I'll start by saying it's important to give benefit of the doubt and people who work in the food business have a hard job so it's important to work with them and be graceful. That being said sadly this issue has happened multiple times so I wanted to mention. First experience a few months back the person taking our order was rude, let it go as they could have had a bad day or just had a misunderstanding with our order. Today I came in and made our order, the app has a special buy a breakfast sandwich and get one free. Person on the taking my order said they can offer that but no egg. After asking a few question given the picture has breakfast sandwiches with egg I let it go. It's 7:30 am and not a big deal. When we get our order not only did I not get the extra sandwich, the McGriddle I order had no sausage LOL WILD. Just two little delicious sweet buns. My wife and I had parked and were eating in our car so going back inside to get it fixed wasn't an issue. I explained my issue and in Spanish. One of the workers said that " he ordered it that way. He said no sausage, and the other person said "well we have to give it to him" Thanks speak Spanish fluently so I jumped in and asked "why would I order it like that"? Who does that? Long story short I got my sausage for my now soggy sandwich and won't be going back, I'm sure they don't mind but for sure disappointing read more

Bru I got a burger with no meat and they forgot my little brothers happy meal I do not recommend this McDonald's.

So...I give places at least a couple of chances... but I hate this place. I've had issues with the app (that's a different Yelp review). and I've been inside once..horrible experience..I'll still let that go, but today broke the camel's back, I ordered on the app, so literally wrote the instructions of what I wanted. Got to the window and I was given my coffee, but instead of them making my coffee as I asked, they gave me less creamers and sugars and no stirrer...in the drive thru! so had to make it in their parking lot, and so I spilled it all over myself...did I find a trash can anywhere? of course not. read more

I'm just going to be very straight up this McDonald's sucks their customer service is terrible I order from here all the time because it's the closest one to my house the employees barely speak English they always get my order wrong something is always missing or made awfully every time I get fries they are extremely hard i always get a frappe and they never make it correctly I am beyond frustrated with them I order cheese burger happy meals and they said they don't have them they only have hamburger so I say hamburger add cheese and they still say I'm wrong even though I worked at McDonald's and I know that you can do that this place just has insanely bad customer service and food preparation read more

The food here is very overpriced for a McDonald's such as a Big Mac for 6.59 besides the drinks are 2 dollars with mainly ice. The nice part about this place is customize my burgers and the staff don't get the order wrong which is good. There's only one cashier tho which is bad and the place is crumby but it's a McDonald's so it's aight. read more

TRASH!! Workers are Rude and irritated, because the drive thru is wrapped around the corner. So when you walk in, a customer asks "Is Anyone working the front?" They Tell You YOU NEED TO WAIT!!" The workers are so rude and disrespectful. This is the first McDonald's I left in the middle of an order.

Use to be good but now short staff, food cold AND stale. Mac come on baby get on the arches.

I had the same exact experience as Marissa today. If you are going to have bathroom for everyone, they need to have locks on the door. I opened the door to both bathrooms and encountered men, and was worried about going to the bathroom because if a man walked in they could see me through the gap in the door to the stall. This takes non gender Id'd bathrooms to a level that is not ok and that does not feel safe. read more

Mill Valley has lost all but one of it's quick breakfast drive through options. McDonald's on Redwood is convenient, but consistently bungled orders and unhelpful service makes the experience a bummer way to start the day. The truly unfortunate thing, is the HIGHLY PROMOTED, BUT RUDELY DECEPTIVE ' McDONALS APP'. Ultimately, the time spent attempting to place a mobile order for just a coffee and a couple egg sandwiches, far exceeds the time it takes to pick up a healthier option at Starbucks. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME attempting use one of the app PROMOTED 'DEALS'. I selected the BOGO breakfast sandwich. The app prompts you with a full menu selection of Breakfast Sandwich options, allowing you to select 2 of the same or 2 different. Then it tells you that your selection is 'unavailable at this time'. Hmmm.... No Biscuits? eggs? Cheese? Go inside and order (where you are unable to use the app), and PRESTO!, the sandwich of choice is suddenly 'available' !?!?!?! McDONALD's: you lure customers to your restaurant with the promise of a deal, then renege??? What a way to win a customer over. PS: McDonalds UX/UI/dev, your crummy app can't distinguish between a 'Reward' and 'Deal'. Each order is allowed 1 'Deal'. If you use a 'Deal', app bumps out selected 'Reward' as a 2nd 'Deal'. I have accumulated enough rewards for several freebies, but have as yet been able to add a single one to an order. Management is an unfortunate joke too. Of course it's not their fault that the McDonald's app is DELIBERATELY DESIGNED to 'RENEGE'. But when you show management the problematic order, they suggest 'your device is broken'. Okay, that's just lame. The app certainly works when I allow it to charge me for both sandwiches. (Yeah, let's insult the customer by BLAMING their iPhone.) They try again, 'The deal must be expired'. Show them the DEAL is not expired. Finally, this manager will 'bait' you. 'You don't know how to use the app'. If you point out that expired deals don't post, and they should see that, they become infuriated, because you have now 'IMPLIED' that THEY don't know how to use the app. YOU have now INSULTED THEM. PATHETIC indignation. Not surprisingly, this McDonalds also fails to post any McDonalds Corporate Feedback number. End result this morning? Starbucks at Strawberry. Faster, healthier, tastier. read more

This is the letter that I am sending to corporate. They need to know. I think you need to shake up your Mill Valley, CA location, store #1561. My wife and I stopped while driving though at 6pm. There were no customers present and in addition to the openly yawning counter person there was one clean-up guy emptying the trash. The store was nothing less than filthy. The floor needed a wet mopping, the condiment area was stained and sticky and the two ketchup pump dispensers were completely empty. I did not venture into the dining area or into the rest rooms. I told the yawner about the ketchup. My order was simple: a daily double meal and an additional diet Coke. the yawner forgot the additional drink, so had to ring it up and I had to pay again. The sandwich was fine, a good menu addition. However, the fries were awful: barely warm, soggy, limp and obviously had been in-queue for more than the 10 minute limit. We discovered how bad the fries were once we were in the car and given the situation just kissed off the experience and threw the fires out with the trash. How sad to find a McDonald's restaurant in such a deplorable condition as "I don't care" attitude, dirty, lacking in condiments and inaccurate order taking and delivery. Enclosed are the two receipts. Please look into this sorry representative of your brand. I do not need a reply as I am certain that McDonald's does care about customer care and food quality far, far more than your Mill Valley operation. Your fan, read more

It's McDonald's ... and it's just like all the other locations. Sometimes your order is wrong. Usually, it's fine. Sometimes someone working there is in a bad mood. Usually, everyone working there is fine. The place is clean. The restroom is clean. They have free wifi (which does time out after a while, and this is a great reminder that I stopped for food, not to resume working for hours on end) and they don't seem to mind if you take up a table to get some work done. The negative reviews here don't make a lot of sense. I fairly regularly eat at this location, or one in San Rafael, or one in SF (mid-market). They have the same number of folks working and performing each role. Order accuracy is about the same. Just like at any restaurant in the world, when there's a rush you're more likely to see errors. The manager at this location is very nice, and not all locations have wifi. I would prefer to eat here than a lot of fast food and fast food type places. read more

Ok, it's McDonald's food. But the service here, both in house and drive-thru, is bar none the worst, not just of all the McDs I've visited, but the worst of any fast food restaurant, period. Okay, I have to put my two cents in, for what it is worth. First let me say, I am not a big fan of Mickey D's, no matter where it is located. Generally the food is just plain not healthy. The only thing they've ever had going for them is long hours and fast service. It's another of those places that getting in & out fast is the primary goal. I actually do not think this Mickey D's is any worse than any of them. All fast food joints have crap speakers. Admit it, have you ever been to one - Wendy's, Burger-King, A & W, Mickey D's, etc. - that had a speaker that worked clearly? Add a teenager with an attitude and a different language and I have always felt extremely lucky to get even close to what I ordered. Actually, the menu & charges screen that some of them have has helped a lot. At least you know that the order was received correctly. I have to admit, I occasionally drive through here - - if I'm in a real hurry and starving. "Double cheeseburger , please." It is only a $1. It isn't big, but it takes the hunger away while I'm driving. And I figure you can't mess a coke up too badly - and they never have yet. I have always gotten what I ordered - but, of course, I don't order that much. I would never consider eating a real meal here consciously. It is only a place to keep me going when I really can't stop - and, if In-and-Out Burger up the street had a drive-thru, I'd probably never come here even for fast food. One last thought - I love Mickey D's new coffee drinks. A tub of Iced Coffee for $2. Not as good as Peets or Starbucks, but it isn't half bad and it is WAY CHEAPER and faster than either Peets or Starbucks. And if you are a big coffee drinker, like me, the large size really is almost a TUB. read more

This location sucks!! Worst filet-o-fish I've ever had! The cheese was NOT melted & there was just a smudge of tartar sauce! They ought to be ashamed for serving that crap! Thanks for reminding me why I should NOT be eating fast food. Never again! read more

McDonald's - Fast Food Near Me - Mill Valley, California

I have a Fillet O Fish craving every now and then and this McDonald is well situated between SF enroute to the North Bay. However, both times that I get my FOF here, I have to open up the sandwich to see if the cheese is inside. Seriously, the cheese in this FOF here seems to be half the normal size! Tell me if I'm wrong if you happen to eat a FOF here. Also, for a busy location, there's only one station opened so expect a line. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER, a "manager" by the name of Miriam Garcia was rushing us when we were trying to place our drive through order and being VERY RUDE. we kept trying to add to our order since we weren't done and she kept telling us to pull forward after we had told her we weren't done. she proceeded to be extremely rude by asking us "What else do you want?!" multiple times, we literally just left and we are driving to the next one in San Rafael. there's multiple reviews about the customer service being rude, and we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. There can't be a more convenient on/off drive through McD's on the 101 North drive. E-Z freeway access makes this location a winner!!!!!!! Don't know how I ended up here at 3:30 am...Damn! I wasn't even that hungry :( I think it was more the fact that there was something open that was open 24 hours in Marin. I had a Big 'n Nasty and my buddy had the 6 piece nuggets with sweet and sour sauce - which was actually nastier (Personally I prefer the BBQ on anything from McDonald's). I have kinda felt bad for this place since the In and Out opened just down the street...any kid that grew up in the 80's and 90's in Mill Valley or Tiburon would understand the nostalgia of this place. This is the McDonald's that every kid dreamed of during his baseball or soccer game...it didn't really matter if you won or lost cause you new you were about to get a happy meal...and yell at your friends at the drive thru. I don't know, I guess I am a product of America - getting all sappy over a fast food place that clearly has the potential to kill and shouldn't really be called food, fast or otherwise... whateva - it's Micky D's and it open 24 hours....that's all you need know....you make the decision... read more

I promised myself that I would never review a McDonald's... but this experience could not go un-noted. I ordered a small snack to go (drive-thru): Filet 'o' Fish and a McDouble Filet 'o' Fish - the best I've had to date. Super soft bun (buttery!), fresh-out-of-the-oven fish, good cheese (as usual), and a perfect quantity of tartar sauce. I nearly creamed myself with each bite... McDouble - Particularly good today as well. Again, buttery soft bun, which pretty much made the burger better than the usual goodness I tend to appreciate. Lots of onion shreds added to the overall taste. At the drive-thru, the cashier asked me about my window tints (to my car). He said, "do you get tickets for your dark tints?" I replied, "no sir, I ALWAYS turn down my windows when I see a cop passing by... this includes rainy nights." We both shared a chuckle, he gave me the food I was about to enjoy (see above), and I was on my way. It was one of those good experiences you don't often find at places like a McDonald's (or any other chain fast food joint for that matter). 5 Stars for the creamtastic tasting experience..! read more

i was appalled when i walked into the bathrooms. it is mildly disturbing walking in and seeing a man in there using the bathroom. you can have gender neutral signs outside when your able to put locks on the door. if you can't do that then just for the love of god keep bathrooms male and female. i get it's insensitive but i don't want a man watching me go to the bathroom. read more

bacon! ranch dressing! fried chicken! lettuce and tomato! what a potential great sandwich! major fail first of all the meat patty is not even close to being the same size as the bun. how can that be? did something FALL off while cooking. i am reminded of the famous joe pesci line from one of the countless lethal weapon buddy films with danny glover and mel gibson. they ALWAYS f*ck you at the drive through. Why? because you've already driven off. you're not going to turn around and complain.... the french fries were hot and the filet o fish was aight. but this sandwich cost me $5 and it really wasn't worth it. I was shocked to see this place has so many bad reviews. I went here after camping at Angel Island. My companion, who didn't see the bad reviews, returned to the car with our order and the first thing she said was that people were so nice. And then she raved about the coffee. So, from an unbiased customer, the service was great and the coffee was exceptional. Maybe they've improved? Maybe we just went on a good day? Maybe the negative reviewers are used to a higher class of restaurant? read more

Poor Customer Service Watch out for the heavy set Hispanic manager!! He restricts your beverage refills to just one per visit. This rule is not posted anywhere in the restaurant, and it is appalling that he would make a big deal over repeat refills especially since refills probably cost the restaurant hardly anything. Keep in mind that other McDonalds locations have no problem giving as many refills as the customer desires, and the In-N-Out down the street has a refill your own beverage bar. Why go to this McDonalds location and endure the grief from this guy?? This manager should be ashamed of himself. Are restricting refills more valuable to this restaurant than losing customers? read more

Often times when I write a review for a place I dont like I call it "The McDonalds of *blank*" So would you really expect me to give this place a good review? I really dont even know why I'm writing this review. Just bored I guess. The burgers suck. Dont taste anything like a burger you would make at home. Is it even real beef? Probably- but all the parts you wouldn't want to eat, smooshed together in patty form! Nothing like grey, dry meat inbetween 2 buns. But why do you get 2 stars McDonalds? Cause you're open 24 hours a day and your fries are kinda tasty :) Your only redeeming qualities! Bottom line is dont eat here. No reason at all too. read more

OK, before I get into writing about this particular McDonald's location, I've got to admit that I am actually a McDonald's fan ...but I'm a fan of McDonald's that are ONLY located in Australia. Why? Because in Australia they tend to serve a higher quality meal, provide better service and they seem to accomplish this all with a higher level of hygiene. I rarely go to McDonald's in the USA - sorry, they just don't meet my standards on several levels! Now for my recent experience... My son and his friend stopped at this McDonald's location for breakfast last week. When they returned from their McDonald's visit, they began to experience 48+ hours of violent stomach problems. Worst of all, this wasn't the first time we've experienced problems here. After becoming ill after visits here, I often wonder why McDonald's don't pay more attention to their washroom hygiene - this is the likely source of their food borne illness problems. Regardless, this is the last time my family will ever go to this location. Be warned! read more

3 stars for the 24 hour window at the Mill Valley location. When it is the middle of the night you are starving and there is no time for such upmarket resturaunts such as denny's, this place is the spot. Somtimes it takes a little while because the cashier has to cook your food also. read more
