I don't understand how this place doesn't have 5 starts. Where do I begin? I finally made it to VA to visit Vishka Med Spa for my long-awaited facial, and it was absolutely worth it! I had heard so many great things from friends who were very pleased, and my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, Katya greeted me warmly and guided me to a room that was peaceful and quiet, setting the perfect tone for relaxation. Faye also welcomed me with such great energy--I felt instantly at ease. Faye performed my deep cleansing facial followed by microdermabrasion. She was incredibly thorough, explaining each step of the process as she worked. I truly appreciated her attention to cleanliness, constantly sanitizing everything she touched. And her magic hands during the facial massage? Let me just say pure bliss--it nearly put me to sleep! I'm beyond thrilled with the results--my skin is glowing! I will definitely be returning and sending all my friends her way. Keep up the amazing work, ladies! By the way, you all should be so proud--Vishka Med Spa was also featured in DC Modern Luxury Magazine! Very well deserved, ladies! read more

-2 STARS. I have a Groupon credit for a prepaid 40 units Botox. Expired, says I can use it as credit toward. Fine. On phone was quoted $640 "for two areas". For 40 units of Botox! Now, I've read the reviews (bad on me) and notice many people experienced with injections reporting delayed, uneven, shorter-lasting, diluted Botox. That's telling. And rather than acknowledge shortcomings or making it right, the owner is extremely negative, rude and insulting to anyone who has problems with this business. And vindictive. Whoa. As a former med spa manager, I can tell you I have problems with this business. And, as someone who has quoted, scheduled, supervised and supported professionals who give injectables, I can tell you this place is BS. Spend your money somewhere else. I took a chance against my better judgment, buying a Groupon without checking reviews. read more

I went to a few different medspa for consultation and Vishka was one of them. I immediately didn't feel comfortable with the ambiance inside of 31A (their suite) and staff were rather standoffish. The place looked old and dark. I consulted with the male (he didn't greet so I didn't catch his name) but he didn't seem knowledgeable at all. He asked what I wanted and before I could finish explaining, he immediately gave me a suggestion which was entirely different than I what I wanted. He suggested the name of the treatment and said I can look it up on their instagram page or google more about it rather than explaining what the procedure will be and what I should expect. Overall, the place didn't feel comfortable and I was left confused what to do rather than walking out with clarity. I don't feel comfortable trusting this business for any medspa procedure. I do not recommend. read more

Whole consult was very fast and he dismissed my concerns about how many units of Botox to get. I was willing to see past it because it initially seemed okay, however Botox has completely worn off after only 6 weeks. If you're getting a good deal, it's probably because they are diluting the Botox so it won't last as long. That is my guess about what they are doing here. read more

I reached out to Vishka Skincare MedSpa twice within 2 days. The first time I called them and inquired about their Groupon for a small area. I inquired about the happy trail line and the lady who answered said they didn't do that and quickly hung up the phone. Okay... I tried calling 3 times today and there was no answer, so I decided to text. I texted and stated that I'm trying to schedule an appointment with the Groupon I purchased for underarms. The first response was, "what color is my hair and what color is my skin." The next response inquired if I was Indian, Middle Eastern, or African American. I was then told that the best type of laser for my African American skin is a YAG laser, that they don't have. I told them that was strange, because I've never had an issue with my lightened African American skin tone. I went to their Instagram prior to purchasing the Groupon and I seen a couple of videos with them performing laser on a woman of my exact skin tone and the woman praising the spa. They then said I could reach out to Groupon for a refund. Horrendous customer service, which is probably why they state you have to sign an agreement prior to service. Those reviews mentioning that are true. I've been getting laser for quite some time. I've never had a medical spa act in this manner. I most definitely wouldn't recommend. In my opinion, they don't like the Groupons. Groupon takes about 40 percent and gives the merchant the rest. If that's the case of them not liking Groupon, then they shouldn't post their service on there. I've already scheduled with a suitable medical spa. Thanks for nothing. read more

Great spot for Botox. Got a deal from Groupon and now they said they would honor the price! That is awesome! Easy location and very nice staff. Everyone wears masks and a very safe environment -- highly recommend :) read more

Tried this place after seeing good reviews on Groupon. Lesson learned. It was evident they were operating laser services and a visa agency out of the same space. Literally was in and out in minutes with zero information provided beyond that included in the new patient paperwork submitted online. Clearly only concerned with the bottom line ($$$) as they were turning over patients one right after the next. You're also required to sign a non disclosure agreement agreeing not to write bad reviews; which happens to be illegal per consumer protection law. Not sure whether they use IPL or laser (or if there's even a difference), but whatever they used was beyond excruciating. Felt like being lit on fire, quite literally. Did not return. I ended up trying another place I found on Groupon and it was a remarkably better experience in all ways possible. read more

The office was clean and the office staff was so lovely. The man that did my Botox pushed me into doing 40 units on my forehead, despite the fact that I have always done 20. Saying it would be worthless to do 20. He was skilled and I had very little bruising, I just did not appreciate him being to pushy with his "sales". read more

Vishka - Text from Vishka. Then, owner called me and offered to send me a gift card to pull down my review. No way! I am not a popper. Beware! - Skin Care Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

TLDR - Although Vishka's prices are cheaper than other medspas in the area, you get what you pay for. Following my botched Botox treatment, my eyebrows were dropped and I still had movement in the treated areas. After paying for 6 full body laser hair removal sessions, I did not see significant results. Seek another medspa for your laser hair removal and aesthetic injections. I decided to try Botox and lip injections with the male provider at Vishka due to the special deals they were running during the winter months. For reference I'm in my early 20s and had gotten Botox 3 months prior, so I did not need that much and I went in knowing how many units I wanted. The male provider was extremely aggressive and pressured me to get two syringes of lip filler when I only wanted one. Once I declined getting a second syringe of filler I was told I needed 35 units of Botox just to treat my forehead and 11s, again as a 20 something year old that had leftover Botox from a couple months before. I agreed since there was a special running and the cost would be low. Long story short - even with so many units and a touch up I still had full movement while raising my eyebrows and making a frown. To make it worse, my eyebrows were also dropped. I was extremely disappointed with my results. As someone mentioned below, the Botox is most likely diluted and this injector has not been properly trained. Additionally, I paid for a full body laser package of 6 treatments. I was fully aware that 6 treatments would probably not be enough but I did not see a significant difference in my hair growth after the 6 sessions. Each time I asked the provider to increase the strength because I was not seeing results and I had already been treated with laser hair removal in the past, but they did not comply. My money was not well spent on this package. read more

I had 6 laser removal surgeries! I am extremely happy with the results. Once I saw the professionalism of the staff I was intrigued by the other services they offer. I also did fat freezing. I was nervous but the staff really did an amazing job at informing me of the process and results. It has been 3 months and I am hairless in my bikini area and armpits and have lost inches. So happy with the staff and flexibility in scheduling. read more

My experience with Faye (not sure if real name) was really poor. As a it's my first time on laser hair removal, she did not explain if there will be pain, no lidocaine cream was offered/educated, was so dismissive and always in a hurry. I was in pain during the procedure and had to take a break and she said, "Why? It's not really that painful." Pain is subjective guys! My pain may not be painful for you. I feel like she needs to be trained more on customer service and not just hurry up and set up the next appointment. Not sure if this is language barrier or just need more room for improvement. Also, I noticed after the payment when she borrowed my phone, she put a 5 star review in Groupon which is shady! read more

I had laser hair removal for my legs, bikini and armpit. After 6 sessions I noticed huge difference. I never thought it would work but it did, and i am so happy! I went for laser hair removal- She didn't explain well about the procedure after knowing that this was my first time . No medical advice is given of whatsoever after each procedure ! She moved too fast and did the laser on my face in a matter of seconds . I wish she would have taken her time and allowed the gel to be spread off evenly . She left me with a scar on my Lower chin because she moved so quick and even though I told her that it hurt , she continued with the procedure . I don't recommend this place to anybody . If the scar was more noticeable I would definitely be suing this place !!!! read more

I have been so happy with the service, the results, the staff's friendliness and availability. I highly recommend Vishka.

Please read this review if you're considering treatment at this business. This is an honest and truthful review of a bad experience I had here. Please understand that I only had laser hair removal. There are three major things you need to keep in mind: 1. Understand that this business only cares about getting your money and not about you understanding the procedure or getting results. When I complained about getting burned and that not a single hair fell, I was told, "they can't explain to each client that they need 6 sessions first to see results". I was shocked and disappointed to hear that because it only shows that they care about getting as many clients regardless of the quality of the treatment. 2. The laser here was extremely painful, and they don't know how to adjust the settings for people of color. I got burns all over the treated area, and not a single hair fell. 2. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and would not even apologize. They would fight you if you complained about their customer service and treatment and will never give you a refund. They used all kinds of intimidation with me to get me to give up my money and wanted me to sign paperwork that I wouldn't post my experience online or otherwise I'll get sued. I'm attaching a picture of the "refund" agreement they sent me, which requires giving up my right to voice the truth. I don't understand how a business with such great reviews is extremely insecure and intimidates its clients into giving up on their money. After being treated so poorly and intimidated by multiple people, I decided to write a review instead of getting my money back. When I came to this business, I read the reviews, and I trusted what everyone said, and now that I have had this terrifying experience, I want people considering this place to know what to expect. read more

I had 6 laser removal for my entire face and I couldn't be happier! I am Middle Eastern and have been getting laser for a few years now in the DMV and this is one of the best I've been to. Vishka - After one syringe, SO happy with my results - Skin Care Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

I've been going to Vishka since March 2019 for laser (upper lip and chin) and I'm very happy. Besides I've been noticing a huge difference with unwanted hair I feel very welcomed and feel that I have someone to talk with. The lady provides excellent services and she's always willing to help you to find the best solution according to your skin. Also another amazing thing that happened is that my mother that was visiting from EU during Christmas 2019, was suffering/dealing with stubborn white hair on her face(chin, neck, lower cheeks). So I decided to bring her to Vishal Skin to try electrolysis. Just to mention she did only ONE session only one- and the results were just AMAZING! She didn't get hair for at least 15-20 days. If my mother was staying in USA she would definitely continue the treatment at VISHKA SKIN CARE! Another plus. Prices are reasonable. Hope my review was helpful, Thanks for reading, Eleftheria read more

This place is not professional. In my recent visit, the technician did not mention her name or the overall process of my laser hair removal procedure. This left me with questions about what to expect after the procedure. As others have stated in their review, the place did not appear to be sanitary. My main concern with this business is that they used my phone to post a "5 star review" when they redeemed my Groupon!!! This is unethical and should not be tolerated by Groupon. I am certain they are violating Groupons "terms of agreement" The practice unethical at best. Follow up: After posting this review, the business owner has threatened me with legal action. read more

As someone who has had years of laser treatments in the past, I can attest that Fay knows what she is doing and is determined to use multiple approaches (combinations of electrolysis and laser) to ensure results are timely, noticeable, and permanent. I highly recommend a consultation if you are interested. That is how I started with her as a client. She listened to my needs and offered an affordable solution and estimated timeline for results to be achieved. Since going to Fay I have been able to work on more than my face. I have had successful treatments for underarms and am in the process of moving forward to arms next. She also has been extremely helpful in addressing my adult acne and combination skin. Her facials are targeted to my specific needs. I have been a client for a little over a year. She makes appointment scheduling convenient. She is constantly attending new education and training to stay up-to-date with changing technologies. Her space has been redesigned recently to be even more relaxing and inviting. Her equipment is newer, clean and everything is always sanitary which is important in this line of work. read more

Fay is absolutely fantastic! I first had a facial from her at another establishment and when she opened her own place I was more than happy to switch just to stay with Fay. The facials are tailored to how my skin is behaving (it fluctuates with the weather)...peels, microdermabrasion, masks, oxygen...Fay not only has your skin in tip-top shape, but creates such a relaxing environment that you feel totally de-stressed afterward. An appointment with her is such a great treat that I look forward to after a hard work schedule, at a reasonable price that fits my tight budget. I recently began electrolysis with Fay and it's working great! So happy to see the pesky goat hairs that keep popping up with age magically vanishing. She's also been helping get my eyebrows re-shaped and looking better, after years of my getting rush-threading at the malls that left mine over thinned. Such a big difference to have them done by someone who takes the time and care to get them looking so many times better than they have in years. I highly recommend Fay! Just can't say enough great things about her and how much I look forward to my appointments. read more

these people are crooks. i purchased a groupon for x number of units of botox which i have been doing for 20 years. they told me that 3x units is required. i said i do not want 3x i only want x. they told me i had to come in for a consultation and that my treatment would not be done the same day that i had to come in twice simply for botox and that is their policy. they are trying to waste peoples' time, i am a busy physician and mother. i know for a fact you do not need a separate consultation simply for botox. they are trying to force people in so that they can sell you on additional services. the lady answering the phone additionally was incredibly rude and unprofessional. edited to add: this person who answers the phone had the nerve to go onto my professional md google page and post a one star review. sorry moron- i was not your physician-google will be taking down your review. and btw i went to a board certidfied dermatologist immediately after cancelling my groupon for your lousy "medispa" and she was flabbargasted when i said that you were insisting on 60 units of botox for my forehead. she said "what kind of business is that?! you dont even have enough surface area on your face to receive 60 units botox!!" she reminded me that this is exactly why people should not seek asthetic treatment from money hungry mongrels that try to upsell you treatments and one should always see a dermatologist that is actually has your best interest at heart. additionally the dermatologist laughed about needing a consultation a different day than the actual botox treatment. she said any competent dermatologist can immediately determine what the best tratement plan should be and proceed accordingly. no surprise that i immediately received a refund from groupon. these people are incompetent and crooks read more

First time at Vishka and it will not be my last. 1. Accessibility. The building is located about 2 blocks off a main highway. Parking is great. Rear of building. Back entrance was not open at the time so I walked around the building. There are reserved spots which you need tp avoid. But there are plenty of other spots. 2. Skin assessment. She knew right away what treatment I needed. The facial was amazing. Immediately after, I could tell the difference. She answered all my questions about when I could apply makeup or other services. No hard upsell. 3. Atmosphere. Comfortable, clean, and small. 4. Products. Totally checked out her products. Looks top of the line. Looking forward to my next visit. read more
