This was one of the best Sausage McMuffin with Egg sandwiches I've ever had. I woke up hungry in my nearby hotel, and walked here to order. The restaurant was clean and they were cleaning the floors and tables, the staff was friendly, and they had self service soda pop which is always a plus! I took a big Iced Tea back to my room. Back to that sandwich... the muffin was crispy!!!! They get it... that's the point of a muffin go get crispy crusty peaks. The food is as you would expect and there's not a lot of quick bites in the area, so it is okay if you want something quickly. It also gets crowded quickly, so it may or may not be worth waiting in a long line and having someone in your party scout for a table. It wasn't dirty inside, just crowded. I got the wrong dipping sauce, but I wasn't going to face the lines again to try to get an employee on register to switch out. It's good for what you need, but if lots of other people need it, it's less desirable to want to fight the crowds. read more

This McDonalds is very convenient to walk to from the Air & Space Museum, so this is a busy place. Ordering from the app is a breeze and they bring the food to you. Wouldn't recommend ordering without using a deal on the app, otherwise the prices get pretty high for a family. Can also walk to the Metro station nearby (L'Enfant Plaza). It can get tiring walking around DC and the attractions, so it's good to scope out nearby places like this to save a little money versus buying the food at the museum. read more

Letting my nephew pick where we eat for a week was killing me. But I understand a kid's mentality when it comes to restaurants and what is 'good.' I just wanted to placate a toddler and came here in hopes that he will be full for the next hour or two. The only reason we came here was because it was nearest to where we just were and he said he wanted McDonald's. When we showed up we encountered a madhouse. We went over to the touchscreen and placed our order. To say that chaos ensued would be an understatement. It was impossible to hear anything in here with the amount of people and general noise of the doors opening and letting in the street noise. With it being rainy outside on this day, standing in one place was hard to do as well. Once our number was called the quest to find a seat was our next venture. If you have been to this location, you know how cramped it is and how well used it is. It can be an all out brawl to find a seat. I did a sweep of the room and only saw an area that had two seats available. Right up against the windows overlooking the sidewalk. I was worried that my nephew wouldn't be able to get into the seat as it was basically a barstool. He made due and dug into his food. It was odd being in such close quarters with strangers, but there were no other seats. I somehow ate what I ordered, and of course my nephew downed his food quickly. He was excited for his food. A poor McD's experience. This is super convenient to the Air & Space Museum, but that's where the positives end. I tried ordering at the kiosk, but it got locked up and despite pressing the "assistance needed" button, no one came to help. Staff ignores customers by literally turning their back on everyone waiting at the counter. When my food was finally ready, they didn't display the order number on their TV monitor, and it got cold sitting in a bag behind the counter. If the kids want clown food while on the National Mall, this is the place, but keep expectations in check. read more

Pretty average McDonald's located just south of the National Mall. You can order at the counter, on the app, or on one of their many self-service kiosks. When ordering on the app and checking in upon arrival, my food came out within a couple of minutes, hot and fresh. I also saw they had new pull apart donuts being advertised, so I ordered one of those as well. The donut was cold and likely baked earlier in the morning or offsite and shipped. Because of this, it wasn't easy to pull apart and didn't taste as good as a fresh donut. But hey, what did I expect at a McDonald's?! read more

The staff at this McDonalds were the least customer service oriented that I've experienced in a long time. I used the kiosk to order. I was a bit concerned since my order number never made it to the monitors, but it was eventually called out. We had to go to several tables before finding one that wasn't wet or dirty. The most prominent odor being that of a mildewed towel (or was it urine smell?) made the dining experience unpalatable. Before my sweet tea started to taste like sweet pee we decided to eat outside. Passing an employee mopping the floor, one glance at the bucket made it clear why the prevalent odor was so unpleasant. The bucket looked like a primordial soup; murky water with 'things' floating amongst the debris. I'm guessing that bucket hadn't been emptied in quite sometime. The food? Typical McDonalds fare. I placed an order on the kiosk which was out of paper so my receipt didn't print. I didn't get any order confirmation on my phone or email so I had to tell the cashier what I ordered. Crowded, older McDonald's, but a good place for a break when visiting the museums in the area since they have a lot of seating. We only got some drinks and fries, so the food was about what you would expect from McDonald's, but it was nice that we could get refills on the drinks since the machine wasn't behind the counter. read more

But I came here for breakfast because I was dying for a McMuffin, and the music was on point, everything was clean, the staff was very nice and helpful, the food was cooked perfectly, and came out hot. 10/10 one of the best experiences I've had at a fast food spot in general. If Yelp let me give negative stars rating ...went here for lunch today around 1:20pm 2/25/2020 and it was kind of busy. I ordered carry-out a small fries, 4 pieces nuggets and waited forever for my order. When I got back to my office and opened the 4 pieces chicken nuggets box, I saw PICKLES!!! I did not paid $4 something for a small fries and a box of slices pickles!!! Who would put pickles in a 4 pcs chicken nuggets box and swapped for the nuggets. Please see the attached photo. My colleague asked me to walk back to the store and tell the manager but I'm not going to do it because it would take another half hour to walk back and forth to the store, plus time I have to wait in line. This will be my last time at this location. If the store manager ever read this post, you can check my order# 1148 and whoever prepared the food is a joke!!!! read more

The other Yelpers are on target - a dirty place with slow service. I waited over 15 minutes to get a burger and fries at 2pm. Not that I expect 5 star service from McD's but c'mon 15 minutes. I work nearby, so I see this place get slammed from 11:30-1pm. I thought I would be safe heading in around 2pm - not so much. It was obvious that no one had bothered to clean up from the lunch rush. Dirty tables, trash over flowing, and a beverage area that would make most people vomit. As a general rule, I try to avoid Mc Donalds this experience is just one more reason on why I should stick to that rule. read more

The location is downtown near L'Enfant Plaza. I have only been here early in the mornings, but it is somewhat clean (some tables left with crumbs and drink area not wiped). There is ample seating with tables and stools by the window. I ordered and received my meal within a matter of minutes, so that is a plus here. However, I did order a small OJ and that was not even filled to the top. The food is what you would typically expect from a McDonalds, and my breakfast was warm. The serving sizes are so different to what we get in Adelaide. Much better money for value. At this McDonalds, the food is definitely good, McDonalds in the US has a lot more flavour (and probably more fat) than back home. The Big Mac I had was well flavoured, had a rich beef taste and the lettuce was crisp and fresh. However with this said, the waitstaff at this particular store weren't particularly the most friendly people around. When I went here for breakfast, they forgot a hash brown with my McValue Meal and they didn't even apologise for the poor service. read more

I live nearby and every day I have to pass by this location and try to resist the delicious, processed, caloric hold McDonald's has over me. And if I'm coming from after a work happy hour, believe me, that resistance is weak. They have bathrooms that are not passcode-locked, which I appreciate when I'm in a hurry. Two stalls in the lady's room, which is larger than some places. The seating is large and varied. If you want to sit at a barstool by the window, there are plenty of spots. If you want a table, there's ample space. And if you prefer a booth/bench setting, that's an option too. McDonald's, whatever your reputation, I'm glad you exist nearby and that you can service my guilty fast-food needs. Sometimes you just need some $5 20-piece nuggets and a large fry to get through the day. I've got no complaints and have been treated respectfully by employees every time I've been here. read more

Manager intimidation of employees and dreadful customer service, and I don't say that because it's a McDonald's. It's this McDonald's in particular. My order was first messed up, and when I returned to try to get it addressed, the manager asked for what I was given to throw it out. In three letters, "wtf?" I'm not trying to defraud your establishment; it makes no difference to your bottom line whether you get my old meal back to throw out. But here's the real problem. When I asked for a receipt, I got one from a regular employee, whom I shortly thereafter heard the manager *berating* for fear I would leave a bad review via the McDonald's survey mechanism. Well, I did, and I specifically called him in my feedback, and I'm doing so here also. Note that these events occurred in 2018, so if this franchise is under new management then there's no issue, but if it's the same then I strongly urge for a review of management to ensure there's no pattern of intimidation. read more

Absolutely rude. Manager was the worst offender (had coupons and the manager said "we can choose not to take them, so I'm choosing not to take them" - to be fair he said you get to choose 3 to use, but that makes it even more arbitrary than a strict "we don't take them at all" policy). Table space was at a premium (during lunch on a Saturday with a semi-holiday weekend) so I get it, but it was a mad house in there. If you don't honor coupons, put up a sign - and please post online so we can avoid you altogether! Otherwise, after waiting in a long line, and then waiting to speak to a manger, it really makes the customer feel like you are being arbitrarily rude in deciding not to honor the coupon.
