Corner Drug is now GOLD BEACH PHARMACY, FYI. And they suck ass. They moved half a block away and, under the continual excuse-making about getting their operations up and running, after ten days of needing a prescription to be filled, I was told today that my prescriptions *are still not ready.* I have used this pharmacy for years and years. I have tolerated their nasty CSRs, their ludicrous delays, their diminishing hours, their refusal to update my records. But this is just fifty bridges too far, this garbage. Take your business elsewhere, folks. This new version of Corner Drug is really an even more incompetent version of the old one, if you can believe it. Again--*ten days.* *Necessary medications.* A CSR who *actually tried to blame me for their screw-ups.* Go to Fred Meyer. Go up to Bandon. Buy your drugs online. Just don't use this place. They seem to be very overwhelmed with the demands of a pharmacy. Dropped off a prescription and was told it would be ready in an hour. Sent my husband back after 1.5 hours and he was told by Judd that they didn't know when it would be done or if it would even be done that day and they were closed the next for 4th of July. I went in on crutches in pain from having broken my ankle a couple hours prior to get my prescription paper back to take to another pharmacy. Judd then told me that it was counted and would be ready in a few minutes. He then got snarky and yelled across the pharmacy that my prescription wasn't even legitimate and they shouldn't have filled it. I'm still not sure what that was about. The poor manager on duty was working her tail off taking care of people and cleaning up the messes from Judd's unprofessional snark. She is the only reason I gave 3 stars. The manager on duty July 3rd deserves a raise. Judd needs to be retrained or let go. read more

This used to be a good pharmacy and a good all around fun store to visit and buy gifts and useful items. Now however, the pharmacy is closed Saturday and Sunday and only opened 9 hours a day Monday through Friday. Also, they used to have a good supply of toys, clothing, gifts. Even a good wine selection. And in their special gift area by the entrance they had an amazing selection of items. Great candles, Knick knacks. Signs. Clocks. You could spend hours in there looking at the stuff. It was arranged nicely and it was a comfortable place to look for that special gift. Now Corner Drugs has so many empty shelves it is an embarrassment to the community. The place is basically an empty shell of what it once was. I remember when it was on the other side of Ellensburg Ave and in a much smaller space and they still were able to provide a lot of things locals and visitors could use. It's a shame to see this once vital part of our little community go this way. If you have a prescription and you can't get to Brookings, I guess this is your only choice. Other than pills, there isn't much you need from the Corner Drug Store anymore. read more

This is as good as it gets in Gold Beach anyway. Great little shop. Neat and clean. Friendly customer service. I was expecting your typical pharmacy store with greeting cards and a few medical supplies, but I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. Its more like a gift shop with extras. Looking for some unique toys and games? They are in the back along with the arts and craft supplies. Want some local wine? Yeah, they have a whole wall full. They also have tons of cosmetic supplies, health and healing products, organic drinks and snacks and so much more. read more

I love this store, so my review is for my most recent visit and the employee named Melissa. She was so rude to myself and 2 of my 3 granddaughters. Mind you, these girls were doing nothing wrong or I would have corrected the issue myself. One was looking in to the glass case at some body jewelry, when Melissa rudely told her "dont lean on the glass" no, please .. nothing. Then when my other granddaughter wanted to buy a nose ring, she had a particular one she wanted to see, and Melissa told her "well they're both that same, but ok". Really?? What kind of customer service is this? If she doesn't like her job, she should not be there. I've been going to the Corner Drug since I was 12 years old and visiting my grandparents on 6th street. That was when they were in the old storefront that is now the bbq place. I love this store but this girl just has to be called out on her behavior! I don't live in area, so I'm sure hoping the next time I'm there, she isn't! They have some of the cutest decor items, it's worth stopping. Just hope Melissa isn't your cashier. read more

Went to Corner Drugs for a few items, wanted to gets some cash back, 40.00$. The cashier a male with no name tag told me they don't do that. He was rude and unprofessional. If you want my business show your customers some respect, and catch up to the times. Because your the only game in town doesn't mean you don't have to provide decent service. read more

What a fun place! My wife and I make a point of spending an hour or so browsing the gift shop and wine selection every time we visit Gold Beach. We're more or less of the minimalist bent, but what do ya know, we always end up buying something! read more

What a awful place. Went in for some toys for my son. He picked out a legos kit. Price tag says $9.99. Went to pay, WHAT? They said $79.99. Showed them the price, they said it was a mistake. Went to get a different kit, it said $24.99. Went to pay, WHAT? They said it was $39.99. I asked if anything was correctly priced. Told them they should honor the price that is marked. Went to find another kit, the manager came out and pulled all kits off the shelves, saying they weren't for sale anymore. Indicated that my son was changing price tags around. I will not recommend this place or shop there again. Extremely rude people. Even whispering about us like we were trying to pull a fast one on them. read more

On 11/15/14 my friend and I drove up from Coos Bay, OR. We stopped at the Corner Drug because I had been there a few years ago and liked their gift selection. As we walked in we were greeted by an employee who informed us the store was closing in five minutes. I said "you close at 4 pm"? She didn't reply. I hurried over to a hat display, picked out a cute one, and paid for it. Then as I was looking for my friend, I saw an entire aisle of what looked like hats and accessories. As I was Christmas shopping, with a few more minutes, I could have bought several items for those on my list. The store employee had locked the front door and was waiting for us to leave, so we had no choice. NEVER have I shopped in a store where the customer could finish their shopping if they WERE IN THE STORE BEFORE CLOSING TIME. Of course, we would made it a point to arrive earlier if we had know they closed so early, but we didn't, being from out of town. I have also worked in retail stores, and we never tried to shoo people out the door so we could go home IF THEY WERE ALREADY IN THE STORE BEFORE CLOSING TIME. Clearly the employees of Corner Drug care more about going home than providing customer service, and maybe they need more training. All in all, a very frustrating experience for my friend who traveled an hour and a half to Gold Beach. read more

When I moved to Gold Beach in 2015 I was still getting my medication from my old pharmacy. 2016 I switched to Corner Drug to be more supportive of local businesses. They were really good as far as keeping up with your prescription. You never had to wait weeks for anything. Some time in 2017/18 a new pharmacy moved in the service has gone to hell in a hand bag. When you call in for refills it can take weeks. No one tells you the same thing twice. On Monday your prescriptions can be in the process of being filled. They instruct you to check on Tuesday. Tuesday they can't find any trace of any perscriptions being filled. So they tell you they will call you back. Which of course they don't. Then Wednesday you call and they say their ready. You get there and out of the six refills you called in they have three. So pissed off, but, trying not to show it you ask, "Where are the other three?" They say, well you only called in three. Your like, no I called in six. Well we only have three what other ones do you need. This BS can go on for weeks. I'm taking my business else where. I'd rather drive to Brookings then deal one more time with these clowns. My advice is DON'T USE THEIR PHARMACY, EVER! read more
