Although it the drive-through is supposed to be open around the clock, we waited nearly 10 minutes to get service from an employee, not sure what they were doing at the time. Nonetheless, I place my order with the code from the app, so everything was paid for. But to my surprise, an Afro-American lady told me I didn't pay and I had to pay before I got my food. I said I did pay. Check your computer. Sure enough, she came back and said yes you did. After that I said the burger has no muscle on it, right? She said, no you didn't ask for no mustard. I said I sure did, and she continued to go back and forth with me. Finally with the face of anger, she said fine I will remake it. She came back gave me my food, no thank you, no smile, nothing. Not sure what they're teaching employees today at mcdonald's, but it sure isn't customer service or good manners. Mostly I only experience the drive-thru and the staff are all very friendly. I highly recommend getting the McDonald's app to get deals and to be a part of the MyMRewards program. The drive-thru line gets kind of wonky during busy times, but not as crazy as another restaurant nearby. If the line is long I would recommend choosing curbside pickup in the app. read more

First off, I realize we're talking fast food here, and it's not as much as the taste, as it is the blatant disregard for what we get vs what we pay for. Only reason I'm writing this is because it has happened to me almost every time I drive thru to pay and pick up my order. Employees are always kind and respectful, but it stops there. When it comes to food preparation, the employees lack care, and when the dollar bill does not go very far these days, I (we the public) should get what we pay for! There's not much you can get wrong with the main items on the menu, HOWEVER, EVERY single time I visit, wether it's a large fry or medium fry I get with my combo, the fry container is ALWAYS HALF FULL! When I buy a large combo meal, I end up with a large fry container with medium sized contents! When I order a medium combo meal, I end up with a medium fry container with small sized contents! Management needs to step up and train their employees better, unless they're training their employees to cheat the public by filling fry orders half empty! This is not a joke...imagine how much money this location is saving by filling every customer's fry order half empty! Oh, just one more thing, their Sprite has been tasting like chemicals lately, so not sure if their cleaning out their soda machines with chemicals and not rinsing the machines properly because there's definitely signs of some sort of cleaning agent in the Sprite MANAGEMENT, this is on you...you need to make this right. read more

I was eagerly awaiting the reopening of this location after a mandatory remodeling, but there are problems at this location. My takeout orders have had items missing or wrong sizes. The french fries at this location are awful - they're usually soggy with an oily flavor. They must not be changing the oil or doing something wrong. I threw out one bag, and got sick from another. I don't get fries like this in other locations, so it's not the chain - it's the local management. The Quarter Pounder was cold on another visit. The mandatory remodelings strip the character from each location, but that's not the franchise owner's fault. I've stopped going to this location, even though it's closest to where I live. read more

To be honest I missed the way this place used to look like with the nascar car in the main dining area. They remodeled it and it seems much cleaner but that's it. I didn't think I would be reviewing my local McDonald's but I had such a good experience there last week - I wanted to recognize the outstanding service. McDonald's has never impressed me service wise - though not as bad as Wendy's or BK service - they're by no means at Chick-fil-A level (for service and friendliness) Well maybe they have a new manager or training program - or maybe I got lucky Thursday night. Both the person who took my drug thru order and the person who handed off my order, were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The food was good too! And we got the blue raspberry icees for a small up charge with my happy meals. Sauce was provided for nuggets even though I forgot to ask. McDonald's in SHADOWWOOD recently renovated to a more modern ambiance. Though we didn't go inside this time, I would definitely come back hoping the service stays at this level. This location must be paying higher franchise fees; otherwise they should be closed. Every visit has had an issue. Missing items, cold items, incorrect items. Again at this McDonald's they have managed to let us down again, first was a drive thru cashier steeling credit card numbers and using them to purchase meals later on in the week to now placing mobile orders to have them tell us we have to reorder and pay again because they were already picked up! So basically management at this location is not doing their job correctly and enforcing to verify mobile orders or the staff calls friends to pick up free meals when there is an order pick up. I usually don't write reviews on QSRs, but this might be the worst McDonald's restaurant in the chain. My kids love Happy Meals and cheeseburgers which we have ordered To Go over the past couple of years. Once in a while I enjoy a breakfast sandwich. I would estimate that 25% of the time they get the order completely wrong. Three times on a Saturday night I picked up 3 meals before going out to dinner with my wife and the orders were completely wrong. I had to go back to the restaurant and show them the receipt and they had to replace it. Five times I specifically said to have a boy's toy in the Happy Meal only to get home and it was a girl's toy. Oftentimes the bags are given without straws or napkins. McDonald's is usually know for being consistent and efficient. This store is consistently bad and not efficient. The person taking the orders is usually very slow. The bread is oftentimes stale. This is the worst MCD I have ever been in. read more

Was in there approximately 7:30 p.m. on August 31st. The place seemed to be totally disorganized. There was a woman with a bleeding foot, bleeding on the floor. A man in a chair disabled that according to what he was saying on his phone. he had been there for about an hour trying to get his order corrected. I personally had to wait approximately half hour to an hour to get my order. Felt nauseous watching the woman bleed on the floor. One person was intermittently at the front counter, and approximately 5 to 10 employees were working in the back. The person I believe was a manager, seemed to be almost helpless. When the disabled person went to leave after finally getting his order correct, he requested assistance to help with the door, which he was unable to get, so he wound up storming out. read more

We've been here a handful of times now, the service is a little iffy but the food is always always always hot and consistent. Regardless if we order 1 sandwich or a handful of them everything is always served perfectly. Highly recommend this location whether for dining in or taking out. The interior itself is very unique. Excellent recovery by management and staff. This McDonald's literally came back from the grave. I wrote a one star review on this McDonald's and like many others trashed the food, service, management and cleanliness. Every word WAS true. I stayed away until this week when I returned because I was starved and had to go to Home Depot. First thing I noticed was it was spotlessly clean. Then I was greeted by a well mannered clerk who took my order and handed to me in less than 2 minutes. The food was excellent, fresh bun good fry's and delicious. The staff was busy cleaning over the clean. I was so impressed that I spoke to the Manager who remarked that he was responsible for the recovery and knew the reputation he had to overcome. He and the current staff have done the impossible. Needless to say I'm glad to be a return customer. Give them a chance to prove it. read more

There's usually always lines at this location for the drive threw. The service is usually fast but the people who talk on the microphone have a hard time hearing your order. The reason I'm giving this location a 2 star review is because they usually never carry the near seasonal items. They didn't carry the pumpkin cream pie or the holiday pie. To further prove my point on how they never carry new items unless every location does. They have a poster of the new beverages on the window at the drive through but ask them for a drink that's on the poster? "I don't know why that drink is there, we don't have it on our menu" . The thing that makes this McDonald's stand out from every other McDonald's is two-fold. First off, it has a late night/after midnight menu, which really means most breakfast items are available after midnight, yay! Not sure many other McDonald's have this menu as of now, but I know they are expanding it. This McDonald's is also open 24/7, which is also a benefit considering many places are not open that late. The other being that it has a theme, even if it is kind of strange. The whole interior of this McDonald's has a racing theme, with tons of decoration throughout. Now I don't really think it makes the place nicer, just makes it different. I could kind of see this making sense in Daytona where racing is big, but in Boca Raton, it is a bit out of place. Nevertheless it does give the place a bit of character even though it is just a McDonald's. Other than those two features, it is pretty much like every other McDonald's you'd see in America, with the same food, service and prices as everywhere else. Mr. Ernest Dos Santos (manager) finally crossed the line. I was told to shut up and never to come back to this location. His own words: "I will block you." He's doing me a favor by refusing service at this horrible location. Many of the drive-thru attendees are ADD sufferers. This recent incident stemmed from two previous encounters. The first one occurred a month or so ago when I was drinking my sweet tea (the only real reason why I frequent Mickie D's) in the drive-thru parking spot. Mr. Dos Santos was bringing out food to the adjacent car and apologized to the lady. I said, "There's always a problem at this location." He looked at me like a deer caught in headlights, and responded: "Then don't come here!" The next incident is when an ADD sufferer (Michelle) charged me for a free dessert when the coupon clearly reads: "Free sweet dessert with the purchase of $1 product or more." I ordered three egg white mcmuffins at the drive-thru. After paying for my order I was asked to pull to the side until my food was ready. I had a bad experience with this before so I decided to time the wait. After nine minutes and seeing that the drive-thru was now empty, I entered the store and asked where my food was. The manager, Thias (or Thais), said that it would be a few more minutes and immediately turned her back to me. I looked around the store and noticed that it was not busy. I asked Thias if she was the manager and she said yes. I asked for my money back which she provided and again immediately walked away. I asked what her name was and with her backed turned to me she stated Thias. I could not here her so I asked again and she quickly turned and quickly showed me her name tag.
