Right in the middle of a major rush, their entire system went down, and instead of things falling apart, John stepped up and led with professionalism, calmness, and efficiency that honestly exceeded expectations. Despite the outage and unsympathetic patrons orders kept moving, food came out quickly, and the team remained polite, organized, and attentive throughout the entire experience. John handled customers with patience and genuine courtesy while simultaneously coordinating the team and keeping operations running smoothly under pressure. What stood out most was the attitude. No excuses, no frustration directed at customers, just outstanding leadership and work ethic during a difficult situation. The level of service they provided would have been impressive even under ideal conditions. At 11:30 at night under a system failure during a rush, it was extraordinary. John demonstrated leadership qualities well beyond his position and operated at a level fit for management either at Wendy's or any business that requires grace under pressure. Wendy's is lucky to have employees like him. Also the place was exceptionally clean.

We've been through Frazier Park many times on the way to hikes, but I guess I had never ventured up any side roads to the actual 'downtown'. Upon entering, you think the place is small, but it keeps extending into a sizable dining room and there appears to be a back room that you can use for events. The staff was pleasant, the place was clean and organized, but there was almost zero ambience with only the slightest hint of a radio playing in the kitchen, but my friend said they closed at four on Sundays, so maybe it was the end of the day when we were there, but it was literally dead quiet. My boyfriend panics and says as we are almost to Gorman what should we do? I immediately went to yelp.com (thank you, yelp) and it read that there is a place called Koehler's Garden & Restaurant in Frazier Park, "take the next turnoff. " And so he did and we drove inland for about 10 minutes through windy roads and came across Koehler's Garden & Restaurant. Whooooooaaaaaa. Where are we? Let's go check it out. We walked into a wood paneled room that had a stage for a band and tables with chairs to eat at. We were greeted by the nicest young man name Joshua. We decided to eat lunch. We were the only ones there at lunch time. We ordered two cheeseburgers, an order of fries and two drinks. The bill came to $32.00 with tax. I think my BF overhead that it was $2.00 of Wednesday. The burger pattie was huge. Best deal in California. Sure it took a while to get served, but we weren't in any rush anyways. It gave us time to get to know the staff. The nicest people ever. One girl said that there has been fires and backups on the Grape Vine almost every other day. Trucks are just driving too fast and brakes are catching on fire. Finally another customer that had just moved to Frazier Park from Texas comes in for lunch too. So, my advice - if you get stuck on Highway 5 before you hit the Grape Vine, there is an escape route to Koehler's Garden & Restaurant in Frazier Park. And yes, we drove through the small towns of Taft and Maricopa to end up at Buttonwillow on H5. The best part of the trip is that we had great burgers and did not sit in traffic.
