We got a spicy chicken sandwich and famous star through the drive through. The food was fresh and warm. The bathrooms were clean!

Do NOT stop here off the 5 freeway! The bathrooms are not usable. There is no toilet paper. I tried to order food and let them know it was a problem. Not only did they not attend to it they removed all napkins from access! That is a clear sign it is an ongoing problem. No one would take a food Order. They were focused on the drive through. There was no one sweeping or cleaning. The other places had more people and were more clean. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience at this location today (May 3, around 11:57 AM). I tried to use a mobile offer code for the 6-piece chicken nuggets. When I scanned it at the kiosk, it didn't work, so I showed my phone to the Employee. Her name is "Lisa!!!!" However, "Lisa" raised her voice at me and asked what the code was for, even though it was clearly written on my phone. It was very uncomfortable and embarrassing to be treated that way, especially when I was simply asking for assistance. Eventually, she scanned the code and completed my order, but the attitude was very unprofessional. What made it worse was that right after, she was laughing and chatting with another employee, which made the situation feel even more disrespectful. I hope management takes customer service more seriously. This experience left a very bad impression. read more

Travelers: pass this location by and spend elsewhere. The Friday lunch crew is understaffed. Only 2 workers. I Waited 10 minutes for a warm, not hot chicken sando with the smallest portion of meat that I have ever received. Half the size of any previous sandwiches from Carl's. There were no more than 8 customers who had already ordered and they all were sitting, waiting. Nothing was ready for anyone on a heavy travel day lunch shift. Awful and unprofessional. Door says that they allow dine in till 10. Get there at 9:25pm and get turned away in the rain. Had just spent 4 hours in a terrifying storm and traffic and just wanted to sit down a bit, get food and use the restroom. If your dine in closes earlier, make a point to update your signs. This is my first and last time ever coming here. While on our way to Bakersfield we stopped here for a quick bite to eat, after all "fast food" should be a quick way to get food right? Think again, at least at this location. From ordering to actually getting our food took close to 20 min! And, there was only 1 car in front of us. Extremely unacceptable! So when hubby was asked if we wanted sauce... he said yes, Ranch. The restaurant manager said " I'm so sorry we are all out of ranch" ok, no biggie... When a different employee came to the window to give us our drinks, hubby asked her if they had ranch and ..... the response was " yes, we do" and gave us a few. What the heck?!? I didn't make a big deal about it. And the food was extremely skimpy, chicken was super thin, they no longer use wheat bread and there was like 1/2 a slice of cheese. For 2 combos total came out to: $24.07! Very bad service, wait times are ridiculous and food quality is not the greatest. There aren't many food options in Gorman but steer clear from this Carl's Jr. drive up about 15 more minutes and grab food in Lebec, a ton of options are available there. We were exhausted weary travelers and needed a break before we got back in the car. We pulled off because we saw a diner sign but was long closed. We ended up at Carls Jr. We were amazed we did not have to get a code to get into the bathroom like we did everywhere in San Fernando, Los Angeles, Riverside and Lancaster. All we ordered was coffee and dessert's so could rest and relax for a while. Bertha made fresh coffee for us and two truck drinkers that came in after us. I always get the Beyond burger and fries, the woman at the window is always nice and pleasant, the service at the drive through is pretty quick. I've gone inside as well and the ambiance is a typical fast food restaurant setting, which is fine. I only go there when I am just not in the mood to cook because paying $18 for a burger, fries and a drink is a little much. For $18 I can eat for a week with grocery store bought items. Over all I like Carl's jr. It's one of the best Beyond burgers as far as fast food goes. read more

This is a great place to stop by and take a break from the 5 freeway. One of my favorite burgers is the famous star and most times I do order one of them. Gorman can be a cold place in the winter and hot in the summer. This restaurant has always been comfortable when I've stopped by. The parking lot is easy to get in and out. read more

Came in on 8/14/23 at 1:50pm and saw a dirty guy standing at the counter with his dirty dog. He then called for the dog to stand up and put his paws on the service counter. A customer complained and the worker behind the counter just shrugged as if it was no big deal. Counter was not clean and she just continued and put food on the counter. I have had to drive thru Gorman many times on my way to Napa. It's always such a pleasure to stop in and have a great meal at Carl's. I am always greeted by a friendly staff. The place is always very clean both inside and outside. And the food is always served up quickly and always piping hot. My favorite is the double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. That crispy onion ring on top and the bbq sauce really make for a tasty sandwich. Paired with a side of onion rings and a shake and I'm set to go. So thankful that Carl built a restaurant here. read more

It's Carl's Junior so I won't spend a lot of time reviewing the food, but this location was clean (men's restroom could use some help though!). We waited a bit longer than one might expect (12+ mins) for our food, but it appeared to have been made fresh. We fed our family of 6 breakfast for $24 and that included 8 entree items, so for a quick bite on our drive from southern to Northern California, this place fit the bill--pun intended. read more

My husband & I didn't feel like cooking tonight and decided to run by Carls for a quick bite. When we pulled up to the intercom we were greeted by a very friendly voice! Dj took our order and packed our food quickly with such a positive attitude! We told him it was refreshing to get fast food with such hospitality! He even complimented our dogs and told us how grateful he was to serve us! I rate DJ 5 stars across the board! I was leaving Disneyland and this seemed a reasonable place for lunch, having stopped at another Carl's Jr. on the way down from Northern California a week earlier. This was a Green Burrito location and I got a Burrito Especial, which is like a Super Burrito (guacamole) elsewhere, but much smaller. I don't like guacamole but the mix of things was good. Service was good and friendly. It wasn't the cleanest place though, and in the restroom, there all of the toilet paper had been spun off the roll onto the floor, and apparently no one had checked for quite a long time. read more

Stopped by for a quick burger & shake and it took like 10 min to get our food. The drive -thru wasn't busy and there was 1 more family that came after us. A guy named Antwan was super slow, he kept walking around the back. When my husband asked him about our order he proceeded to say "you'll get it when it's ready" even though the burger was ready.
