This McDonald's is brand new. It is in the plaza that Foodland supermarket is in. Usual routine, breakfast until 10:30 AM. They open 5:00 AM close midnight. Friday and Saturday nights the drive through is open all night. They have free wi fi, but only the two electrical outlets at the long table in front of the ordering station work, which must be intentional as the place is new. Update: This restaurant now has hotcakes and hotcakes with sausage available 24/7, priced at $1.99 and $2.99 respectively. Update: Now they are selling LOBSTER ROLLS for $9.99! read more

It is very possible you'll wait in this drive thru for 30 minutes or longer. It is VERY likely your order will be wrong. It is inevitable something will be left out; from ketchup, to jelly, to soy sauce and salt & pepper. If you don't specifically ask for it, don't expect to have it included! And there's often a chance some entire category of the menu will be out of stock or unavailable for some unexplained reason!. The food, when it finally comes, and if it is the item you actually ordered, is typically well prepared, and "on par" with any McDonald's result you would receive anywhere else in the world. We frequent this McDonald's; primarily for thier grilled chicken salads for dinner, and breakfast platers in the morning. This morning we drove thru their drive with a 42 minute wait, and were told no McCafe coffee drinks were available to order with our meal. Bringing back memories of my childhood, McDonalds on the neighbor islands still serve the fried apple pies. Well, at least I know they do on Kauai and the Big Island. While staying at Waipouli, I made a stop for several of these 2 for $1 specials... Forget the baked versions...the original fried versions are amazing. I even froze 6 of them and brought them back for friends on the mainland. No joke. read more

Place is typically clean and staff are super friendly. Really thankful that they dont give us trouble when we play cards here on tuesdays. My only grumble is drive thru inconsistency. You can be there anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes, the latter not making it fast food. But again, love their customer service.. read more

Just went in today around 2:15 pm and ordered one Big Mac, one large strawberry milkshake and large fries no salt. Cashier placed the order correctly then left because his shift was over which is fine. After a 10 minute wait which is fine because I ordered fries no salt, a Filipino (?) lady wearing blue (guessing a supervisor) called out my order. I went over and saw the Big Mac and fries, however there was no strawberry milkshake. I waited a couple mins since the lady was getting cookies for drive thru then she went on to take care of the following front counter order. Right after that, she rudely said 'can I help you?' and had this upset look. At which point I asked for my shake that I ordered 15+ mins ago, she made it and gave no apology. I used to work at a McDonald's up in Mililani and I know this is not okay. I know people have bad days but she shouldn't act like that to customers. read more

This is a McDonald's like any other, but with a few specialties unique to the Hawaiian islands. Mostly centered around the breakfast menu, but the pies are made the old fashioned way (fried). We ate in on a Saturday afternoon before heading to the airport and there was a fair amount of customers eating. We didn't wait long to order and the cashier was amicable. Food was prepared quickly and accurately. The quality was consistent with every McDonald's in existence. Anyway, we had a good, cheap and quick meal here and wouldn't hesitate to come here again. read more

I waited 38 minutes in the drive thru only to find out that they where not excepting credit cards and I didn't get to order anything. Maybe they should put a sign up at the beginning of the drive thru before people get stuck in line !!! This is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. It's Mcdonalds so what can you say. I always make it a point to hit up a McD's when in Hawaii for the fried pies. They never disappoint. So go in with you expectations set. Bathroom was clean, service was not as speedy as the mainland, but hey no rush on the island. Fried pie = happiness in a box. read more

If you want a reasonable breakfast with Portuguese sausage, come here! It was convenient since it was directly across from the hotel. You can do drive through or just walk across the street.
