I haven't been to this location in along time and have no interest in coming back. They remodeled, it was clean. I wanted breakfast the $5.00 meal but I did not want the Mcgriddle I wanted the Mcmuffin. Since they have the kios now there's no one at the counter they are in the back they only come to the front to call your order number and hand you your meal. The employee called out the order number and gave the guy this food I said excuse she turned her back and walked away I was in close range so I know she heard me. She took her time coming back and I said excuse me again (no smile, no good morning). I know it's not common to review a McDonald's but I have had consistently good experiences at this location. When the Little Neck McDonald's was undergoing renovations, I started using the Glen Oaks one and I am continuing to go here ever since. I like that it's never that crowded, even during the lunch rush. There is no drive-thru which is fine because parking is plentiful. And the kiosk is super easy to use. I make sure I order everything exactly the way it should be. I try different sauces each time and even started adding lemon to my Diet Coke. These are things I couldn't do as easily in a drive-thru. And I like that they put the sodas in a bag - makes it easier to transport. Staff is helpful in general. read more

New management would make the restaurant better. I walked in to pick up my order of Large Fries & Large Drink. I requested fresh fries for my order. The employee stated that my order has "been ready" and I cannot get my fries replaced. I requested for FRESH FRIES again and the employee turned to her manager. The manager eventually replaced my fries. Upon receiving my order, the manager instructed the employee to let me know that on this order, she will replace my stale fries but next time, they will not replace my fries. Like they were doing ME a favor by giving me fresh food instead of cold food that could have possibly been old and contaminated from sitting for a period of time. So it was basically confirmed that no matter what condition my food is, fresh or not, I have no choice but to accept it. There will NOT be a next time. I am not taking a health risk. I do not completely fault the employee though. I blame the manager for this completely unsatisfactory visit. I placed 2 orders at this location and the fact that I was refused the opportunity to receive fresh food, makes it very untrustworthy to eat anything else from this place. I will not return here. The service here was absolutely terrible. After not having anyone to order with, I ordered on the kiosk. 15 minutes later my food still has not come out. So I asked for help. They never even prepared it. 10 minutes later my food comes out, I asked for sauce for my food. She gave me one, so I asked for another (ordered over 25$) of food. She told me no. From the moment I walked in, my experience was terrible. I told the manager I had placed an order online, but she insisted there was no order under my name and claimed I was at the wrong store. She then began yelling at me, telling me I needed to learn how to use the app, which I found extremely rude and unprofessional--something I've never experienced before. Eventually, another manager was called over, who confirmed that my order was at the correct location and explained I simply needed to indicate that I'd arrived in the app, which I wasn't aware of. Rating would be higher except for frequently being asked for money inside this McDonald's by homeless, mentally ill or other panhandlers. It's a problem in the area but inside a place of business it should not be tolerated. Any disheveled person loitering inside without making a purchase and walking around to tables asking for money should be asked to leave. read more

This McDonald's is located on Union Turnpike located in a shopping center with many other store fronts. This McDonald's does not have a drive thru, however they have plenty of parking spaces. When you first walk in it's very well clean and seems to be newly renovated. They have a kiosk where you can place your order. The staff at the cash register was very friendly, and welcoming took my order very quickly. Less then five minutes I received my order and everything was nice and hot! It seems like this location becomes very busy fairly quickly, but they have great staff that seems to keep this McDonald's moving at a quick pace. I love the fact that I ordered a bun-less burger and they substituted the buns for lettuce, which I must say not many McDonald' does that. The experience was like any other. It was fast food and I enjoyed it more than I should have. The only problem is, their chicken nuggets looked slightly grey when I opened the box and they had a slightly harder/denser texture compared to nuggets I get at other places. I showed the nugget to my friend and she agreed that they looked, felt, and tasted different. Nothing seriously different, but different enough for me to notice. This McDonald's is warmly lit, with comfortable cushioned seating in table and bar-style configurations. There is free, VPN-friendly Wi-Fi. I didn't know how I would feel about kiosk ordering, but it was a pretty cool, modern experience. You order at a kiosk, take a table marker, find a seat, and staff deliver your order directly to your table. The kiosks accept NFC payments. The environmental music here could be slightly softer, and one should be wary of those seeking a little charity, but otherwise this particular McDonald's could make for a decent study environment during off-peak hours. read more

Decided to have brunch in this newly renovated branch before shopping to the next door shoe store . Oh my! They did a cool , new and eye pleasant dining place . Setting is of a cafe style, catering more of adults . Definitely , students of neighboring middle schools still remained favorite hang out place. The staff are friendly . One staff member handed out their weekly promo coupon and my son fell for Buy 1 get 1 free Big Mac sandwich. I heard that they will no longer serve it soon. It is his Mc D's favorite and definitely will missed it. I had their grilled chicken wrap. Mc Donald is trying their very best to go to a healthy way and their wrap won my vote that they truly is. Price has risen a lot as compared to my last visit. I would say though, still one of affordable food chain stores . This location has progressively gotten worse! I go one day and they tell me that breakfast is served all day. A couple days later I try and order via the mobile app to pickup here and it wouldn't let me. I go in person and the lady says that they changed it back to ending around 11. I ordered today before 11AM & had someone else pick it up for me and they didn't know how to look up the order number on their system so the person had to reorder it and I had to cancel my mobile order last minute. Is it just me or have fast food joints been revamped to be made to feel more classy, comfortable, and cozier than before? Maybe since I haven't been to McDonald's in awhile, I was surprised with the warm color scheme, comfy seats, and LCD screen that this location had. I stop by one evening because I was really craving some soft serve and we just happened to drive by a McDonalds. We were served quickly and was able to get in and out of the store as quickly as possible. I did notice quite a few loiters here so I probably would not feel that comfortable eating here. However, as a to-go option, this place is more than perfect. PS: Parking in the back. This makes getting your greasy fix just that much more easier. read more

The renovations made the place look cleaner. The summer deals are great. However, I am extremely disappointed a changing station was not found in the bathroom. You would think during the renovation there would have been a changing station added. I was there with my 7 month old and had to change her diaper in our car. In addition to not having a changing station, they didn't have napkins. I walked up to the counter after purchasing our food and asked for napkins. The worker looked around and he handed me a soiled napkin from the counter they were the food was being bagged. Ordered a large caramel Frap. $4.24 with tax. I received a Frap in a medium cup. Told them that I ordered a large. The kid says this is a large. I pointed to the large cup and said that was a large. He said not in this store. So you're telling me that different McD's get to choose what size the drinks are? $4.24 for a cup of ice and you guys want to play size games??? I like the way they renovated the place and have had no issues with my orders. They usually have people in and out and there aren't huge wait times for the amount of orders they get. It can get a little unruly during school times because of the elementary school across the street, so be mindful of you plan to go during that time of day. I can't complain about this place at all. Disgusting employee manners. I had ordered my food and asked for a cup of water and the employee gave it to me with the lid on. After finishing it I looked at the cup and saw a lot of black dirt-like powder on the bottom, clearly already there. I calmly went to the cashier and told her, and was greeted with an attitude. "Did I give it to you?? Talk to the manager." I have been calling for the past hour. The phone just keeps ringing and ringing. Then the fax picks up. I went on my iPhone order the app to fax them my problem and still no one has responded. I called 22 times and still no answer. The store does not close until 11:20 pm. I ordered my son a happy meal four piece chicken nugget meal and I did not receive his chicken nuggets. I ordered his meal in Glen Oaks and drove all the way to Harlem. The reason I ordered his milk in Glenoaks was because I was picking him up from his grandparents house after my 12 hour shift of work. I Did not notice his happy meal was incomplete. I do not appreciate that no one is answering my phone calls. My son is crying hysterically because he sees his McDonald's box without his chicken nuggets. I am in a Domestic violence shelter and I am placed in a horrible neighborhood. It is so much of a dangerous neighborhood for me to go outside late at night at this time to re-purchase his mail with my last $5. At least the company can reply to my fax and they still have not done that, I understand you're tired because they have been working all day but so am I and if you choose to work in the business of customer service you do not treat your customers with disrespect. The manager was very rude and now I have to wait until Monday to call corporate to see how they will handle the situation.
