It's become our routine to stop for a soufflé at a Panera before we drive out of town. This is the 2nd time I've been to this location and both times, they didn't have any soufflés. Today, it was because they were still cooking it and it would take another 10 mins. In a rush to get on the road and starving, I order the next thing that looks good on the menu - a steak and egg breakfast sandwich. I wouldn't have given this place such a poor review except that employees were yapping away about their social lives while several of us were waiting for our orders ... I saw a sandwich waiting on the food counter for a dine in customer but knew I had ordered mine to go. After a few more minutes of waiting, and having learned about the employees' weekend plans inadvertently from their loud conversations, I ask about my order. Turns out that the sandwich sitting on the counter, getting cold, was mine. Again, even after realizing they had not packed up my order correctly, they take their precious time as they continue to talk amongst themselves. I'm thoroughly annoyed BC it took forever to get my food, and I could have gotten my soufflé in the amount of time I waited. Needless to say, I will never return to this location.

How can I make your Tuesdays even better? Bagels!! Did you know that on tuesday at Panera Bread you can get a baker's dozen (13 bagels!) of bagels for about $7???!!!! Eat some, freeze the rest, have bagels all week!! This particular Panera usually has a great selection even at later times of the day! Thank me later

Yum! This Panera was friendly, fast, and the food was fantastic. I got an eggwich on an Asiago cheese bagel. Large hazelnut coffee and kind staff made for a great breakfast on the run.

My friend Judith and I wanted to do something to support healthcare workers-- valiant soldiers in the war against the coronavirus. We decided to buy lunch forworkers in the Covid-19 and Oncology units at Sibley Hospital in Washington DC. And we chose Panera to purchase sandwiches and salads. I spoke to Angel at the Panera location in Tenleytown, Wash DC. He made everything so easy for us-- and donated a bottle of water and chocolate chip cookie to go with each lunch. He also waved the fee to deliver the food to Sibley. Thank you Angel and Panera! Here we are with the Panera delivery in front of Sibley, weari g our face masks of course! From Andrea Barron

Went with my friend to Panera today, got a Mac and cheese, is there anyway frozone is real? Because I'm pretty sure he's working in the back of the TenleyTown panera and freezing the Mac and cheese. My first bite was like sorbet, sort of a soft texture but at the same time crunchy, you know what I mean? was asked if I was twins with my friend, felt offended because I'm much more attractive....Not to add that she is pale as snow looking like Ariana grande in season 2 of Sam and Cat, and I have my .000000000009% Lathina roots! I will not be made a fool by you BARTHOLOMEW, so grassyass para tu trabaha, but your service is no longer needed....I asked for a refund when I finished my Mac and cheese, and they said no!!! What a bitch! When I asked to reheat my Mac and cheese, I was directed to a microwave, Isabella stated, "bear right next to the pick up line" I'm sorry ISABELLA! But I don't know where the F*** the microwave is I was expecting a new packet of Mac and cheese that was warm, tasty, and worth my MONEY! but I was WRONG. So thank you Isabella, I can't wait until the day that 1000 watts of radiation replaces your job! I hope you contract the bubonic plague I was also made fun of, laughed at, MAIMED and pawed at by the cashier!!! When I stayed my name "Jessica The Coolest" (which is what my friends call me) I was made a laughing stock and humiliated in front of 23 Alice deal students that were stealing my rightful moment of peace, on top of all that, my iced tea was being swarmed by flies in the beverage isle. Never coming back to the TenleyTown Panera!!

Steak and white cheddar panini. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!
    Vanessa D.

Came here to get my usual, the steak and white cheddar cheese panini (ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!) and the green tea. Came when school just got let out so it was unbearably busy. So can't say I'll ever return around that time. I did try out the kiosk ordering for the first time. Was worth it because I was able to skip the long lines. Overall decent but again, I'll make sure to avoid the crowds.

I was craving kebab and this unfortunately did not hit the spot for me. We got lamb and chicken kebab combo (#5) and ghormeh sabzi. The meats were bland and very dry. Usually when I order lamb kebab I expect full of flavor and juicy, but this lamb was TOUGH like I had to really chew and there was no flavor. Ghormeh was bland too and not that many cubes of beef. Pita bread and rice were both good. The staff were friendly but not really helpful...we asked what ghormeh was and he just said it's "beef." I would say gourmet bazaar (Rockville) is much better.

The entree was a bit of a cafeteria style thing, but it fit the bill; the menu says it offers not only tofu but some red kidney beans in a stew of greens with lime flavor, and while I can't think of any similar combination I've had in all my travels, it works. The yogurt they offer on the side is a Persian staple, but what really shined was the fresh bread whose odor wafted through my vehicle as I drove my takeout elsewhere. A delightfully thin and browned creation, it was 100% worth adding despite the fact that they already gave me a massive pile of rice (with a bit of saffron rice on top of the plain white rice). This isn't high-end cuisine, but they delivered distinctive flavors in a timely and convenient fashion, and with a good range of vegetarian choices. Of their other locations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, some of them offer these stews with tofu mixed in and some do not, though falafel and a few other options remain available.

My elderly father is on his own still, and I check on him every month. The place I stay is walking distance from this restaurant. It also has the advantage of being near the Metro stop for Friendship Heights, on the Maryland side (the station straddles the District line). So I have met people here, and they can access it easily from either further toward downtown or as they commute from the suburbs. I always order the same thing, biscuits and gravy. I tend to be regular not only as to venues but menu items. They issue one of those little signs with a number for the table. They then bring out the order. Even when it has been crowded, they have been brisk. It has a moderate flow of clientele, so I have not had difficulty getting a table. If you are in the area and want something casual but where you can sit down and even linger a bit, this should fit the bill.

Since then we have been a few more times and the quality has gone significantly downhill while the prices have stayed high. Today we went in around 1 PM and the kitchen was out of a few things so we decided to play it safe with huevos rancheros, and we got three orders. They all came with the eggs over hard, a tomato slice and sliced red onion instead of pico de gallo, and Kraft parmesan cheese from the shaker. That's just really not cool when they're $18 a plate. We also got a dirty napkin wrapped around a set of clean utensils. I'm giving two stars because the coffee and the brioche french toast are still good. But I won't be going back anytime soon...

I came here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive throughout our visit, which made the celebration even more special. I started with the Caesar salad, and honestly, it was probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had! It was incredibly fresh and delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the prawns and polenta. The portion was a little on the smaller side, but what it lacked in size it definitely made up for in flavor. The drink selection was also impressive. They offer bottomless mimosas, but I opted for the espresso martinis, and they were divine and beautifully presented! Overall, we had such a great time. Good food, great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and even better company. I'm honestly sad to see that Acqua Bistecca is no longer open. I immediately had a snap a picture! Early as usual, I started off at the bar where they have a nice HH menu. I tried one of the recommended cocktails that was very good. The calamari was BANGIN! My friend schooled me and said it was tempura style which was why it tasted so good. Well, other restaurants need to take notes.. For real! Once we were done at the bar, the lovely hostess led us to our booth for dinner. We kept it simple, I had the Delmonico Ribeye sliced and she had the Branzino. She's a hard critic, much harder than me and she had to admit, both meals were BOMB!! Prepared perfectly, we both agreed.. We'll be BACK! Acqua Bistecca is a hidden jewel in upper upper NW Washington, DC, in a small newer living/shopping area with garage parking just footsteps away. I remember seeing this restaurant when it was being built and even went there with a colleague some years ago. I was in the area and knew I needed to get something that was not too heavy, so I said I decided on "Taco Bamba". The menu had changed a lot since the last time I was there, and I had the hardest time deciding. So, I ordered the "Its Chiko (Not Cheeko) Taco and The Noodler (Crispy Catfish) Taco". When I took the first bite of the catfish I was like "what in the shamrock tastes like this". Fortunately, it was the same reaction when I took the first bite of the Its Chiko. I tasted every ingredient, every sauce, every cut-up vegetable, the taste of how they cooked the catfish and shrimp, how they cooked the tortilla, the presentation, and how fresh everything was. It was all intermingled together so well to provide you the best tasting meal. Who does that; okay, many places try to imitate. However, these two have my vote today. It was funny listening (after I ordered my food) to some young male co-workers in line looking at the menu trying to decide what to get; hearing their reactions to all the titles along with the descriptions of dishes. Through the years one thing I've noticed is that for you to give a review you don't have to stuff yourself full of food to be able to articulate whether a restaurant food is good or not. It's not the quantity of food; it's the quality of the food. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other things on the menu. The restaurant was clean, bright (not sterile), friendly staff, with a pleasant atmosphere.
