Very convenient to have a McDonald's at this location at the top of the mountain. We live in the area, so my kids love to go to McDonald's. However, the location is very poorly- managed. Long waits at the counter and drive-thru, sometimes trash fills up and isn't emptied promptly, and they OFTEN run out of products. High- traffic locations like the Gorman McDonald's should not be running out of menu items and making consumers wait too long. Perfect location, but poor poor management. read more

Worst service ever. Ordered a lemonade through the drive thru and when I got it, it wasn't even full. AND it was water. She clearly heard me say lemonade because the receipt said lemonade and so did the screen. On top of that, she was very rude when taking my order. I stopped by here on my way to Berkeley. The food is actually really delicious here because I think it's more fresh than the McDonad's that we are so lucky to have in our neighborhoods. However, the staff here is just so weird. When ordering and receiving food, it's like these girls are questioning if what I'm ordering is right, and if they even put it on all the items in my bag, even if it's from two seconds ago. The bathroom was pretty clean and the restaurant is in a great place for trips to Sacramento. McDonald's is one of the best locations for a quick yet unhealthy breakfast. The wifi was however a little slow. The restaurant was very clean. read more

This place is busy, so the food is "fresh" and it's not sitting around. You won't get stale fries here. My only complaint is that the parking lot is hard to maneuver around. Its tight. I have a double cab truck and I had a couple of close calls. read more

Worst McDonald's ever. For a place that should be quick and fast because people want to get on the road this place was way too slow. Only drinks available were flat hi-c orange, fanta strawberry, powerade, ice tea and hot black coffee. No ice coffee. Slow slow service. Worst service I have ever experienced. They had no ones to break my 20 at the cashier and had me waiting 15 minutes searching. I ordered a chicken sandwich and they gave me the hot and spicy. When I asked for the regular, they said they were out and id have to pay if I wanted anything else. When I told a worker the soda machine was out, she said to ask upfront. When I did, they stared at me. I thought he didn't understand me so I repeated myself and this man was very rude and said that there was nothing he could do for me. I have noticed ads for jobs regularly for the McDonalds in Gorman. I am a regular there and wondered why. I think I know now. You have a gentleman I believe is a manager there. I am not sure of his name but he is a black gentleman. When I am there I see him interacting with his employees he is not very nice. I realize he can't be friends with his employees, but he should show some respect. I know I don't know the situation at the time, but I can't believe something was going on every time I come in. I come here often but I really didn't have the time to review it. By the review I've seen of this place it's all bad. when i cane in the food was very fast it was clean organized and everything was on poing :)! Maybe the manager is changing their ways of handling their job so a 5 star rating and hope they continue in improving and perfecting the care of a customer. read more

If I could give it no stars, I would. Super dirty, super gross. Flies everywhere, dirty tables, and when I asked if they can clean a table, they literally handed me a wet rag to clean it myself. Definitely not impressed. As a mcdonalds manager myself it bothered me to be in this store. The staff was lazy, except for maybe 2, when there seemed to be 9 in the store during a slow hour. The cashier was nice but did nothing at all in between customers, at one point being on his phone. They got our ice creams quickly, but the appearance of the manager that handed us the ice cream just seemed gross and ungroomed. Will avoid this stop on my next long trip. read more

I would give this place Zero stars if I could. Stopped over for a restroom and quick bite break on the road home. The restroom was dirty and the urinal didnt flush. Typical of a gas station on the road but a McDonalds? Inguess i really just expected better. Pulled up to the drove through and they had a paper sign with a hand written note listing the multiple things that they did not have in stock at the moment among them, ice cream, shakes, mcflurrys, apple pies etc. I heard the staff say to the people behind us that they did not have the drive through soda machines working. Soo ? ... idk what he did with that order. We ordered large fries. I asked for fresh and they gave stale what seemed rewarmed fries that also tasted funny. 6/7/2013. Rated LESS THAN 1/20th Of A Star!! Very Nasty, Disgusting, Unprofessional place, at best! The employees are frequently ill-mannered, severely lacking in professionalism and skilled customer service orientation. 20 minutes ago, a woman just went off on the manager about the disgusting and extremely unhygenic conditions of the place. There are flies everywhere. In the women's restroom there was the large dirty metal top of the trash can in the sink in the bathroom, two full and large bags of trash by the sink/soap area with the trash cans turned upside down and sitting on top of each bag of trash. I just now witnessed the front register operator do as follows: handle trash, handle a trash can, take a customer's order, accept currency, handle currency, give change, pull up and dump the fries into their metal storage bin, add salt to the fries, mix the salt in the huge fry vat container, complete and scoop up at least one order of fries, bag them, hand them to the customer ALL without a single wash of her hands... DISGUSTING!!! This lack of personal and professional hygiene seems to be the norm for this place.. read more

By far the nastiest, slowest, most dirty fast food (not just McDonald's) restaurant I have ever been to. Employees come back to work and without washing their hands, start fingering the food into containers/trays. Trash strewn about the floor, dirty old mop water sloshed around the kitchen and dining area. Rude and inattentive staff. Took about 20 minutes to get some fries and nuggets. And somehow when I got fries, nuggets and a drink, they messed up my order 3 times. Honestly not even deserving of one star. read more
