Very few restaurants around National Mall. We have to eat these kinds of burgers. It has $3.99 for sales. However, it only deducted $0.01 for the second burger.

This is a large lemonade, filled only 20% of the cup. Unbelievable. I ended up not drinking it and just poured it out.

I placed an order on the kiosk which was out of paper so my receipt didn't print. I didn't get any order confirmation on my phone or email so I had to tell the cashier what I ordered. When my large lemonade came, it was only filled 20% and the rest with ice (see photo). I ended up just pouring the drink out, since I don't trust whoever filled my cup to drink out of it.

Pull apart donuts

Pretty average McDonald's located just south of the National Mall. You can order at the counter, on the app, or on one of their many self-service kiosks. When ordering on the app and checking in upon arrival, my food came out within a couple of minutes, hot and fresh. I also saw they had new pull apart donuts being advertised, so I ordered one of those as well. The donut was cold and likely baked earlier in the morning or offsite and shipped. Because of this, it wasn't easy to pull apart and didn't taste as good as a fresh donut. But hey, what did I expect at a McDonald's?!

Large fry

This mcdonald's is my favorite mcdonald's in DC by far. Clean tables and nice ambiance all around, with cool neon lighting on the outside. Food is always fresh and great. Service is fast and staff are kind.

Plain iced coffee

This is an average McDonald's that I bought lunch from before visiting the Smithsonian air and space museum. My food and iced coffee were good, but the cashier that took my order was snippy at me because I didn't want liquid sugar in my iced coffee for health reasons.

I just got the Cardi B and Offset meal and they gave me a cheeseburger dressed as a quarter pounder. Like bruh if y'all didn't have any more quarte pounder y'all could have just said that and I would have just got something else just stupid.

Large French Fries

This place was quick and efficient. The self service option was definitely Plus. I only order French fries and they came out steaming hot and fresh. They were delicious! The only disappointment was that they had no drive thru and there was practically no parking on the street.

Filet O Fish Meal

I decided to grab McDonald's on my break since it's so close; BIG MISTAKE. I partly blame myself for not checking my food before I left but I was in such a rush to get back to work I didn't. I get to work and half the bun of my fish filet is PEELED OFF. In what world would someone think this is okay to serve a customer?! The fries were COLD and SALTY, then the soda was FLAT! The whole meal was a waste of time and money. I couldn't even eat it, I'm truly disappointed but then I have to remind myself this is McDonald's.

Not sitting here. Definitely not sitting here.

This McDonalds suck. Poor service and dirty store. I even gave them a second chance to redeem themselves.

Get ready to get minimal food. This McDonald's didn't even fill the ice cream up half as high as the one I went to last night. Rip off

I would have loved it if they offered a pour over and different single origin selections from…read morearound the world... But, that's very preferential to my palate... the roast they serve from small planes is beautiful. The espresso beans are single origin and they serve a blend for their drip coffee. But the gem of this coffee shop is the baked goods! It is absolutely the most delicious and well made bread I've ever had in a coffee shop. I feel like they should be a bakery that serves coffee on the side. Their mushroom toast is out of this world! Like the best thing I've had in a long time. Their sourdough and multigrain bread is the foundation and the most beautiful one at that. The sauce is magnificent. Their croissant is as close to magic as you can get... I just wish I had come in time to have it warm. Their avocado toast is served with fresh piles of beautiful avocado. But again, the multigrain bread is the star! Their Pain Suisse... magic in a pastry... chocolate and pistachio wrapped in flaky croissant! beautiful and delicate... it's a must get!

Here's what's going for them. 1) Food & Drink: Every pastry they make is worth the money and calories, especially their pain suisse. (It's the best I've ever had.) You can go savory with their quiche or ham and cheese croissant or go sweet with monkey bread, basque cheesecake, and more. To drink, they have a full coffee menu and free water in a jug at the condiment counter. 2) Service: Despite busyness, their staff often are patient, calm, and efficient. 3) Space: It's much larger than their original location with several long tables, small tables, window seats, and more. There's a unisex restroom in the back and a door that connects to their neighbor Politics & Prose. 4) Area: There are many restaurants and shops nearby along the water. Parking can be expensive or hard to find so take the Metro (Southwest Waterfront) or ride Capital Bikeshare.

We ordered the build your own omelette…read morewith roasted potatoes, french toast with berries, white chocolate chip coconut macadamia cookie, pain au chocolate croissant, blueberry scone, peppermint hot chocolate, and chai tea latte. Total came out to approximately $55. What's hot - Menu. Good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans. There are sweet and savory options, eggs, french toast, salads, sandwiches, etc... - Quality. Excellent! All 3 of us really enjoyed the food that we ordered. Their french toast and omelettes are delicious. My husband particularly liked the maple syrup that was served with his french toast, because the maple flavor tasted a bit stronger than your average maple syrup. Their pastries are also delicious! Soft, good texture and not too sweet. Given the softness, my best guess is that their sweet treats are recently made. - Service. Pretty good. We did not wait very long for our orders to be ready. The hot foods, like the omelettes, french toast, and drinks, appear to be freshly made. - Price. Good value for money, given the quality and portions. - Location. Convenient location in D.C. However, given the location, be prepared for it to get busy quickly, which means decent lines and wait times. What's not - Interior space. Very tight squeeze inside. There are tables and chairs inside, but their biggest tables can only fit 4 people. If you have children with a stroller or whatever, be prepared to not have room inside. They have outside seating, but that's only conducive to when the weather is warm. This place appears to be popular, which means it can get packed very quickly and seating can be difficult to find. - Acoustics. They play relatively loud music inside, which makes it difficult to have conversations with those you're with. That the interior is small, the music travels easily, which does not help. - Omelette. Even though I liked the flavor of my omelette, it was rather thin. I prefer my omelette to be more weighty/fluffy in texture. Additionally, cheese is not automatically included with the omelette. I ordered mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, and bacon in my omelette. I mistakenly believed cheese was automatically included, but I was wrong. - Parking. Is not easy to find given the location. There is street parking, but it's very difficult to come by. Final Answer Would like to come back, but probably not a first choice given the tight squeeze of the interior. If I do return, would more likely than not order takeaway.

I always hit this spot when I'm seeing a show at the Anthem!…read more Delicious (but a bit pricy) Cuban food, cocktails, and coffee. What keeps me coming back time and time again are their double-fried tostones. The texture and flavor is absolutely insane, and the sauce it comes with is to die for. I've also tried their Cuban sandwich, which is hot, melty, and scrumptious. The shop itself is bright and modern, and even has a small outdoor patio section. The staff seemed a bit overburdened trying to keep up with orders and get everything out in time. That said, the young man and woman who prepared my order were kind and very focused on doing their best. I definitely plan to return and give them another try under less hectic conditions. This location is an entire vibe. It's tucked down a painted alley that leads you to a side entrance, which I actually preferred over the front. Parking is what it is at the Wharf, but I recommend parking near the museum and walking over. Once inside, you're met with gorgeous decor and a thoughtfully designed space that feels like a Spanish-style bar set in nature. The tile, the color palette, and the food and drink options all come together beautifully. I ordered the Carrot Cake Con Leche, which came out to about $8 after tax. It was tasty and a great treat after my morning run. It did take about 15 to 20 minutes to receive my order, but given how busy it was, that felt understandable. I'm looking forward to returning and experiencing it at a calmer time.
