Today, I shopped at Walmart in Crescent City, CA. for salad veggies. Today is 1-20-2025. I was in the produce department at about 1:00 p.m. Went to find organic green bell peppers and found them and the radishes, just below the peppers. Both products were water logged from excess water from the spritzer. Both the bell peppers and the radishes had water inside their plastic wrappers, as well on a bit of frost on the a radish inside the organic radish bag. No, it was not mold, it was frost. They keep that section too cold for bell peppers and radishes. So, since I had not anticipated needing to drive around with greens and green onions in the car, while I shopped for the peppers and radishes at Safeway, the only sensible thing to do was just go get all my veggies elsewhere, and take them all straight home. The first time this happened was months ago, and I was unaware of the situation in the organic produce department and got home to find the radishes and peppers I had bought were inedible. The radishes were clearly saturated on the inside, with one side of the white part looking the normal white color and the other half looking grey and awful. This was just the result of being water logged and frost bitten. Anyone who gardens knows what I am talking about. Also, the bell peppers had large soft, soggy spots that were not rot, but soggy and frost bitten. I do not understand the attitude that a manager would have, to allow this to occur in a food store. Produce is called perishable for a reason. Produce needs a little bit of care to remain edible for a reasonable amount of time. Besides the wasting of food, this practice of neglecting the standard of storage and/or display of produce says so much about the departments' lack of regard for the shopper or the value of food. Especially since this is not the first time this has happened to this shopper. Walmart does not care, so neither will I care any longer, to shop Walmarts' produce department. The extra few miles I will drive for decently cared for produce will be fine with me. The waste of food through careless handling is not fine at all, however. read more

This place is rough. I am actually shocked it has any good reviews. The parking lot was filled with random people just hanging out and parked all over the place. It is small. It is unorganized. Racks of stuff were in the walkways. The clientele was grumpy, disheveled and a little rude. I had never been to a Walmart that has liquor, but that seemed to be the most popular thing they sell here! The amount of people on the liquor aisle was crazy (and this was a Tuesday afternoon)!!! The one associate I interacted with was fine, although the lowest talker in the world. The app said they had a bunch of stuff that they were out of - which sucked, but we got by. It is Walmart it works, but this one was in my opinion weird and a little gross. read more

This is a really large and really well organized Walmart. Pretty much everything you could want is there, though they may be temporarily out of it. They did just scale back on their specialty coffees ( Shame on you!) its why I removed a star. But the store has decent selection and helpful staff. It sometimes takes a while for staff to come to areas where items are locked up (IE cosmetics). There are sometimes a few problems with the check out areas. Last weekend the conveyer belt at the stand I was at wasn't working well. The week before the ATM card read was loose making it hard to enter data. I know you get a lot of customers... but have to keep things moving along. read more

This lady who worked tonight named petrea? I would describe her as an older woman with pink hair. She was working as the cashier tonight & she was very mean. We had alcohol & couldn't our purchase our bottle at the self check out. My fiancé asked the lady if she was open. We were confused because the light was on but the sign "lane closed" was there at the same time. We needed confirmation and so he politely asked. She responded, "YAH" with a nasty tone. We just let it go. An elderly woman who was so sweet asked politely if the lane was open because she noticed the sign too. And the cashier was like "omg are you serious?" And looks at the customer before us and said, "do I need to spell it out for these people tonight? Jesus!" I APOLOGIZED to the elderly woman and told her that this sign doesn't make it clear for anyone. The cashier didn't see that the "lane closed" sign was there and she asked if we can hand it over to her. The cashier did not apologize or show any empathy! Can't believe how mean she was to this poor woman. By the way, she was disabled AND she was on a scooter for her groceries. So crazy to me how she could treat someone like that. I almost lost it! She needs to be more kind or don't work at a place that isn't your fit. I will never come here again. read more

They have great service, and are very nice. They are not good at finding open packages, because I have found several, as I found a half eaten caramel bar sitting on the shelf. They have cheap items and good quality, and can help you in a pinch. read more

WALMART PHARMACY: Mike Henderson is the Head Pharmacist and is about the nicest human being that you could possibly meet. It's a pleasure going to the Pharmacy and knowing that everything is going to be taken care of. I've had occasions where it was difficult to obtain authorization for a particular medication to be covered under my insurance policy. Electronic department had quite possibly the worse service ever when I called in asking if they had an Xbox 1. The lady told me to callback in an hour to get ahold of another employee to tell me if they had one. I just got off the phone with my ELDERLY MOTHER AND FATHER only to hear they had to leave a whole cart of groceries at check out due to them trying to buy 2 six roll toilet paper instead of the 12 pack. They are at high risk even going out! And your managers (chris) at the Wal-Mart in Crescent City CA told them they can't buy the rest of their groceries!!!! In what world does that make sense! During a pandemic! Telling the elderly if they don't like it then leave!? I need something done IMMEDIATELY. My parents had to return home empty handed! They spent that whole time getting groceries only for them to be treated like that! Your managers need professional help. Telling the elderly to leave empty handed for trying to buy 2 six packs instead of the one 12 pack! They had both in stock! My parents had to dump out the groceries! They had already been ringing up groceries at check out!!!! CHRIS STARTED PULLING THE CART FROM THEM!!! MY ELDERLY DISABLED FATHER HAD TO HANG ON TO THE CART. AND CHRIS TOLD THEM TO LEAVE. Today I observed some of the most insane behavior by two Wal mart employees and a customer. A shopping cart was blocking the restroom, keeping a VERY assertive lady in a wheel chair out. She was indeed verbal stating very loud, get out of my way. The employees told the customer don't worry about her..."she was a ####crazy lady"...thus leading into a very loud. rude and inexcusable exchanges between the two . I believe this could have turned into a very explosive EVENT. Even tho the W/C lady was loud and pushy, you don't promote your store by calling the lady names. A lot of this occurred as I was in the B.R. When I came out, the two employees and the customer had left. I did talked to the lady calmly in the W/C. She stated, just because she was homeless no one needed to call her crazy. I agree, your employees could of walked away rather than get into a shouting and cussing match with the lady in the W/C. Wal mart train your employees, also I am sure you know this homeless lady..perhaps someone from your store should apologize for their mistake. I did explain this to a manager as I left the store...but I am sure it didn't get far. read more

I just had a visit at walmart and so far my experience was at least a little okay until I found out there were no bags at ANY of the registers and if you wanted to get a bag you would have to go and get a 4 dollar bag when the bag at dollar tree you can get for 1 dollar and instead walmart quadrupled the amount of money for the bag you can get for less than a dollar. So I was also shopping and it looked like they had a pretty good place and it was not as big as other stuff but it was the biggest store in my city so yeah. Then I have to complain about how some things are overpriced like the plastic bags are okay they only cost 10 cents BUT the other bags cost 4$ and if they have no bags you gotta buy the 4$ bags instead of the 10 cent bags and that makes me VERY ANGRY. Another thing is that I think walmart is good when it comes to shopping there but when it comes to when they are out of bags its better to just bring your own bags and not risk them having no bags. I also think that Walmart also is a good store I would reccomend going there too and I think it can be a good experience and a bad experience at the same time. Another thing is the parking lot on how many people just sit on the sidewalk and just sit there I mean what the heck man why? I also think the service could be better I mean like the bathrooms could be cleaner and the employes could do a bit better at the moping and other stuff. I cant just say negative stuff so one thing possitive is how it looks and how it all is I think that the scenery is great and it looks cool or to me at least. Final review I think that they could do a lot better on what is done here at Walmart. read more

I haven't dealt with so many rude people in one place in my life, you would've needed to have been there to fully understand. I purchased a new phone on Walmart.com, so I put my baby in the car and took the phone to my local Walmart to BUY A SERVICE PLAN and activate it (I called the day before and I was told there would be someone to do it that day) and when I got there I was told there wasn't anyone there to do it, so they sent me to the other Walmart across town and said there would be someone there to do it. So I put my baby back in the car and went all the way across town and I called to make sure there would be someone there to do it, they said there would be. Long story short, I got there and there was no one there to do it, and I was informed that my phone was considered a 3rd party item (that's all they sell is 3rd party items, except their chicken, they do make fried chicken) because I got it at Walmart.com not at their store and that basically they didn't have to help me at all. Long story short they did finally set up my phone (after I was told I would have to wait for them to take care of paying customers), the manager walked by and was called over, she was as rude as the rest of them. Walmart you sell online and in stores, and you make money off of everything in your stores as well as on your website, so it's all the same to your customers, and If you can't stand behind the items you sell online any better than this, you should leave it to Amazon. I have recently complained in the store about not having the disinfectant wipes for the dirty cart handles and after talking to several employees I finally got action and they filled them. The last several times they have been empty sgain! Come on walmart there is no excuse for the lack of wipes . Very disgruntled with your stores lack of cleanliness. Also your motorized cart that my elderly mother had to use was filthy. read more
