"Holy $hit!" Were the exact words I said when I first walked into this McDonald's. My family stopped in for breakfast and a potty break on our drive up North to Fresno. Mind you, it was 630 am on a Friday and it was packed. Like the line was to the door packed. What I didn't like about this location was that it had those self serve screens where you could order and pay for your own food by yourself. They're fine and all, but some people were waiting in line for the screen and some people were waiting in line to order with an actual employee. So both lines ended up being merged into one another and of course people in general don't know how to handle chaos. It was just amusing to me that people were getting so upset over a damn line to order. And of course with all the chaos, I expected my order to be wrong, and it was. They forgot my OJ and there was cheese on my breakfast sandwich when I said no cheese. The employees were hustling to get orders out to hungry customers. We ordered sausage mc muffins with egg and the egg was cooked perfectly- soft and not solid powdery like some other mcdonald's. There were 2 long lines at the drive thru, that merges into one after submitting your order. Even with the long line, the food got to us in a timely manner. Staff are friendly. We had two different employees illegally approach us because my mother, who has a health condition which exempts her from wearing a mask, to ask her to put on one. They ignored our telling them that she has a health condition and cannot wear one. Even though we were social distancing they informed us we must wait outside. Do your research. Page 27 of the covid-19 employer playbook states you cannot approach customers about wearing a mask and must instead inform your supervisor, who then in turn asks HR what they'd like to do about the maskless customer. -We were traveling from OC and needed to stop by to stretch our legs and get some food into our system since we were doing a night drive to NorCal. We got into the dining room before they closed. We ordered on the touchscreen for faster service and because there were wasn't anybody behind the registers to take orders. -First off, not all the menu items are on the touchscreen which sucks but, its ok. At this point we didn't care and just wanted to get some food and get out on the road again. Process was easy and no room for human error to mess up an order. Waiting for the food took a little long which I don't blame because their drive thru was very busy but, we were still in and out quickly. -This particular restaurant is very nice with a nice large parking lot and drive thru. I can see it can get crazy because there is a Starbucks store next door along with gas stations and other restaurants. Overall, our food was great no complaints. They didn't have sweet iced tea in the dining room but it makes sense because they were about to close. read more

This is my go-to stopping place on my way to Disneyland, as the parking lot is big, the restrooms are clean and well-stocked, and the food is always hot and fresh. They encourage you to use their kiosks, but it is not required. Their tables light up and are really fun to watch and kids seem to dig it. They do not serve iced coffee which is a shame, but their soda station is sufficient enough for me. Customer service has never been an issue for me at this location. They have also always gotten my order right. I have never utilized the drive thru option before, so I can't speak to that. read more

I ordered three simple things: fries w/o salt, a large drink and donut fries. What I got was a mess. The fries I received were covered in nothing but salt. The drink cup I got was already bent and sort of falling apart in condition. It may as well have had a hole in it. Yikes. I put the lid on the cup and it wouldn't even stay on. The cup was in such bad shape that the lid didn't click on. The donut fries were hard and stale feeling almost. I was so upset. I told the cashier that the fries were inedible. They told me that they weren't able to do anything about them. I asked them if they could fry up a fresh order of fries for us. They refused. I'd never been refused a fresh order of fries like that before. I wasn't impressed with the donut fries at all but my lil one says she wants to try them again at a different location. We'll see if we do that and how that goes. The cup situation, I asked for a replacement cup and the cashier told me that I'd already been given a cup and that if they gave me another cup that it would mess up their cup count because their drink sales were measure by cup sales. I felt like that was such BS! No matter. I only wanted to get home safely after that. UGGHHHH Why are people so horrible sometimes? And why is it that I wasn't "allowed" to use my McD's coupon? I had a coupon for free fries. Because the scanner at the register wasn't able to read it, the employee wouldn't type in the code for the coupon displayed just below the QR code. Super cool kiosks where we could order and pay, and grab a buzzer to take to our table. The table was also super cool, with touch sensitive lights which we could play with while we waited. ( I think my daughter took a video, if so I will upload. ) Our delight ended there. Of the five sandwiches and wraps we ordered, we received zero as ordered. A burger was ordered, chicken sandwich was delivered. A grilled chicken wrap was ordered, a crispy chicken wrap was delivered. A quarter pounder was ordered, a double regular burger (burned) was delivered. (For the curious and the math nerds, a quarter pounder is .25 lb precooked, the regular patties are .10 lb precooked.) Two filet o fish were ordered, but they were out of filet o fish. We were not informed of this until we approached the counter after almost 10 minutes of waiting for our order. The fries were undercooked and greasy. The manager was apologetic and willing to fix things, but it's hard to believe everything could be that messed up. Stopped at this McDonald's one morning while passing through the area. That will be the last time I ever go to this McDonald's. There are plenty of other food options, some very close by, that I should have chosen. McDonald's employees, if you are reading this, please keep in mind that not only are you selling mediocre food, you are selling an experience. A lot of people start their day at your restaurant and a simple greeting such as "Good morning" can change the whole experience. If you smile, your customers will probably smile too. If you treat your customers rude, they may or may not return. When you treat your customers with complete disrespect, they will definitely not return. I am giving this McDonald's a two star review just for the nice girl who took my order. I had some questions about using the deals from the app, and as she was not sure she asked her manager, Merna. Before even hearing the question fully, she was already rolling her eyes. Each time she came to come "help," she was screaming at her employee. It was annoying as there was no one behind us in line and the drive thru was also not busy. I don't understand why she could not utilize her customer service to help us. I felt very sorry for the girl at the register and was grateful for her helping us and did not seem frustrated at all. ***This McDonald's is right off the 5 freeway on the way from Los Angeles to San Francisco; it is currently undergoing a renovation and it may have a very interesting look once they finish construction; their breakfast was fine though it did feel like a few options (such as their gourmet coffee drinks) were missing from the menu; the biggest problem though was the speed of service; it was not that busy and it took quite a long time for food to come out; this area can get very busy so I would be worried about how this McDonald's operates when it gets an onslaught of customers*** This McDonald's, like almost all McDonald's properties, has its own free parking lot. read more

Once your order is ready they call out your number and it shows as ready for pick up on the digital board. They had a makeover at this Mikadees. Yes Yes, I know I know. I shouldn't be reviewing a McDonalds. I just wanted to make my two cents here. I only stop by McDonalds because of those damn happy meal toys for my kids. Such a gimmick. However, I buy them to keep them happy. What didn't make me happy here was the fact that they didn't have milk. According to the person over the counter, all the milk were expired. The only option was to get a juice or to get a soda cup. Well, we don't feed our kids soda so juice it was. To add insult to injury, we were charged the upside fee of an additional $0.10 Really? You don't have product and you charge me extra for something I didn't want in the first place? Anyways, besides that the food was hot except for the fries. They also forgot my juice which I got right away when I asked. The decor is modern and had 1 family like table by the soda machine. The rest were color scheme coordinated art deco like chairs and semi comfy bench seating. While I understand this is a major rest stop, that there would be lines every time we come here to order. But that should mean things like restrooms get cleaned more often. I get pay and get to the second window and ask where is my orange juice, the woman at the window said that comes with the meal. I rarely review chain restaurants, especially fast food chains. I even less frequently eat at McDonald's. Right now I'm breaking all the norms. My dad and I had to take a road trip from an Air Force base in Northern California back to my family's house in Southern California. Left San Jose around 4 a.m. this morning, and arrived here around 8 a.m. to eat and to take a bathroom break. Let me preface with the bathrooms. Holy cow, were they unnaturally clean. Every stall was clean, which is absolutely bonkers, even for the morning at a stop like this. Fully restocked on everything...honestly it sounds unbelievable but I saw it with my own eyes. The decor in this particular McDonald's seemed to have been recently updated. Everything was very new and clean, bright and colorful. It looked like a brand new cafe. McDonald's must be trying to rebrand themselves, and it's working at this location. We also noticed new menu options and screens where customers can self-order their food, and pay. We didn't get involved with either, however. The customer service was at par with the customer service at Chick-fil-a at this location, at least for breakfast today. The manager brought our meal over and asked if he could bring us anything else, bringing back straws, jellies, cream and sugar, etc. CRAAAAAZY. The best part of this visit? The food was actually edible. Better than edible--the food was actually good!! The hash browns weren't over-fried or too greasy. They were literally the best I've had at any location, in my entire life. Same with the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. The bacon wasn't slimy or too hard, it was just right. The cheese is always kinda gross...what can I say? But the eggs and the biscuit were also made properly, and the sandwich as a whole also exceeding all expectations. read more

I went to this McDonalds yesterday afternoon, while driving up to Sacramento. I ordered $23 worth of food for myself and my three daughters who were in the car with me. I paid with a $100 bill. While the lady, Vanessa, was trying to hand me my receipt, she dropped my change. She didn't acknowledge it, so I pointed it out to her and she said "well you were pulling the receipt out of my hand (I couldn't see she had coins in her hand because the the way she was holding it on top of the receipt) so I laughed and said "bitch" like in a "reeaally?" kind of way, and said "that's why you out the change in someone's hand first." She then called me a "mother fucker" and threw my money into my car at me. Like, $76 bucks went flying in, in every which direction, at me, my kids in the back. Luckily, the manager Maria took care of me, but if you can't handle your attitude (blaming me for the change dropping), a tip on how to do something better, or even an asshole customer (even though, it was meant more of a joke and I was laughing), you shouldn't be on this industry.
