The people that work here are amazingly patient. I bring a group of individuals here every other week or so. And they kindly wait on us and wait for my guys to be able to order. Customer service is key nowadays when people are discerning about where to spend their hard earned dollars. We ordered 3 sandwich's ($35 bill) and I asked upon pickup for a cup to grab some ice. (My son scraped his knee and we were a ways from home). The kind young man handed me a cup without issue. The female associate named Ashley, grabbed the cup out of my hand and returned it to the stack of cups even though I already touched it. She then told me I needed to pay for it. That will be my last order from Jersey Mike's. You've now lost a customer over a .03 cent cup. Brush up on bigger picture costume service for your lovely female staff. I tried to order on line for delivery, and my credit card was tagged as" invalid ". I checked 3 times to make sure I entered it correctly and then called the bank to confirm. Once I was positive it was indeed valid, I called the store to see if they could take the number over the phone. The gentleman who answered said he didn't know, and put a lady on the phone. I explained the problem to her and she said she couldn't help, but I could go to pick it up. I explained I couldn't pick it up because I had no car. She said "That's not my problem". Then said"I can't help you". Horrible on line experience and even worse customer service. As soon as I walked in, I asked very nicely if I could use the bathroom and I got a very hostile and nasty response. Once I had placed my order and was waiting in line the worker, (I didn't get a name but female, around 18 years old, dyed red hair in the front strands, and piercings) was making fun of my appearance and outfit. After, I had asked to change the size of the bread then she tossed the other bread on the glass towards us and audibly sighed. The entire time they were very volatile and short towards me. My two friends came in to use the restroom aswell, and both the worker I previously mentioned and her coworker ( male, curly greasy long brown hair) were instantly rude to them; my friends weren't allowed to use the bathroom without purchase but I had spent 29$ for only a sub and a drink and chips. And I was not even offered a receipt when asked. After my friends left the workers continued talked loudly about my friends and made jokes about how they weren't allowed to use the bathroom. Now I understand it can be a long day and things happen but I felt this was not a good experience and the workers mentioned should not be working in customer service. read more

All the regular offerings from Jersey Mike's are available here. You will not find yourself wanting. This place makes quality subs of every type. The menu is quite extensive and of course you can always choose the contents of your sub on your own. Very solid, standard Jersey Mike's location. My sandwiches are always up to par and delicious. The staff is also very friendly. My usual is the #13 but the Turkey #7 is good, some of their hot subs are very good and made to order just like everything else at Jersey Mike's. So usually I will order from any Jersey Mikes and the sub is perfection. I ordered a sub from the Red Bank location and a co worker picked it up. My co- worker explained that the place had a significant line of customers. Neither one of us mind and understand a quality product is worth waiting for. This Jersey Mike's location is fantastic. The staff is friendly, remembers previous orders, laughs at my jokes and makes the experience fun. An additional plus the entire place is very, very clean. $10 for a "regular size" sub is way too much money... Though the product maybe good and fresh... this sub shop can't compete with the competition when it comes to price... Elsie's on Monmouth street still beats them ... yes it has a $10 sandwich but twice the size of Jersey mikes and... Flavourful, very very good... to be fair... I like the location at home and decided to try the Red Bank spot. Glad I did. Ordered a Giant Philly Cheesesteak Sub. Fresh grilled steak, peppers, onion and cheese on a store baked roll. This store has improved dramatically since my last review. There is still room for some improvement but it's been much better lately. The staff is always friendly and courteous, but the line moves a bit slow depending on who is working. The food handlers are still wiping their hands on their aprons and touching their hats at times. They need to change their gloves more often. Also, the grill man often puts a raw frozen steak or chicken on the grill and then touches your bread, or sometimes moves to the slicing station or fixins station and doesn't change to new gloves. When this happens, I usually ask them to change gloves and they do, and explain why I requested them to. These issues are not isolated to the Red Bank store, I've seen it in just about every Jersey Mike's I visit frequently. This is a general training issue which needs to be addressed by corporate upper management. Wiping hands on aprons and touching raw meat, then touching prepared food ready to consume is a big no-no in proper food handling. At least you can see how your food is being handled though. read more

Tried again the next day with Tuna sandwich. Tuna was dry and smelled funny. Maybe it's the red bank location? Alex in Red Bank was most accommodating when GF bread wasn't available due to a delivery shortage. The Sub in a Tub was a great Plan B and we appreciated the "apology cookies" that he gave us. We've ordered take-out cold subs twice and we loved it both times, and we will definitely return. The restaurant is very clean in both the dining area and at the counter, and I wouldn't hesitate to eat on site. The menu board is very easy to read (large print) and despite a good amount of foot traffic, the staff keeps the line moving. The sandwich makers are all very friendly and they are well trained. The food is very fresh, including the bread for the subs, the roast beef, and the tuna. The restaurant is well stocked with a large variety of chips.
