Today was the last time that I ever go to this McDonald's location. I have been here less than six times and yet every single time I have waited no less than 5 minutes but up to 16 and 1/2 minutes. Today I figured since there was nobody at the speakers and only three people in the Drive-Thru line that I could get in and out quickly. Instead I was asked to wait for around 45 seconds, no big deal, until another car pulled up at the second speaker, I was ignored and they took their order instead. I don't expect much when it comes to fast food, but this is hands down the worst run fast food business I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. If my restaurant was being run in this manner, I would be finding the weak links and get my business running better. read more

Never been to a fast food restaurant with such high standards in fernley. If you dine in, an option to order from a kiosk is a quick, user friendly, and convenient alternative than waiting in line to order. Your food will be brought to you and you'll be greeted and waited on by the friendliest staff every time. Food is always hot and well prepared. Drive thru is usually busy no matter what hour but they've never messed up an order or missed an item during a rush. I praise this McDonald's highly. Pretty disappointed went to get food around 3am waited about 20 minutes because there drive threw is under construction so that I understand then when I get to the window to order my food they tell me they do not accept card that early in the morning.. Really who doesn't except card now a days! I've been here about 124 times now. Twice I had a problem with the coffee being too "lukewarm" but other than that they really are trying to provide a quality service and product. Of all the McDonalds WE HAVE ALL BEEN TO, the one in Fernley ain't that much different. In the end we get what we pay for. read more

Started to tell them my order and they thought I was done and I asked them to hold on so I could finish and was dismissed very rudely. Comment: I ordered the big breakfast with hotcakes and a coffee. I did not get the coffee I ordered when I asked for it the lady told me I didn't order it. I said" yes I did "she said "no you got an extra hash brown that's what you ordered." I said "no I ordered a coffee. I don't want an extra hash brown I would like a coffee please." The lady said "It doesn't come with a coffee." I said "I know that's why I ordered it." Again she said "you have an extra hash brown." I said "I don't want an extra hash brown. I want a coffee, you can have the hash brown back. I want a coffee." Then she rolled her eyes, shook her head no, shut the window, walked away and stood by the take out counter. Apparently she was serious about no coffee for me! I didn't know McDonald's was so strict about who gets coffee. THEN when I get home there's NOT an extra hash brown, just the one that comes with it! The last 3x at this restaurant my order has been wrong. I know there's a staff, food and coin shortage so I try to be extra patient. However this was ridiculous and had nothing to do with shortages! We recently had a very nice breakfast at this McDs while visiting family in Fernley. I was shocked at the 1.5 stars which seems to come from a lot of nonsense reviews from disgruntled yahoos. Our experience was excellent. The restaurant is clean and modern and the staff was very friendly and competent. Our order was taken quickly and the food was brought to our table by a staff member who graciously returned with salt/pepper and hot sauce for us. My wife and I get the low carb version of the breakfast sandwiches and we got a nice presentation of this w/ our two sausage McMuffins - sans muffins - on a breakfast plate w/ knife and fork. The coffee was hot and very good - and this experience was repeated on a second early AM visit. You see complaints about the drive-thru and "lukewarm" coffee. We drove by around 6 AM on our way out of town and the drive-thru or perhaps through (not "threw" as some addled Fernley reviewers seem to think its spelled...) operation was super quick, perfectly executed and the coffee was HOT and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of McDs in general but this store is well run by a caring and competent staff who deserve credit for their good work and customer service. read more

I bought two mc flurries and as I sat at the drive threw window watching the nasty guy make them, he sipped and picked his nose and sneezed on his hand that he was touching all the flurry cups with and spoons. Than I watched him had both my sons and my fluffy to the window guy and he looked at me and walked to the back with them. I waited way to long for him to come back to the window and when he finally got them to me he was laughing and looked like he did something to them. Only went in for $1 soda. Drive thru was packed so we went in. Also order double cheeseburger, no pickle. After waiting 15 minutes (literally) the kid behind counter hands us a burger and gives us an apple pie for our wait. I think cool. We get to the car. I bite into apple pie. The box says CAUTION HOT all over it. It was cold and gross. The burger was not a cheeseburger nor without pickles. This place routinely screws up orders of one item. Management doesn't seem to care. Horribly slow drive through! 20 minutes to get coffee!! They wouldn't even slide open the window to apologize for the wait !! Don't even bother to order decaf coffee, because for some reason they don't keep it hot. Not even warm.....barely lukewarm. Not just one time, but nearly every time I ordered it! Always out of lemon slices for the tea. Oh, and don't bother complaining to the manager or corporate....nothing ever changes when you do! I just wish there was a way to give them ZERO stars. The only bright spot in this Fernley McDonald's is Sue who takes the drive through orders. She is efficient......unlike her management and coworkers. The remodel did little to help this location. The managers yell at employees in front of customers, orders are consistently wrong, and the lack of functional coffee and ice cream machines is so commonplace that it's a joke on social media. Now the angry little daytime cashier runs out to "assist" you with the self checkout machines and gets very angry and rude if you choose not to use them. In the future, we will spend our money where we aren't forced to choose between doing her job for her, or being snapped at for asking her to do it. read more

Our visit to the Fernley, NV location was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was dirty. The manager was complaining loudly about other employees. Then she made a comment about putting bodily fluids in food if President Trump were ever to visit this location. It's not the person, it's the fact that she ever said it out loud. There were several employees standing around. One of the employees was standing right in front of the counter on her phone. It took an extremely long time for orders to be received. Don't go here! Now, fast food is fast food. What you see is what you get when it comes to the food. So this is not about their food. This is about the service. The service at this particular McDonalds is routinely slow (it is not uncommon to wait fifteen minutes with just 2 people in line) and almost always under trained. The management in particular just doesn't seem to care. A woman who was obviously the staff's manager just consistently looked unpleasant in general. Their store is also almost always a mess. I have switched to Burger King right across the way for my afternoon routine. Not much better as far as cleanliness. But the staff is much friendlier. Especially their management. read more

When ordered a McPick 2 a McChicken, a S French fries a coke a Sau Egg Biscuit. I requested the Veterans discount an was told I could not get it because we had ordered the McPick 2. I asked why was told the McPick 2 is a coupon/discount meal. I ask for a MGR an had to wait even with MGR right there, Then I ask why she said I had to pay full price to get the discount. I pointed to the sign which stated : 10% discount on all veterans meals. There was nothing that said only on full price meals. This is the third an last time, each of the other times I was given a different reason why no discount. Why have if its limited. Lowes has a discount program an its on ALL items sold regardless of the price. Its just another Food place that is two faced. Real sorry. I really am never coming to you guys again. The wait is long even with no one in the drive through. The lady talking to us made my husband repeat our order 3 times because and her words"my co workers are talking to me sorry say that again" like WTF! Then go up to pay and NO ONE was at the first window so we went to the second window and they made it sound so inconvenient that they had to run back there and do the transaction when really people should be doing there job. What we really should have done is just taken our food and left with out paying but my husband being honest just handed her the money and took off with out getting change. we only went because we had coupons and everything was pretty much almost free. we got some free chicken poppers that were like mini nuggets aka popcorn chicken. they were hard as rocks. i had to get 2 new orders to get it right. the first was just the same bunch of rocks from the first batch. they had promised me a totally new batch. the 2nd was from a totally new batch, fresh and hot. they still weren't very tasty tho. my 5yr old grandson liked them, but kids like crap like that. lol! i have had better poppers sitting out at walmart in the deli section for hours (and those weren't all that good either). the strawberry banana slushies had so much ice you barely could taste the fruit. the fries are over salted i mean REALLY over salted. my son was picking off huge chunks of salt. we got another batch of those and they were better. but we had to ask for little or no salt. they said they have a shaker that pours out the exact same amount every time it shakes and it pours out tons. what are they trying to do? kills us with salt? horrible. the floor was clean, but had to ask somebody to come clean a table for us as there was no booths that didn't have a wipe down. another turn off was they were doing employee reviews right out in the main dining room. one girl was berated hard and was crying when she left. it was very unpleasant and i told the staff they should hold disciplinary reviews in the back break room, not in front of the customers. very unprofessional. but then most of them are. they obviously treat their employees like crap. we won't be going back unless we get some more almost totally free coupons. lol. maybe not even then!!! read more

What a disaster. I was second in line when they opened a new register and took someone who just walked in. Then ordered an onion cheddar burger and small fries for here. They forgot to ring up the fries. Then prepped my order to go. Then I looked at my burger, and it had no cheese! Next time I'll eat a power bar and skip stopping here! I only ordered a McFlurry, a chocolate shake, and an ice cream cone. The McFlurry was not stirred, the shake was the consistency of milk with whip cream on the top and no straw or spoon and tasted disgusting. The cone was the only thing they got right. I called on a Friday night to see what time they opened on Saturday morning so I get get 8 breakfast meals for my guys at work. The person on the phone from McDonalds told me 6am. I drove by at 5:15 am Saturday and the drive up window was open. It was to late for me to stop and be at work on time.I called the manager the following Friday night to tell my story and all I got was the window hours, no apology, and have a nice day. I ordered an Ice coffee nothing else, three orders that showed up after me came up still no coffee ( this has happned the last three times I went there). I think that there is either a new owner or manager - but I will never go to this McDonalds or recommend it to anyone. They doubled there prices on an ice-cream cones and I'm not exaggerating - for 1.00 you get a kiddie cone and for a large - maybe two more swirls - disgusting! I went to Steve's Ice Cream close by and had one of the best ice cream cones I've ever had! Also, this morning my husband went to get a fast breakfast and ordered two egg & sausage McMuffins and they charged him $8.00 - he said are you sure for $8.00? They said "yes" and he told them to eat the McMuffins and walked out. This McDonalds is now gauging it's prices and the food isn't that good!! Stay away from this McDonalds until they stop being so greedy, what a shame - we use to eat there a lot...now we go other places. Wow, look at the other ratings!
