Both products were water logged from excess water from the spritzer. Both the bell peppers and the radishes had water inside their plastic wrappers, as well on a bit of frost on the a radish inside the organic radish bag. No, it was not mold, it was frost. They keep that section too cold for bell peppers and radishes. So, since I had not anticipated needing to drive around with greens and green onions in the car, while I shopped for the peppers and radishes at Safeway, the only sensible thing to do was just go get all my veggies elsewhere, and take them all straight home. The first time this happened was months ago, and I was unaware of the situation in the organic produce department and got home to find the radishes and peppers I had bought were inedible. The radishes were clearly saturated on the inside, with one side of the white part looking the normal white color and the other half looking grey and awful. This was just the result of being water logged and frost bitten. Anyone who gardens knows what I am talking about. Also, the bell peppers had large soft, soggy spots that were not rot, but soggy and frost bitten. I do not understand the attitude that a manager would have, to allow this to occur in a food store. Produce is called perishable for a reason. Produce needs a little bit of care to remain edible for a reasonable amount of time. Besides the wasting of food, this practice of neglecting the standard of storage and/or display of produce says so much about the departments' lack of regard for the shopper or the value of food. Especially since this is not the first time this has happened to this shopper. Walmart does not care, so neither will I care any longer, to shop Walmarts' produce department. The extra few miles I will drive for decently cared for produce will be fine with me. The waste of food through careless handling is not fine at all, however.

My sister went into hospice and we were unable to pick my meds that Saturday because when I got there they were on lunch. I called on Sunday to ask if my prescription would still be available on Thursday which was my next scheduled trip to drive the 35 miles to Crescent City. Prior to leaving I checked their website to make sure they wouldn't be on lunch. I got there 30 minutes before their lunchtime listed and was informed that they had taken my prescription off the shelf and it would have to be refilled. After explaining that I drove 35 miles and had tried on Saturday to pick them up he said sorry you'll have to come back this afternoon. That might sound nice and excellent customer service but the way he said it was like oh well,tough luck. I told them I could only get back in maybe a week. They said fine but it was more like I'm not helping you so go away. I am going to pick up this prescription sometime this week and cancel all my refills to this pharmacy. They are inefficient and rude. I guess they haven't figured out paying customers is what pays their wages.

Also they have a nut counter... you know or maybe you don't remember being able to go in to a drugstore and buy warm nuts. They keep all the nuts under a heat lamp and they are warm and tasty when you want them. Everyone was helpful and nice... guess it goes along with the Brookings experience.

My wife had called the day before and told the representative exactly what she wanted. I picked up the product, took it home and after my wife looked at it she said it was not what she asked for. She then called and spoke to the same person at which time she changed her story about the product. I then took the unopened product back to the store along with my receipt for a refund. I was told that that particular product was non-returnable and there was a sign speaking to that. I never saw a sign as the clerk handed me the product. I then spoke to an individual behind the counter and she refused to take the item back. I was never told that the item was non-returnable at my time of purchase, and it does not say anything about that on the receipt. I told the clerk that I would be disputing the charges with my credit card company and left.
