Swell Coffeebar is now our go-to spot in Crescent City! We tried both the mocha breve and the salted maple breve and they were both fantastic -- rich, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. Not overly sweet, just really well crafted drinks. On top of that, the staff was some of the friendliest we've encountered -- warm, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Relatively new coffee shop with unusual garage door next to the main door and simple modern look with sparse but adequate seating for the few patrons wanting to sit to enjoy the excellent coffee made freshly from the best beans with smooth and fragrant finish. Latte with whole milk comes with elegant leaf pattern and chai latte is hot and flavorful. The ambience is nice and neat with fast service. Excellent addition to the local coffee scene with good variety of pastries. Don't expect breakfast ham and cheese croissant. Salted caramel latte was absolutely delicious. I was hoping for a little more usage of the large space for maybe local retail items, more seating or additional decor. The space just feels kind of industrial and empty. I figure they are still setting into the space since they opened not too long ago. That said, I will definitely itself be back. read more

My Americano and Pumpkin spice bread was the perfect way to start my day!! The Americano was smooth and balanced, I enjoyed every sip. Just 2 minutes off of North 101 as you come into town. The shop is a cute coffee shop, way different than the what the building was before they moved in. We were greeted with a smile from Kenny and Bre and the employee that were working behind the bar. Our order was served super fast. This is IMO best coffee in town, definitely will go back. read more

I've been a few times now, and I generally go in as a clueless coffee-guy and go with their recommendations. The coffee's been delicious, I've tried both the Gibraltar and the Flash Brew and I'm starting to feel really spoiled to have this little spot so close to me. The menu is pretty compact, but I get the impression that they're going for quality over quantity. Food options are a little limited, but I've tried both their pumpkin and blueberry coffeecake, ridiculously good. So happy to have this little coffee spot. read more
