The caffeine level is so high, one cup will last you all morning and you will be back tomorrow. It's addictive. They run out of my favorite muffins quickly. Haven't been to Starbucks in a while so I went today hoping for zucchini bread. Had to take the pumpkin which was a bit stale. I ordered a small black coffee and when I took the lid off to add my sugar there was a greasy film on top. When I poured it down the sink there was thick black residue in the cup. Just gross. The drive-through line moved pretty quickly. The gal that took my order was very nice so I gave her $1.40 tip. I then asked for a stirrer. She was annoyed that she had to "go get one". The guy who made my drink wrong rudely argued with me! The guy who took my order raised his voice confrontationally and snapped at me and said I ordered it wrong! This is the same drink I order all the time at every other Starbucks. Two shots, one shot of vanilla and breve foam I have never had a problem before. I love the consistency of the drink flavors/the way they are made too, even though I change my drink quite often and add shots or more flavor or change the cold foam I get, they strive to make the drink the way the customer orders. This is not the first time they have discriminated against handicapped customers by saying drive through is blocked due to lack of employees. There were NO cars in the parking lot. Fact if you're going to have policy's in place for Covid that done make sense don't be mad when it back fires on you. God first cup of coffee I get every morning, it's made wrong. They say, "can't take coffee back and add syrup because of covid." Great make it again. Another lady comes out and defending how coffee was made see appeared to be very upset by this. Staff has it but says corporate won't let them put it in a hot coffee (we order this home daily so that is lie or pure laziness). It is very easy to say that not all Starbucks are the same. For the price one expects quality and good service. I do a lot of traveling between Oregon and California so myself and my wife have sampled Starbucks up and down both I-5 and Hwy 101. This review is specific to the store in Crescent City. On a recent trip to CA we started our trip with coffee and pastries from this store. Of course the pastries were as expected since they are prepackaged goods. Now to the heart of this review. This store not only upholds a high standard of great tasting coffee which has been the ideal of the Starbucks coffee Establishment since day one,but they are also highly efficient. I would like to give a special shoutout to Kennedy who was knocking out coffees at warp speed while maintaining conversations with waiting customers to see where in line their order was. The store was extremely busy and in keeping with efficiency the store supervisor jumped in to help make drinks. This is how a Starbucks should be run. Kudos to the entire staff but a special thank you to Kennedy to whom I promised I would not let her good work go unnoticed. read more

We usually don't go to Starbucks, but we had a gift card so why not use it. Got a white chocolate mocha, which was good. But they didn't fill the cup all the way. It was literally filled 3/4. My partner got a chai tea latte and it was very watered down. It tasted more like water than tea. Very disappointed. The scones were average. But this experience reassures me that we aren't missing out by not going to Starbucks again. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. They are very disorganized and need more training. At any other Starbucks they have one person that stays at the barista station but not here. They are running all over the place and my chai tea took over 15 minutes to get and I was able to just walk up and order, so it was not really very busy. Props to this place just for existing. There aren't many places open after standard business hours in this area for hanging out. This location is open until 8pm and has a comfortable seating area. It's a good place to meet up. For that reason, I'll buy a beverage that I don't like so that I can sit around and use the wifi and socialize. Those who know me know that I am not a fan of the coffee at Starbucks. Nothing against them as a company (heck, without them, we wouldn't have the coffee culture we have now or the great independent shops we love); just not a fan of their beverages. This place is the slowest, poorest-staffed Starbucks (or coffee shop) I've ever encountered. There were cars out to the highway, and I was in line for literally over 25mins (on two occasions). This is the slowest Starbucks that I have EVER been to. With about 8 cars in front of me it took 1 hour in the drive thru...and that was my first time there. I did decided to try it again and this time did mobile order and showed up 30 mins after I placed my order. When I arrived they hadn't gotten to it yet is what the girl said. 10 mins of waiting and my two drinks come out ready, but I still had 2 breakfast sandwiches to wait on. Another 15 mins pass and she finally brings them to me. They placed them by the drive thru window so they were cold when I got them. Absolutely the worst service and I most likely will never go back. Staff were pleasant. We got there around 5pm and ordered a decaf. Suddenly things became complicated. No decaf was made. We were told store was too small. They offered to make a decaf pour over, which was great. We didn't mind waiting. Around 15 minutes later staff said they could only find decaf espresso beans and asked if that was okay. It was. Having worked for Starbucks for 9 years in High School, College and that post college, trying to figure out my life stage, I believe I am a pretty good judge of the Buck! I come here often and will continue. As such I have seen amazing legendary service and some bad times as well. Overall my experience here has been positive. I have noticed this tends to be a draw for tourists who are camping, hiking, fishing or exploring in and around the Redwood Forest and tend not to see a whole lot of locals (though they do come here, mostly through the drive through). As such it is prone to crazy unexpected rushes My only complaint is they seem to be understaffed at times. But it's a quality Starbucks and the only one around ! All around good place to sit with my laptop, get work done, hold a meeting, read a book or relax with a cup of coffee! :) read more

A few days ago I was passing through during a road trip and needed a quick caffeine boost, however an employees car was parked in the drive thru. No sign stating the situation or anything. I thought it was a crazy person who just thought it'd be funny to park there or something. I was forced to park and enter the store, 3 baristas were behind the counter. I waited 15 minutes for my 2nd drink to be made which was literally just hot tea. During my wait, a barista came up to me to tell me that my drink was being made and that it was just taking so long because they were "severely understaffed". All they had to do was pour hot water into a cup and open 2 tea bags. Every customer that came in after me would inform them about the car in the drive thru and the employee would claim it has their car because they're "understaffed". This is completely unacceptable and I hope this location receives the training it desperately needs. read more

Blown away by how terrible this Starbucks was. I had no clue how much you can actually mess up a cup of COFFEE! I ordered a cup of regular Pikes Peak coffee with 5packs of sugar in the raw to go, it didn't even taste sweet but kept drinking, it was also room temp and still drank it. Update: one month later and I went back only because a friend asked me to meet them there. Surprise, surprise! 4 people in the entire store, 3 baristas behind the counter and one of them still parked their car in the drive thru claiming they were short staffed!!!! Products were out, my drink was made wrong again! I have been to many, many Starbucks throughout the country and I have seen baristas who literally run to get things done with smiles on their face and lines out the door and the baristas still don't make excuses.
