I was having the worst luck on a Saturday morning when my car began to sputter and the check engine light came on. I made an appointment at the Honda dealer far away and realized I couldn't make it there. I stopped in at Honda cars of Boston. They were extremely busy and said they might not be able to get to it today. So while I waited for the tow truck, I was approached by Steve Whalen, who asked if he could help me. I explained and he said 'let's take your car for a ride.' It finally began sputtering again. Steve brought Paulo Lopez over to check the engine. He checked it and found that one of the spark plug caps was off. He pressed it back on screwed everything back into place. They wished me a good day and that was all that needed to be done. I just want to say thank you so much to Steve and Paulo and to Honda Cars of Boston. That made my day and saved me a ton of money. read more

I had the pleasure of working with John Fitzpatrick, who made the car buying experience easy, painless and more importantly, he listened to what we needed. We came in with a car in mind, and he showed us a beautiful vehicle, for a great price. No haggle, no pushy sales commentary. He explained the benefits and perks of the car and was so fun to talk to! I was so thankful that he was the guy who greeted us, and helped us through the process. I would recommend him - and all of the team at Honda Cars of Boston - to anyone looking to get their next vehicle. THANK YOU Fitzy! read more

Excellent service department. We own two Honda vehicles and have been using Honda Cars of Boston for all our service needs. They are professional, efficient, trustworthy and do excellent work. All service done on your vehicle is explained in detail. I would not use any other service department. I would recommend the service department at Honda Cars of Boston without any reservations! They are the BEST. read more

I purchased a car, and everyone at the dealership was awesome. Most especially Eric Young, the salesman I worked with. I talked to a number of dealerships, all of whom were nice enough, but Eric went above and beyond. First the car I was looking for was priced less than at any other dealer. Next since I am new to Boston I did not know how to get to the dealership on the T, when I called to check about the car I asked Eric how to get there, and he said he would pick me up. I decided to purchase the car, but could not take it that day because they did not have the title yet, I needed the car to attend a conference so the got me a rental. Like I said above and beyond, I would highly recommend this dealership and Eric Young in particular! read more

Bought a car from these guys and sent a few friends here as well. Went to a few dealers prior to committing with Honda Cars of Boston, they offered me the best deal and gave me top dollar for my trade-in. The sales team here are more down to earth than the other dealers. Also brought my car in for service on a few occasions. I'm pretty busy most of the time so I just bring car in around 8am and go about my business. Service Rep always call to give me updates and go over what needs to be done, they would not proceed with any big ticket service without your approval. All in all a pleasant experience, and they're close to home. read more

Ataan was awesome! The whole dealership made us feel welcomed the minute we walked in the door. We love our Honda and are so happy we got it at Honda Cars of Boston! Highly recommend this place if you are looking to buy a Honda. read more

I brought my Honda to Honda Cars of Boston twice in the past week for servicing, and I've been extremely pleased with their help. My first visit actually began at another tire shop that lost my wheel lock key, which is about as exasperating as something can get. They suggested I go to the nearby dealership to have my locks removed. So I came to Honda Cars of Boston on a busy Saturday and was looking at a 2-hour wait in the service department. Steve, the service manager, decided that he could take care of the situation himself, so I was on my way back out the door quickly. Today, I brought my car back for a software update and some much needed services that I had been delaying since I moved to the area. Steve was on hand to take care of me again. The prices for the services (not the free software update!) were reasonable and the wait wasn't bad. I was impressed by the treatment and will definitely consider returning for other servicing, as needed. Thanks again! read more

I should have come here first. Period. Patient, Not Pushy, Genuine and simply excited to do their jobs. After 2 weeks of 'car buying gone wrong' from 2 dishonest dealerships , I walked into Honda Cars of Boston. I had a bad taste in my mouth from my previous experiences, but was pleasantly greeted by Ataan Kurgun with a huge smile across his face (not one of those "fresh meat" smiles, but a true, hearty, genuine smile). I was skeptical, but hopeful. Ataan ended up living up to the honesty and care shown in his initial greeting. By the time I came to Honda Cars of Boston, I did have features that I liked and "requirements" which I didn't have at the beginning of this journey. Ataan showed me a few cars that fit my general Needs, but didn't fit my new found "Want" category, he kept at it, making sure he showed me everything he had in order to give me a complete understanding of what they had in inventory. I can honestly say that Ataan exhausted all options and was unbelievably patient with me while I made phone calls, and asked questions. In the end, he showed me my new beautiful CRV. When I went to pick up my car, Ataan drove my car into this beautiful white room where he gave me the most thorough tour of the car. All of the people, from the woman at the front desk, to the guys behind the counter, Manager Joe, the Finance guy, and especially Ataan, were extremely personable and kind. I'll absolutely come here next time. read more

Just bought a 2016 Honda Fit though Luis Lopez, Oscar Caicedo, and Samantha Lambert. It was my first time buying a new car through a dealership. They helped me find a good deal, and made the car buying process quite simple and comfortable. Would definitely recommend them! read more

I'm reviewing the sales and service departments. And I'm appalled I even have to give them 1 star. I purchased a used 2004 Honda CRV from them in 2009. I had been searching around and was trying to decide between the CRV and the Rav-4 as my car had just been totaled. I had inquired about a vehicle I saw on the website, but when I called to inquire, I was told it was sold. A few weeks later I received a call that the deal had fell through and was I still interested. It was the lowest price and the lowest amount of miles, so I was pretty excited. I went to test drive the car and it loved it. Plus the mileage was so low for a used car that it was hard to pass up. My father had flown up to help me negotiate the warranty and price of the vehicle, which was helpful and I ended up essentially getting the best warranty for "free" after all was said and done. However, the poor score comes in from the pushiness of the sales agent and the lies when they sold me the car. Within a year of purchase I was forced to replace both the front and rear brakes, along with the rotors which were almost completely rusted through. They sold me the car knowing that the brakes were on the extremely low end of good, which is legal, though completely ridiculous. I'm assuming they thought that when I got my first oil change or whatever that they'd notice and I'd want to bring the car back to the dealer to get it done. I brought the car back several times to be looked at after my mechanic saw the brakes and each time they told me my brakes were fine and I wouldn't have to replace them for a couple of years. If I had listened to Honda Cars of Boston, I probably would have injured myself or someone else while driving due to bad breaks. And on top of that I would have to replace my alignment as it was pulling due to one of side of the brakes wearing faster than the other. Thankfully the mechanic I use is completely trustworthy and showed me exactly what was wrong, how the brakes are supposed to look and gave me the best deal, which was cheaper than the dealer by hundreds of dollars. Honda Cars of Boston are really slick and they try to get you any way they can. Watch out for them and I would never recommend this place to anyone I know to purchase a car, whether new or old. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. They are terrible place and in retrospect, I wish I had reported them to the BBB at the time. read more

We just purchased our 2012 Honda civic from Honda Cars of Boston (HCOB). We were pleasantly surprised with the service that we received from this dealership. We had been to three other Honda dealerships (Prime Honda, Herb Chambers and Honda village) and one Toyota dealership (Herb Chambers). At all the dealerships, our visit was hugely disappointing. So when we went to HCOB, we were full of doubt and skepticism. The journey started with an email from Samantha Lambert, their client service manager. I called her back and she gave me their price without me asking for any bargains. She answered most of my questions and when she couldn't, she answered them in a follow up email. I called another Honda dealer to check their price. Not only was I quoted a higher price but was then pressured to leave my credit card number so that they'll match the price at HCOB. The next day, I walked into the dealership (full of skepticism, expecting hidden costs to be thrown at me) and met Samantha. She introduced me to Luis Lopez, our car salesperson. Luis was nice and easy going. Although we had test driven the civic previously, he asked us to drive the car again just to be sure. After the test drive, we were brought to the showroom. To our surprise, they honored the price that they had quoted us (and after a bit of negotiation, lowered the price even further). Luis did not pressure us into buying anything extra. We were very pleased with his service. What added icing to the cake was the fact that we had to go back to return the Zipcar as we were unable to extend our reservation. Luis followed us in his own car and then brought us back to the showroom. At this point, we had already made the payment and he did not need to do this as the sale was already completed. I guess it was part of the great customer experience one should expect at HCOB. When we returned, we met up with Joe, one of the managers, who helped us finish the paperwork. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a Honda, just go to Honda Cars of Boston. Avoid Prime Honda and Herb Chambers. Barry at Honda Village was good but the follow up was poor and hence we did not go back to Honda Village. read more

Honda Cars of Boston is by far the best dealership I have ever been to. Paul, Alex, and Oscar were amazing to deal with and recommend setting up an appointment to buy a car from Alex. Not only did he find me the perfect car, 2013 Honda Sport, but he was not pushy like most car salesmen. The staff really rolled out the red carpet and Paul, one of the owners, actually spent time talking to customers about the service they received from his staff and how my experience was. I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2011 Honda Crosstour. I was extremely satisfied with all levels of the transaction. My sales person (Rich Fonzi Jr.) was a pleasure to work with, no pressure to buy. The finance team went the extra mile to get the right loan for my situation. The vehicle was priced fairly, I was given fair value for my trade (no lowballing) no back and forth to the "manager" as with other dealerships. Rich even personally handled a few after sale details to my complete satisfaction, something most salesmen won't do. Usually you get the run around or they forget who you are all together after the sale. This was not the case. Rich was professional, honest and kept all the promises he made during the sales processes. If you are in the market for a Honda, new or used, you must go see this guy. You will not be disappointed. read more

I recently try to make an appointment to have my oil change and its been THREE weeks and they are not able to accommodate my appointment. I do understand they are going thru renovations but this is really unacceptable. Besides that people that work in the mechanics are awfully rude. Only when I asked to talk to the manager they were able to "try" to make my appointment. When I was coming out Isis Cunha (I believe thats her full name) she was very pleasant and sweet to hear my complain and took me to a very nice girl named Amanda that made me an appointment right away. I'm still really mad because when you come in to buy a car everyone is very sweet but when you need "service" they don't care. Really the in,y people I would talk there is Isis and Amanda. read more

I went to Honda of Boston last Sunday . I was looking to lease the Honda Fit EV. They were one of the few dealers to have this car in Mass. I was having trouble getting the car registered he went to the Insurance agent and registry personally. That is service . He also called me to keep me informed of process at all times. Also called Levetron to arrange delivery to my home of charger. There was nothing I had to do. I have bought many cars from different dealerships this is the best . Bait and Switch! I wanted to buy a Odyssey 2013 model because of the great discounts being offered. Honda Cars of Boston offered the best price in online quotes using American Express auto purchase program. I called them just before leaving and they confirmed that they had "couple of vehicles" on their lot in both EX and EX-L trims. I re-confirmed that they are talking about 2013 model, not 2014. However, when I reached after an hour drive they said there was some confusion and they did not have any 2013 model. In fact "there are no 2013 models left in the whole state of Massachusetts". Instead, they aggressively tried to sell me 2014 model which was about 5000 dollars more than the online quote for 2013 model. Of course I left. To check if they genuinely made a mistake or was it intentional, I sent an email to them next day saying I wanted to buy a 2013 Odyssey. They said yes, they have 2013 models in stock and I can come for a test drive any time I wanted! How did they get 2013 models overnight?! I've been to Honda in Everett twice now, and with both experiences had impeccable customer service. During my first visit (though it resulted in writing a much higher check than expected), I was informed of the issues at hand with my relatively new car by a customer service rep. who was very patient with my many questions. I had to bring it in for a follow-up and worked with Steven P. who worked with me on getting the extended warranty I purchased (but had no information on from the other Honda location) in their system, ensuring that it was covered by my warranty. He was extremely helpful and informative, explaining to me the issues with the vehicle and making the process as painless as getting your car serviced could be. read more

John Fitzpatrick could not have made my daughter Catherine's first experience in a car dealership any better. He is everything a car salesman should be! After shopping at 2 other dealerships, John was straightforward, friendly, honest and fair. She got a very fair price as compared to other dealerships, and I look forward to returning in the Spring to put myself in a 2015 Honda Pilot! read more

If there is no star, I would rate it 0 right away. They sold you the car that fails the inspection though they claim that it passed its own inspection. When I brought it back within 2 days after the purchase. They refused to fix it though it failed the state inspection. They are selling you junks. And they treat you like you disturb their private lives after the purchase is done. If you want to have headache, this is the right place for you. Trust me, the worst dealership ever. I've never had a better experience at a car dealership. From the moment I stepped in, I was not bombarded with greedy salespeople. I was calmly approached and respected and offered assistance. I already knew which car I wanted there because I found it online and had already ventured to a few other dealerships who were way over priced and did not want to negotiate a fair sale. To my delight, the vehicle was even cheaper than listed, so I already felt better. I got a great deal on a certified Used Honda Accord and I've had it for three years and it's been so good to me it's as if I brought a brand new car. I always come back to Honda Cars of Boston because their service department is very attentive to my needs and offers fast, quality, and cost effective servicing. They certainly go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I highly recommend them and be wary of those who put bad reviews on here because there are two sides to every story. Definitely worth the five star rating. read more

(Also posted for sales page) I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Honda Accord LX from Honda Cars of Boston back in May of 2016. When I was finally able to pick up the vehicle three days after purchase, I noticed that the car was not detailed as promised. The same scratches to the body and original scuffs to the wheels were still prevalent. The vehicle was also missing a rear headrest and the owner's manual in the glove compartment was ripped to shreds. It took the dealership two weeks to be able to provide me with a new owner's manual and rear headrest. The dealership also promised a full tank of gas and I picked up the vehicle with 1/4 of a tank. In addition, there was a foul odor noticeable in the trunk when I picked up the vehicle which I have still been unsuccessful at suppressing 6 months later. When I started driving the vehicle more regularly, I noticed problems with the CVT transmission and radio. When I switch from drive to reverse (still to this day!) for example, there is an abrupt jerk upon lightly tapping the gas. In addition, the car will surge forward upon coming to a complete stop. The first time I called the service department at the dealership about this issue, they denied that this was an issue and assured me it was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. Upon a quick internet search, I learned that there was a service bulletin for this issue (13-053), and once I mentioned this to the service department, they agreed to provide the fix for free, however, they did not provide me with a loaner/rental vehicle while the vehicle was in repair for a week. I drove the vehicle with a technician at pick-up and the problems did not occur immediately, but cropped up again only a few days later. I brought the vehicle back for a second time for the same problem, and they kept my car for two weeks and completed nothing. The only item listed on the service report was that the car was test driven for 50 miles and not repaired. Before this visit, I spoke to the sales manager, Joe Avilla, and he agreed to provide me with the original detailing provided in the purchase agreement and 6 free service visits due to previous negative experiences. After the vehicle continued to have transmission troubles, I began arbitration with Honda through the National Center for Dispute Settlement, which ultimately failed. I also inquired about a software update that would fix many of the audio quality issues, but apparently that is only available for higher trim levels with the additional touchscreen. At this point I am attempting to dump this vehicle for another brand because both Honda and Honda Cars of Boston have failed to provide me with quality service. Here is my synopsis of the vehicle having owned it for 6 months: 2013 Honda Accord LX Pros: Vehicle looks great. Logical dashboard layout. Steering and handling. Acceleration (in sport mode) Fuel Economy (29 mpg avg.) Cons: Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) provides jerkiness, surging, and an overall unpleasant driving experience. Audio System - the sound system in this vehicle is one of the worst I have ever heard in my life - the radio reception is bad for ALL FM stations, the speakers sound tinny, etc. - not much better with AUX cord or bluetooth - the screen also only displays only a few characters at a time of the music you're listening to on the radio despite the screen being enormous. No adjustable lumbar support - cannot find a comfortable position as a fit 5'9" male Suspension - car rides way too stiff. I purchased this vehicle when I was 20 years old with my savings and was financed without a cosigner. I also test drove the Mazda6 and Toyota Camry. Unfortunately I did not notice the audio problems or transmission problems on my test drive. Honda and Honda Cars of Boston have lost a young customer for life. Thanks for reading. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Honda cars of Boston for about 10 years. But today my experience with them was extremely disappointing. I made an appointment for an oil change and annual inspection. 8.45 am. They told me I should wait an hour and a half. Fine with me. I waited 3 hours for something which does not take more than 25 min. The guy at the customer service told me they did a tire rotation for free to compensate me for my time. I do not believe them. I went to Honda Cars of Boston in Everette, MA for the scheduled services of my new car. I felt I was treated very poor. I scheduled my appointment at 3:30 P.M, but I reached there around 3:25 P.M. I left my office early because of my car's first service is a scheduled service, not an express service. I bought my car from the same place. When I reached the service section, one person collected my car's key and he noted the VIN and gave me two sheet of paper which has a number (may be service tracking number). He said something (not clear), but I heard that keep it with you and write it up. I saw some space for comments, I thought he told me to write there. I told him, this is my first service. From here I bought my car. He asked me 'oil change'?, again I said my car's first service, it is scheduled at 3:30 P.M. He didn't say anything more. He took my car and I entered into the service division directly with that paper. No one asked me for that paper. And I thought I have to write my comments and give that to them while leaving. I kept that paper with me and went to the finance manager and chat with him, inquire about the salesman who sold the vehicle to me. 4:00 P.M I went and asked to one person who is looking the service records in the service department, "I have scheduled my service at 3:30 P.M. Both express and scheduled services are handling here or do you have another place for scheduled service". He replied that No, both are doing here. I asked about the car wash. He said they will do the exterior cash wash. It is included in the package. Around 4:15 P.M I went to service place to check whether my car's oil change is done or not. I met the same person to whom I gave my car key. He said, you check with one of the persons sitting in the service department. I went inside again showed my paper and asked about my car. Then the employee told me I have to give that paper whenever I entered the service division. I do not know want to do that time. 45 minutes waste. He collected the paper and started entering that in the computer and he generated the work order and sent for the service. I went outside and noticed when they will take my car to the service. 4:32 P.M they took my car and they finished the service at 4:44 P.M and parked it inside. I met the first person who took my key earlier and told him about the situation. Then he said, he is there to clear the valet. I asked, you already collected all details, then why should I give this paper to them. Why can't they get it from you? After the service, I noticed that my car is not washed. He asked me to speak with the service department. Again went inside and spoke to them. That person told me, they don't do car wash after 4:30 P.M. I asked another question. Will you provide anywhere outside or any coupon for the car wash. He gave me a coupon for an outside car wash and said, those people will be busy. You may have to wait 1 more hour. I told him, I came from little far and I have to come again for the car wash. He just printed the bill for $37.62 and asked me 'are you paying by cash?" I was so upset, I waited here more than 1 hour for the service and they did 10 minutes job for me. I paid the money and took my car and came out. But still it was bothering me. I end-up in 93 traffic because I got late to leave from the service station. While driving I was trying to find out what went wrong. Fortunately, I escaped from an accident in 93. Then I decided I should write about this, probably I can come out this frustration. read more

Every time I go to Honda Cars of Boston (Everett) I have such a positive experience. From the service, to the comfortable seating area (with coffee, water, popcorn & wifi) you almost forget your at a dealership. My most recent visit, however, renders a written review because I had even more exceptional service. For several months, I've been trying to get out of my 2 door Honda Accord Coupe 2008 for a sedan (to do Uber) and ran into many obstacles. Just when I thought about giving up on the process, Alex (sales manager), gave me his undivided attention and told me my options, assuring he will help the best way he knew how. Alex personally sat down with me, following up from a prior visit, and worked numbers and options. Trusting in him, I listened to his advice and expertise, and that same day I walked out with a brand new car. No longer was I attached to a car that had no equity, and no means of generating income. I would personally recommend going in and asking for Alex, as he has a natural talent for what he does. Not only that, he is going to see to it that your investment is the best option for your situation and future goals. Thanks Alex, your awesome! read more

Not only did I get a great deal on a beautiful certified preowned Honda Accord, but my salesperson Sim's patience and expertise left me feeling good about my choice and buying experience. The salesman was very rude. Also they see a young working college kid and try to pull a fast one. They offered me 2000 for my car when I looked at them in surprise and said no they come back 15 minutes later and say ok well give you 4000. Seriously they wanted to see if they could get away with offering me shit for my car to maximize their profits, they couldn't, and then came back with a 2k higher offer as if I'd think that was an amazing increase even though it's still much less than the trade in value. I decided to sell the car myself and put down a sufficient amount of cash instead. Called back a day later had the cash and wanted to discuss the price of the car. The salesman yelled at me on the phone saying the sticker price was final and said if I didn't want the car to go f**k myself. Very professional. Went with another dealership got the same car I wanted same miles for 800 less plus a car starter installed. I work for a bank so any customer that comes in for an auto loan I'm going to make sure I tell them not to buy from Honda in Everett. Smh. read more

I am suprised by the poor reviews. I had a terrific experience. My sales rep was Fitzy, he was extremely helpful and a class act. Last week my boyfriend and I traveled two hours to Honda cars of Boston to look at a specific car we found through them for an amazing price. On our way down we were super excited thinking that this would be the car we would be taking home! When we arrived we had asked for the person who we had spoken to online to whom had given us our quote. To our surprise the person you speak to online is not the person you will deal with in there store. The women who helped us was very friendly up until the point when we went out to see the car. When my boyfriend and myself began looking around the car their were HUGE gouged scratches all over the car and a very noticeable dent with yellow paint on the back end of the bumper (which is not in the pictures) While I was looking around the car the woman helping us asked what I was looking at and when I asked how the car got the very noticeable dent in the back she replied with " I don't know ask the last owner! and Just remember this is a used car you get what you pay for." Mind you I know used cars come with dings but this one was really bad. We then took the car for a test drive, while driving we noticed the car engine sounded off compared to the others we have test drove at other dealers. But we didn't think much of it other than maybe it had just sat on the lot for awhile. When it came time to sitting down and doing paper work. I had given the sales person all of my information. When she came back she told me my credit wasn't good and that my interest rate would be higher. When I asked her what it was she hesitated to tell me and said that she couldn't tell me. Which I found odd because every other dealer had told me what it was. When she came back again with other info she told me my credit was a 709... come to find out when I checked with my bank this dealership had never even ran my credit or checked it because when I went to apply for a loan for a different car they had seen no inquiries from this dealership and my credit was 30 points higher than what she had told me. I was only there a week ago I feel like that's a huge jump in a score... So if I could give anyone advice, make sure you really want the car your buying from them before giving them any personal information because if they don't check your credit their coming up with a rate and then your left wondering where the paper work with your personal information is going. read more
