Came over here for a quick bite to eat before driving south to do some hiking in the Redwoods. We ordered and the food eventually came out but in the meantime we wanted to use the restrooms. This was the first time we ran across locked bathroom doors at a McDonalds (but not the last on this trip). Apparently, only one employee had the code and had to leave the front, walk to the back to punch it in and let us inside instead of just giving customers an entry code. They were a little busy so we had to wait FOREVER for this guy to do that. I realize WHY they feel the need to lock up their restrooms but its ridiculous to make somebody wait 10+ mins until you can walk your happy *** to the doors and let customers in. Really made for a poor experience here. Skip this McD's. Find another fast food restaurant in town. read more

McDonalds is a fast food chain so I don't expect 5 star restaurant quality but this McDonalds burger buns are always puffy, and they are not stale, they dont have finger impressions on them, the burgers and chicken are hot, the veggies are not wilted and look fresh. The Coke is crisp, the fries most often are hot and crisp except on a few occasions. They are friendly on the drive through and in person. The facility is clean and the bathrooms are always stocked and clean. My grandkids still love the Happy Meal toys. 5 stars. read more

The staff work ethics are so poor... you can't even pick up your food at the second window of drive through... they tell you to park in safeway parking lot (which is already congested ) every single time... it's insane... and you wait, wait, and wait and when they walk the food out to you... it is COLD... By far the slowest McDonald's I've EVERRRR been to. Waited 28 minutes for a water. Didn't get any type of hello as I was standing at the counter with my hands on it for 19 mins yet the manager proceeded to help place 3 separate orders after walking right past me and acted as if I wasn't there. Placed an order for a water cuz she obviously didn't care to help, waited ANOTHER 9 mins for a Dasani water. That wasn't even the plan. I wanted a water cup and figured by placing an order for a single bottle of water they'd push that one quick cuz it's in a fridge but no, they're incapable of reading the monitors showing them the orders and using common sense. Absolute garbage. The employees are completely dysfunctional and have no idea what they're doing, the food was bad and they completely botched my order, the managers are no where to be found. The drive thru-was backed up, so we went inside. We walk up to the counter and it looks like nobody's there, we get up to the counter and wait like 3 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence; the guy I was with, (who was paying for the meal) left his wallet in the car, and he told the cashier he'd be right back, but when we returned, the guy wasn't even in the building! Meanwhile, in the kitchen, all the employees are talking over each other and having no idea A LINE IS FORMING out front. All THREE managers are outside standing in the parking lot and on their phones while this is happening. By now, theirs about 7 people in line, and there is only one car left in the drive thru, WE STILL WHERE NOT SERVED! Almost 15 minutes later, we finally he to our food, and go find a table. The dining area was a complete mess, crumbs on the seats and tables, stains on the tables and chairs. We went to sit at a table, and there was an unidentifiable red smear on the floor. (I'm really hoping it was just ketchup) Also, they completely botched our order, I asked for NO PICKLES OR ONIONS! And what to they do? They loaded the entire burger with everything. About 25 to 30 minutes later, we pick up and get ready to leave. We walk into the parking lot and all three managers are still on their phones talking. Overall, EXCEPTIONALLY TERRIBLE PLACE! This location is very busy. We went by drive-thru (although we noticed inside was very full with people) and waited maybe 20 minutes. Only a few cars were in front of us but it took a while until we got to order (there were times the line wasn't moving at all). This location is also in a plaza and when the drive-thru line gets long, it can block pathways, We ordered 20 chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce and ketchup. We did not receive ketchup. read more

I really enjoyed the new spicy chicken sandwiches and newly remodeled decor. The service was fast and precise. Their price for the amount of food you get is so much economical that you cannot pass up. However the quality is still very good. The fries were little too cold and salty but the Coca-Cola is by far the best carbonated I've ever had. I am not even kidding. You must try their coke. It's out of this world. Very bizarre place. They have signs up reminding the employees the are not employed by McDonald's but employees of the Corp that owns the franchise. Service is slow and they wouldn't let us use the bathroom because it wasn't 8am yet. Can even tho we were inside ordering because the restaurant was open. They all had on these weird blue shirt that were clearly not McDonald's uniforms. That parts not affecting my review just thought it was weird. I've visited this McDonald's four times in the last month. As a newcomer to Crescent City, I expected the same old McDonald's sandwiches as I've received in other locations in California. The first two visits I ordered the Sausage Egg McMuffin. To my total delight, the bread (muffin) was the freshest I've ever received from a McDonald's or even when I've made my own Sausage Egg Muffins at home (using store-bought muffins). The sausage was exceptionally flavorful and was even a little larger around than the muffin, thereby giving sausage in every single bite! I received the same quality on both visits which was a bonus surprise! The third visit, I was a passenger in my daughter's car with the two grandkids in tow. It's been years since I've enjoyed a filet of fish sandwich. Once again, the food was HOT, bread was FRESH and everything tasted great! It was so good that today, with the pleasant experience of the last filet of fish, I passed through the drive-thru once again. I was not disappointed! I received the same fresh, tasty quality that I had received in my previous visits. I also must comment that on all visits the staff was efficient, friendly, courteous and helpful. Historically, I'd never have thought of giving a McD's five stars. NOW, I have to give a SOLID five-star vote of excellency to the Crescent City McDonald's. Whoever is behind the operations of this store and it's staff, don't change what you're doing! You're rocking it! This review is for the young man Thomas working by himself BUSTING his chops with 10+ people waiting. All my god was fresh, even my special order of no salt fries (I don't do the back, I just don't like salted fries) and he was SO kind and SO courteous and SO hard working in the face of a bunch of classless drunk people and those of us being tourists. We called your restaurant on the 12th at 1:54pm to ask if we should warn them of us ordering 21 happy meals. We were told no just to come in the next day and order at the counter it would only take about 5 - 10minutes. We repeated the information again to be sure and were reassured it would not be an inconvenience to order at the counter. We were trying to do this as a surprise for our 5th grade class. The girl who took my order was very sweet. She had to ask the manager for help a couple of times. The manager was not thrilled that I was making such a big order without calling first. But we had tried. I made a second smaller order and took the drinks out to the car. When I came back inside the manager was upset. A door dasher was trying to pick up orders and the manager was not happy to be interrupted so the door dash lady went out to the car. Then the manager bagged the orders for the dasher and dropped them on the counter. She then threw them down on the shelving unit by the door. During all of this I heard another employee ask if the happy meals were ordered on door dash. She said very loudly "NO, she ordered 21 of them at the front counter." I don't think she realized I was back in the restaurant. I held my composure and did not say anything although I really wanted to further justify the situation. Also, while waiting Tony brought some numbers in from the dining room. He handed them to the cashier and said "here so in case you need to remember how to count." She said "I know how to count I graduated high school." He said "that doesn't mean anything." Started to walk away and then said "Oh ya, you shouldn't go to college either, you should just go to a trade school instead." The girl just stood there and smiled I felt really bad for her. I don't feel that is a statement that should be made to an employee. I feel like he was degrading her in front of employees and customers, creating an uncomfortable experience for all of us. read more

After waiting 20 minutes to order we finally get our order get to the window the hashbrowns were ice cold they literally didn't cook them we held up the line behind us for over 10 minutes then the lady had the audacity to tell us $.27 for a sauce that we ordered when we initially started. Then they were arguing behind the window with the window open and we heard the whole discussion $19.97 later we get our meal no ketchup and no luck no napkins no nothing in the bag no forks either when we asked for them very sad very sad and very unprofessional I've never been to a McDonald's like this I probably wouldn't patronize them again FYI no manager seem to be around read more

If you are looking for fast food, DO NOT try to find it here! 20-30 minutes in the drive-thru before you even get up to the window. This occurs more often than not in the mornings. Pleasant staff at the window who apologized for the long wait stating they were understaffed this a.m.. Then I get my food and the order is wrong! Took it back into the store and spoke to the manager who was nice enough, but tried to pass the problem off to someone else. This is not a staffing issue, it is a Management issue! read more
