We were getting something quick to pick up via the drive thru, before arriving at our campsite. My husband double checked the order at the first window , and the cashier said," Yes". When we got to the campsite, we were missing two 6 pc. nuggets. I don't really eat fast food anymore. But, I was driving back from Westchester last week and, I'll admit it.....a billboard got me. It had giant pictures of frozen, sugary beverages that reminded me of my childhood coke slurpee addiction. These beverages are called "Frozen Cokes" and "Frozen Fanta" (blue something or other and cherry). Pulverized ice, sugar, flavoring and some kind of color for $2 - any size. I got off the Saugarties exit and drove straight into the drive thru at this McDonalds. Moments later and just over $2 gone (think the tax was 14 cents), I had my "Frozen Coke". My inner child danced and I got back on the road. Then, a little over a week later, I was on my way to NJ and stopped here with my fast-food loving companion to both use the restroom and grab actual fast food. The review on the Big Mac was good and I did eat some of the fries (hot and crispy - the way they're supposed to be). And, of course, I had my frozen coke. So, if you're gonna hit a McDonalds, this one seems to be pretty good. read more

I am a third-generation Saugerties McDonald's customer. That parking lot is my happy place. I usually go through the drive-thru, but the driver's side window in my car is stuck, so that is not currently an option. Last night I went inside and ordered the newly-returned snack wrap meal. I ordered a double quarter pounder meal which came to $11 something only to get back to my hotel to realize they just gave me a double cheeseburger on a fancier bun. They gave me the correct bun that's supposed to come with the quarter pounder but NOT the correct meat. I guess they didn't think I'd notice but trust me I know my McDonald's lolol. If I wanted a double cheeseburger I would have paid $2 as opposed to $11. Also the woman who worked the drive thru was completely rude. read more

The public needs to know. Well, this McDonalds looked quite fancy on the inside. Seemed pretty clean. The service was quick and had some great deals when I was there. BOGO free Big Mac and 6-piece nuggets for $1. Good times. Got everything as expected. I also like how they put all the nutritional information of most of the food on the back of the tray paper. I was pleased with the McD, but it's McD, so 3 stars is the max. (And, I selected "No" for the good for kids question because of child obesity) read more

I will gladly give this a terrible review. 1 time only stop, and i try not to go outta my way to give bad reviews....but! I didnt realize the time, it was 10:59 and 50 seconds approximately. So i ordered a #2. Got denied cuz it was breakfast time. Girl who took my order was probably new, as there was a conversation between her and a co-worker, and gladly took my breakfast order. Guy behind me, 15 seconds later, literally, ordered a #2, without a problem. Please tell me to wait 15 seconds, or be a good service industry worker and give me my #2! This place is convenient but the service is not great. Always slower at the drive-through than any of the other McDonald's. Also make sure you look in your bag before you drive away because they almost always forget something whether it be napkins, sauce, your fries etc. The other McDonald's always give your receipt. If I am working I can use the receipts for my expenses. But forget about this location, I have asked numerous times and they are always out of paper in the printer at the drive thrru. Probably so you will not use the receipt to provide bad feedback. The receipts also offer a buy one get one free on your next purchase so it might be nice to ever get one. read more

I thought it was important to note that this McDonald's is much nicer than most of the reviews have noted. There was a long line for the drive-through but it was a double line which I'd never seen before and moved quickly. Being on a road trip with 2 young ones we opted to order inside so we could take a nature break at the same time. The inside was updated looking and clean. After leaving work late at night one night, my tummy started to grumble. I think to myself; "hmmm I'm pretty hungry right now. I wonder what is open this late that will satisfy those hunger after a long day's work". With my famish-charged super thinking, I remembered I had passed by a pair of Golden Arches on my way to work. Keeping in mind I have gained 15lbs since the start of the pandemic I thought; "I suppose that will do". I start my car engine and away we go. Concentrating on the windy road and with my eyes peeled to avoid any deer that would get in the way of my mission, in the background of my thoughts I was praying to Jesus that this late night bite decision would not be in vein and that I will not be sleeping in the bathroom tonight. Coming over a hill, I see it; the glowing, famous, epic Golden Arches like I've never seen them before. Looking in awe and amaze while a shot a dopamine rushes through my brain, I think "let's go daddy". I pull up to the drive thru, noticing a sign that read "limited menu available due to the pandemic". My eyes immediately shifted over to the 'limited menu' and noticed none of what I usually order is on there. I begin to panic. I hear "welcome to McDonald's, how can I help you". More panic. Time is running out. After 10x of me saying "can I get uhhhh", I said my order like a stream of consciousness; -McDouble, extra ketchup -2 mcchickens, extra mayo -large French fries -large tap water My order was in. The human behind the speaker repeated my order back to me perfectly. This was a good sign. I approach the second window to pay. I look into the little window and from my view, the restaurant appeared to be extremely clean and sanitary. I hand the young man working my money and he hands me my sack of burgers. An aroma explodes in my vehicle of the classic, triggering signature scent everyone knows of McDonald's. In that moment I had a decision to make... do I eat on the way home like a degenerate? Or do I eat in my car in the parking lot like a degenerate? I chose the lesser of two evils and pulled into the nearest parking spot. I open up my warm bag of goodies to see the crispy golden fries as if they were waiting for me, waiting their whole lives for this moment. Little did I know so was I... I reach in and grab one of those crispy bois. I take a bite. Immediately this feeling comes over me. My dopamine levels are through the roof and I have a flash back just like in the movie ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite of remy's ratatouille dish. My brain went back in time to when my mom used to take me to McDonald's when I was little and how much of a treat it was to go. I never thought I would have that feeling ever again. I reach into the bag and pull out my McDouble (that's what she said). I unwrap it, excited but also cautious that the fries could have been a fluke. The burger is hot. I take a bite. I'm riding on a high. This was the by far the best McDouble I have ever had. So fresh tasting (yes, fresh!) and juicy. I scarf it down with no regrets. I then move onto my next prey, the mcchickens. So far so damn good. This McDonald's has not let me down yet and it didn't! The mcchickens was divine. Fresh tasting again with the chicken perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Halfway through my out of body experience I see a car pull into the parking lot. I know they're going to see me eating in a McDonald's parking lot like an animal. We lock eyes. I don't care. No level of embarrassment can take me away from this blissful feeling. I polish off these gifts from the heavens with a feeling of something much more than just satisfaction. It's pure euphoria. Thank you. Shout out to all of the hard working employees at this establishment. You're beyond gifted. Unfortunately you will never see me again as I do not want to tarnish this great memory. We decided to use the drive up today to order a few ice-teas. The person running the register was friendly, although a little too busy to open the window at first. The other person was a bit too friendly, and was able to present us some presentable food(as in normal McDonald's style). read more

So we get to this McDonald's on a Wednesday night at 11:30 pm when they close at 12...or so we thought. We go to the drive thru to grab some late night grub only to find out after sitting there for 5 minutes that they were closed when we decided to call the store since the lights were still on. The employee who answered told us that they "had to close early" so that they could clean from their normal 12am closing time. While I respect they need to keep it clean, you don't "have to close early" because of it. To top it off, the employee said you're welcome at the end of the conversation when we never said thank you. Worst McDonald's staff and management. Terrible. Go to the Mcd's on Route 32, Malden or Kingston if you must have a fast food meal. Or better yet go to Chipotle or even Dunkin Donuts. The McDonald's on Route 212 has several employees with terrible snotty attitudes. Take your business elsewhere. read more
