Random story but I grew up in San Ramon and when I was a teenager in high school, I went to this McDonald's on a date with my high school boo many many years ago haha I hadn't been back in years, but recently went to their drive-thru for a hot chocolate on Christmas Eve since the Starbucks in the plaza was already closed for the day. This is the worst McDonald ever! It should be rated negative star!!! The drive thru employee was very rude when he was taking orders. My daughter tried to order some breakfast for us on Sunday morning, she spoke clearly to order one by one in case he couldn't hear well from the speaker. The guy was so rude to keep rushing and asking her that's it?? That's it?? After a while, she couldn't hear anything from his end so she said excuse me a couple times, then his response was EXCUSE YOU!!! I went by last month with the kids for lunch. I placed a mobile order and waited for a while in the car. I went inside to check and it was a mad house. At least 2 dozen people were waiting for their orders. People told me they had been waiting for a long time, up to one hour for one lady. I patiently waited because I didn't want to be one of those people harassing the poor employees for their order. About 25 minutes after I ordered, my order number finally came up on the board as being worked on and then disappeared. Nothing came out. I waited a bit and then asked an employee who was madly rushing about. He told me that it was in the computer. Before I could ask what that meant, he rushed away. 15 more minutes went on and my food was nowhere to be seen. Now I was impatient and flagged down an employee. He again said it was in the computer. No ETA or confirmation that the order still existed. I was unable to flag anyone down for a refund. I left with the kids hungry. So I contacted McDonald's Customer Response Center and asked for a refund and a response from the store owner. After 2 follow-up requests, I finally got a generic "Please be assured that we have enhanced our customer service training." I had to request a chargeback through my credit card company. Covid pandemic or not, when I am the only customer in the drive thru, how can you get my order wrong?! So then I have to drive back around to the front and go inside. No customers inside. Just me. I tell the person at the front that they forgot two cheeseburgers in my order. He tells the kitchen staff. Another customer comes in, orders, AND gets their order, and leaves.* And what about my simple ask?! Ridiculous. *And to top it off, the other customer's order was also wrong. He took the item out when inspecting his order, unwrapped it and showed it to the guy at the register. So the guy trades out the sandwich for something else that is correct. Slowest McDonalds, ever. I don't know how a restaurant that takes 30 minutes to fill an order can be classified as "fast food". Four times in a row that I've been to this location they've takes more than 20 minutes to make our food and they never apologize for taking so long. They constantly forget things from our orders and make things incorrectly. The last time I was there the woman behind the counter handed me our food, then proceeded to try to pass me as I was walking to the door and almost knocked me down. Again, no apology. The only reason this location is still in business is because they're the only "fast food" place in East Danville. I have visited the last 3 nights to grab some quick food. Usually service at McDonald's is very professional and fast but not this location. The workers lack motivation and drive. My orders have been messed up every single night whether it's missing fries, drinks, burgers or sauces. Then charging cash only for more sauce after they didn't give me the sauce I ordered. This store is on Doordash but they ignore orders the last hour they are open and don't respond when the drivers are waiting it the drive thru or knocking on doors to try to pick up orders they accepted. Sick of not receiving my delivery orders because this location sucks. They need to change their Doordash status to closed if they are closing early and not accept orders they don't intend to fulfill. Just trying to eat and their bad service is an incredible hassle because by the time the driver cancels the order because McDonald's didn't fulfill, then there is no where else to order. read more

If I could give this place -10 stars I would. Every time we stop there the people are always so rude, and majority of the time always forget to give us our full order. Today I want there on my lunch and purchased a salad amongst other items. Once I got back to my office and was getting ready to eat my food I noticed a huge thick black hair sticking out of my salad. How disgusting!!! I understand that it's a fast food place but at least they should train their employees on the importance of sanitary food preparation! There was no one at the counter, I have to say "excuse me" loudly five times, until a gentleman at the fries station pointed to the other person with long hair and headphones to talk my order. He then stood around for another five minutes before finally making my sundae cone, without washing his hands. That was completely unacceptable and a violation of health code. AVOID THIS PLACE. I've never been so mad at a McDonald's employee until now. This McDonald's need to train their cashiers on better customer service. The kid (possible high schooler? male, curly brown hair, a little chunky) doesn't care about his job. First off, I wanted to try the new Sprite Tropic Berry drink but instead, it came out as carbonated water. So I told the kid and I asked if they had anymore and he said no without even trying to use the soda machine at drive-thru station or possibly even looking to replace it. Then I decided to get Diet Coke but even that came out flat. I decided to ask the food runner for iced tea instead and she happily served me but she only filled it 3/4 full. At this point I was just over it. It also took us 20 mins to get our order and on top of that the kid cashier took my order wrong ( I wanted a meal, but he only charge me for nuggets and a drink) and gave me the wrong sauce for my nuggets. I have been here 3 times and they have messed my order everytime. First order they left off half the meat when I ordered a double. Did not know until I got home. I'm tired going in and out of this restaurant just to get the missing items and to let them know what just happened. Today, I was given a 20 pcs chicken nuggets without any sauces and my son's happy meal is missing the toy and the apple juice. I also included Sundae ice cream in my order and guess what?
