr. Bitar for any type of plastic surgery. I went to him specifically for fat transfer over a year ago and it was done under local anesthesia. Immediately after my surgery was performed, he brought a mirror to show me my results and the areas he injected fat in. My left under eye was full, however my right under eye was half as full and dipped in. I explained to him that it was uneven and that there wasn't enough fat injected on the right side. My face was visibly uneven. His response was that I just got out of surgery and needed to give it time to settle. I was confused by that response considering I had fat injected and fat doesn't just appear over time. If fat is injected, you see the fullness immediately. I let it be for the time being but I was definitely questioning the response I got. The very next day, I went in for IV treatment and I met with Trish. I still had the same concern because looking at my results the next morning, the obvious dip was very present and noticeable. I pointed it out to Trish and she also agreed there was dip and she'd discuss the issue with Dr. Bitar. I never saw Dr. Bitar that day. I never received an update or follow up of any kind. Not a follow up to my concerns, not a follow up of how I was doing or a call to schedule me for my post op. I waited a few months and finally ended up calling myself to schedule an appointment because not only was my dip still present but I also had a knot on my temple where I also had fat injected. It was definitely more noticeable once all the swelling went down. At this appointment, I actually met with Dr. Bitar. My issue was more the fact that he dismissed my concerns. He downplayed my dissatisfaction with my results and came up with every excuse as to why I was having these issues. He would talk over me and speak as if my concerns weren't valid. He also spoke of himself as if he couldn't possibly have made a mistake because he's the best surgeon in Virginia and he's performed thousands of these surgeries with minimal error. I attempted to voice my concerns saying I know I need more fat injected on the right side because it's visibly noticeable by not only myself but other people as well. Dr. Bitar assured me to give it time and wait 6 months as it should look better. I left that appointment feeling unheard as if my concerns didn't matter. Once I left that appointment, I never heard from that office again. Not a single call, email, or follow up. Mind you, it's been 14 months roughly since my surgery with Dr. Bitar. I've consulted with other board certified plastic surgeons recently and was turned down as none of them wanted take on the revision. The very last surgeon I consulted with was honest and truthful and explained that he can't correct it and advised that there's no one in this general area that has the expertise for revision fat grafting. He said the fat needs to be removed completely, and fat grafting needs to be placed properly and evenly and that just wasn't something he felt he was specialized in doing. He referred me to a surgeon in California and said I should only consider going to that surgeon. He said with what needs to be done to correct my previous surgery , it will take a certain level of expertise. I will soon consult with that surgeon in California, however, based on his online pricing, I'm looking at between 24-32k to correct this. Considering I already paid Dr. Bitar, this is very discouraging. For anyone considering surgery with Dr. Bitar, I'd do thorough research before doing so. Don't base it on the reviews alone because the office does push you to put a good review up and they request it immediately after surgery. I know this because it was asked of me. Lastly, I'll touch up on Dr. Bitar's character if you decide to consult with him. He talks a big game and tries to lure you in with talk about his successes. He speaks of himself as being "the best" and is extremely cocky and arrogant. Now, I have no issues of someone sharing their surgical experience or success in the community. My issue is how he acts as if he's better than anyone else as that's clearly not the case. He doesn't take constructive criticism well and when you go to him with a concern or issue, he becomes defensive and dismissive. For anyone who wants before and after photos, I'll be happy to send directly to you. I have serious concerns about my experience and the lack of follow-up after I reported my issues. I plan to submit a complaint to the Virginia Board of Medicine so that my concerns can be reviewed.

Dr. Chang and his entire team make you feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Dr. Chang himself feels more like a friend than a regular doctor, and at no point ever judged or pressured me (in fact, when I asked about certain treatments, he was honest in saying he didn't think it was worth it for me given the cost). I recently got a septorhinoplasty done with Dr. Chang and the results are fantastic. He fixed my deviated septum and did some cosmetic adjustments. I can finally breath normally again for the first time in my life after 30 years, and it's all thanks to Dr. Chang and his staff. I paid and felt I had no choice but to let him out my implants back in. At my preop recently me, lady crying real bad ( had an infection from a recent tummy tuck he did), and another lady (had a dead nipple) were all in one waiting room together. It is a 1% to 3% chance to have this happen and there were THREE of us on the same day that had infections...look at all his reviews and they absolutely blame the customers and brush us off! His website shows he does both internal approach, an incision made behind the lower eyelid, and the external approach, an incision made outside the lower eyelid that allows the muscle of the lower eyelid to be tightened. At the time I made an appointment, I told his office staff I was looking for the best options between these surgeries. However, during 10-minute consultation, Dr Kevin Scott told me I was not a candidate for the internal approach, and I should go for the external approach, but he does not do external type of surgeries. I got a short recommendation on a piece of paper. That's it. So, if you need cosmetic plastic surgery for your eyes, think twice if Dr Kevis Scott is the right surgeon for you.
