Arrived around 6:30pm on 4/8/25. About 6 cars in front of me at the Drive-thru and I thought, "Well, THIS will take all night!" I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how quickly the line of cars moved along. The gentleman who took my order, the lady who took my money, and the young girl who gave me my order were ALL professional, smiling, and very efficient! The food was hot and my order was filled exactly as expected. I wish I had this experience at EVERY McDonald's drive-thru! I hope if management reads this, that they can trace the time and date of my order to the people who were working those positions and let them know that they are awesome! This McDonald's seems to have issues with getting orders right. I was missing fries in the Happy Meal, my husband had no sauce for the nuggets, the table next to us had no cheese on their cheeseburger, and judging from the other reviews here, this doesn't seem to be uncommon for this location. We ate there, so we were able to fix it, but still annoying. Dining area inside is small, but the people we dealt with were nice, the bathrooms were clean, and they were constantly cleaning the dining room while we were there, so those were pluses. The food itself was fine, but getting the orders right in the first place needs some work. read more

The inside of this McDonald's was just renovated with faux marble and wood walls made of plastic. In the process, much of the seating was removed for some reason. The owner / manager is still nasty and rude as ever. All she seems to do is yell at the staff. I should say scream at the staff. It's a shame cause most of the staff are very nice hard working people. They shouldn't be treated like this. It's horrible. read more

It's a McDonalds, they're all the same and this one is usually pretty fast, staff has always been friendly to my experience, I never hear "oh our ice cream machine is broken" which is a typical experience at most McDonalds I feel like. Not your typical McDonald's restaurant this place tries to position itself more as a café. For example there's a large selection of coffees and lattes unlike most McDonald's. There's also some nice outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. The brick exterior also differentiates itself from a typical McDonald's. Unfortunately this location does have some issues. For example there is very little indoor seating compared to a typical McDonald's. You can see my photograph on the day I went there for lunch some of the tables were even closed which really made it hard for anyone to find a seat. Not sure why this restaurant has such a small seating area. And not too surprising the times I've been to this location there have been mistakes or mixups with my order. But that is something that is common with most McDonald's. I have driven through the take out here and was not given any ketchup or napkins. I'm not sure how they expect a typical guy to eat a burger without ketchup and napkins there's no reason you should have to ask for those things. But on the plus side I do like the design of this McDonald's and all the extra coffee options. It's just a little too cramped inside. The drive-through is not a bad option they actually have two windows for placing orders. Although if you come at an off hour only one window is open no matter how many cars are in front of you. If they made a habit of keeping both windows open I probably would go through the drive-through more often. read more

This place is the worst. I always order a burger in a specific way from McDonalds. Every time they get it wrong. Today they got it wrong, I went through the drive thru a second time. They tell me to pull ahead. We wait a few more minutes they bring out the SAME EXACT BURGER I just handed them. I could tell because the bun had a mark from my thumb when I originally checked the first time. Finally went through again and the girl at the window where they give out food in the deep blue shirt smirks and laughs at me when I explain the situation. I then proceeded to ask for my money back and they asked me to wait a few more minutes and pull ahead. I finally got my money back. The worst part of it all was the 3 times I went around the same girl in the deep blue shirt was wearing her mask UNDER her nose with her nose out breathing all over the food she hands to the customers. VERY UNSANITARY IMHO. read more

Well I am pretty sure that most people go to McDonald's because they are busy and it is a delicious alternative , although some things I don't like, Everything else is delicious. I highly recommend the Quarter ponder deluxe with fries and a vanilla shake. McDonald's freehold is a little slow with their online order system, but the drive thru and dine in are seamless. read more

Please don't tell my wife I came here!! You know you should keep driving by but you can't help yourself. We all have our McWeakness. Maybe it's the Big Mac, maybe it's the McCafe, for me it's the sausage McMuffin with egg. I can't help myself. This is a new building with all new appliances. It's kept pretty clean and they do a good job getting you out quickly. The dining room feels a bit cramped to me but I don't eat here anyway. It's the new, standard setup with the ordering kiosk right up front. My food came out quickly and it was hot! The coffee here is rediculously hot, too hot to drink, just the way I like it. As I bit into my Sausage McMuffin, my heart skipped a beat. Was it because I was biting into my favorite sinful treat or because my heart was preparing for a dose of greasy, sausage goodness? Drive through. Joe Pesci said they always fu¢k you at the drive through! Just awful. I ordered a plain, large double quarter pounder with cheese and a diet Coke. The fries were tasteless, cold, and stale. The Coke was not diet. There was no cheese on the cheese burger. The patties were dried out. I went here to try a Shamrock Shake. A family friend convinced me that it was worth a stop at McDonalds to try one. I say it that way as I usually don't eat at McDonalds. The service was good as they had two screens in the drive through line that you could talk to for ordering. This was great as the lady in front of us was ordering the entire menu. After we placed our order for two shamrock shakes, we did still have to wait for her to complete her order. They also had both windows open but again we had to wait for the lady in front of us to get all 8 bags of food she ordered. I appreciate the effort McDonalds has put in having the two of everything to make things quicker but if you have someone like this in front of you because your stuck in the drive through lane you just have to wait regardless. All in all the shamrock shake is not bad. It's a super minty milk shake with a canned cherry on top with whip cream. I don't think I'll be going back for one any time soon. Not sure I understand the fans of these things and other things like the McRib. All in all if you are the type of person that frequently eats at McDonalds this location was just recently redone and looks to still be in great condition. Service was good and they did there best to keep the line moving despite the person in front of us. I don't fit the McDonald's mold but for those who do this seems like a decent location to stop in and get something to eat. read more

If you go to the McDonalds drive thru in Freehold at night, be prepared to wait a long time for your food and with part of your order missing. I don't go often but every time I go at night, I am always missing food that I ordered. Today the lady at the window even asked if the order was complete and the guy working there said yes. This review is based on customer experience at the drive through. I did a mobile order where I redeemed a free Big Mac through the app and paid for a fish filet sandwich plus regular fries. After I paid through the app , it gave me a code and told me to tell the code to the cashier for my order. She gave me my receipt and I saw that it was for a higher cost than what I paid for. I tried explaining to her that I only paid for the fish sandwich and fries and I was supposed to get the Big Mac for free, but she waved me on to the next window. I got the manager and he said that he couldn't help me because I paid through the app. I told him that I got charged a different cost than what I paid through the app. He said he couldn't help me. This isn't the first time that I got charged at a different rate than what I paid for through the app. I have a feeling that this place doesn't honor the rewards and promotions through the app but they're not saying it. I was wondering how they were able to control my payments. So, paying through the app is useless for this place. They charge you what they feel is right. The manager at 1:30 am locked the doors despite the sign stating 24 hour DINING ROOM. Not drive thru. I had to consistently knock on the door and put my foot down because the sign stays 24 hour dining room. She remained nasty the entire visit. So this is my neighborhood McDonald's where I've been 100 times. This is also the place I ate my very first cheeseburger in 1986 LOL for my sixth birthday party. I've always had fun memories going to not only McDonald's but this one in particular. The reason for the poor review it's because I'm Christmas this past year on my families way home we stopped here just to get a little something to hold me over. The hours of operation said that they were open but no one was to be found. The same happened on New Year's eve. I find accountability to be very important and hopefully the rating I gave them does just that. read more

This place deserves no stars. My order had three mcchickens and they tasted like uncooked expired meat I almost threw up. I think I'm scarred from all fast food places after trying that. My boyfriend also ordered four 6 pc nuggets and they gave us ONE FOUR pc nugget so he had to drive all the way back while his food got called to fix the mistake and they made him pay for the nuggets he had already ordered and had to drive all the way back like no compensation for their stupidity and disgusting service. Hello this is Josh Millchman I was just visiting the freehold McDonald's right off of Route nine and I was greeted by three excellent workers they made my time exquisite it in I was greeted the entire time and I never had a problem there was a slight problem with my my food order but they fixed it immediately there's no problem working with me on figuring out what was wrong and I was the entire time and perfect satisfaction I'll give this place five stars anyone that would not clearly did not visit this restaurant they went to another one or they were here while these three workers were clearly not on shift they were incredible I would promote them to management literally as instantly as possible. This is a 24 hour location. We wandered in around 12am and there were still customers inside. Originally we were looking forward to going to a Wendy's which is right across the expressway but the restaurant's drive through was the only thing that was open. Also the parking lot was dark. Sorry Wendys we went to Micky D's instead. They didnt charge me for extra bbq sauce when I asked for more. At that time the tables hadn't been cleaned due to limited staff. The wait time was reasonable and I was glad to know they still offered deals even if they weren't advertised in the store window (6 piece nuggets for a dollar and two apple pies for a buck!). Bathrooms were clean and the location has a fancy soda machine. There were enough people inside that we felt safer. read more
